Today is a day in which you learn things. You learn, for example, that the Shaft has full-service baths and that longstanding policy says you don't enter the Atheneum without taking one, so as not to offend the librarians or damage the books. It also has laundry facilities, for much the same reason.

You get to open your morning by becoming cleaner than you've felt in months, not because you haven't cleaned but because absolutely fucking nothing beats hot running water and scented soap. It's the little luxuries in life.

Your laundry being cleaned gives you an excuse to luxuriate, at least until one of the people tending it throws a still-slightly-wet set over the door to your bath. You emerge, towel off, and dress a bit reluctantly.

Still, you have to face the day /sometime/.

When you step out, the elevator is bringing passengers down from the Shaft. Curious, you take up your cane, don your hat, and hustle over to meet it. This can't be the reinforcements already, right?

When it hits the bottom, the elevator contains Victoria and Scribbles, the former armed professionally, the latter holding an unloaded crossbow and enough quarrels of bolts to start a civil war and a religious debate besides.

"Surprise!" the lamia says with a grin.

About the most I would consider would be using WoD Core and leaving out everything supernatural to run a gritty crime drama.

For some reason I think you could adapt Bob Barbas into a Demon, maybe make him an Guardian, Analyst or Psychopomp who fell and became a Tempter. He runs a news station which not only broadcasts mundane news, but sends hidden messages to Unchained during the ad breaks, these are mostly aimed at those who have yet to build up their covers and inform them about places or agencies they will be safe at.

Quite a difference from his role in DMC 5 I know.

I have a really specific character art request and I figured I might as well try here as well as fucking everywhere else. I'm looking for a student aged girl 17-22 in a uniform, like a blazer or blouse with long hair of whatever color. Kind of mysterious or authoritative. Maybe a student council type. If you're not the DM, raise the objection with the DM / group at large. If they don't care, you're the odd one out, and now it's your turn to be social: adapt or leave.

The scene at the table is festive, in spite of your mother's admonitions. She and your sister worked very hard to make this a special occasion to celebrate your return. Out comes platter after platter of expensive, tasty food they must have prepared in anticipation of your return.

Your grandfather sits at the head of the table. He has little hair left on his head, and his green glass eye sits motionless in one socket. That injury was what took him out of the assassin's business. He wears green and brown robes. His wife sits at his left. On his right is your father, who has a boyish face and long hair. Only a few wrinkles and stress marks indicate that the is approaching his sixties. Your uncle also sits at the table, having come back from traveling around the Elemental countries and peddling the camera lenses and other optics made by the company started by your grandfather. Unlike your father, your uncle keeps his hair clipped short, but has a full beard around his face. You sit next to your grandmother, who still grabs your grandfather's arm as though it were as strong as it was fifty years ago. Your sister also sits next to you. She's almost eighteen and stunning, having both the thick raven hair of your mother and the your grandfather's unusual green eyes. Finally, at the end of the table is your mother.

“Welcome home, my boy,” says Grandfather, “How was your mission?”

And so you tell them much of the tale, leaving out some details so as not to offend your mother.

“Son,” your father says in the midst of the last course of sake and deserts, “We have been contacted for another mission.”

I'm still in the beginning stages of setting things up, but I don't have enough players yet, and I want to be sure I have enough interest for this to be worth it. I'm thinking the campaign will be set in the Animorphs universe, but with entirely new characters and locations (no Visser 3). Feel free to message me with any suggestions/ideas.
