"Elia, I need your help."
Your brother sighs and nods, automatically reaching for his sling. "It's Noh, isn't it," he says. It's not so much a question as it is a statement of fact.
"I thought I could cope," you nod, "And with the fields, I was doing well... But he's a growing boy."
"I know what you mean," Elia nods, clapping a hand on your shoulder. "Still, it's only for now. He'll be able to help before you know it."
"He's already chasing birds away from the fields," you nod. "He keeps trying to sneak up on them and catch one."
"Well, my nephew's got some way to go before he can match the master," laughs Elia. Even entering his old age and with his joints starting to seize up, he still has an uncanny ability for moving quietly. He's also been uncommonly helpful to you, while you were still learning how to find your way around while blind. He may not be able to bring down larger prey, but if not for the birds and small creatures Elia can silently approach and put a slingstone into, you would have doubtless starved by now. And even Galit has been a great help keeping your children out of trouble. Whenever their mother's back is turned, Auntie Galit still watches them like a hawk.
Elia still has to feed himself and his wife, but he contributes three people's worth of food to your family this season. It's still not enough to feed everyone, but you might be able to make up for the shortfall yourself.

Death comes to everyone and death came to you, the only thing was you weren't a planned death. So the powers rulling over your world gave you a choice, you could spend all the rest of your life in Limbo or you could be reborn in another world. But not as another human or living thing but as something a sword. Once given the oportunity to choose your own fate you made yourself a magical Long sword with fire magic, owned by a barbarian princess. Unfortunantly things went in a different way once you discovered your owner was still in her twelve years and betrothed to a jarl called Elwulf Cedricson, and her wedding was about to happen in three months. You had arrived at the end of the long winter. You and Mila, which name is of the girl that became your owner. Trainned strengthening her body working the young girls. You also meet Bjoür, ex-member of Mila's father raidding party, retired because of the apsense of his right leg, once retired he took the role as the village blacksmith.
As you watch form your resting place you can see a small redhaired girl seated in the cold snow. She is a Vaergh and Vaergh's are warriors. she is eating a piece of meat and some milk taking a small rest once Bjoür comes to get you saying he would like to give a look at you.
"Well i did agreed with that did i? That you could experiment with me, but if you don't mind me asking, what kind of experiments do you intend to do?"
He gives a smile a more sane and young smith would thing you were doubting his skills but Bjoür he just smiles and explains to you that there is a lot of ways to know how a sword was made, from were it was made and sometimes by who. He wondered if he used his blacksmith skills, he would be able, not only to test the limits of his skills but also try to create a copy or a close one. In other words he's a merchant that wants to look at the competition and steal his technics for himself.

Let's make a total nightmare world, /tg/
I plan to use it in my Only War campaign, but with little tweaking it would fit in any setting.
Obviously it would be a Death/Daemonic planet, and I intend it to be a Space Vietnam meets Space Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs/Stroggos (so possible Dark Mechanicum outpost?)
Any poor Guardsmen sent here are either shot for heresy/insanity or are confined to an insane asylum.

Transport the Night Land setting to a planet at WH40K.
The whole planet's rusted manufactorum surface is open to the void of space, the sun is a legend by now, there's a single gigantic crust wound, a canyon as large as a continent.
There's atmosphere and life there, among other... things.
A single hive survives, dependant on archeotech relics that slowly degrade.
Outside, the wastes are filled with abumans, silent floating entities, feral servitors, the Eternal Watchers.
The humans know they won't last forever. They've known this for the last 20.000 years.
