Hey, the Kenan and Kelemvor thread died before I could ask, but how would actually Ronald Reaganing the wall affect your alignment?
I mean, the gods obviously aren't going to be thrilled that you broke their stupid crap, but that can't stand in the way of justice.

I don't really see how you could find 17-18 more attractive than 15-16.
>>45932198
17-18 is when she ascends to True Animecestor and gets her own shoujo manga.
>>45932198
I think it's supposed to be a sign of maturity in her sex appeal, as opposed to 15-16's more innocent look.
The scale's skewed though. Maybe I'm forgiving (or desperate) but I'd still consider 7-8 reasonable enough. Not UN-attractive, certainly.
I seem to be regularly making threads about Traveller that becomes Traveller general so lets cut the middle man and just call this thread, Traveller General! Have Traveller Stories? Homebrew? Q&A? Or awesome ship pics or potential NPC/PC pics? Post here!
Anyone have any stories to share from their experiences playing scifi or traveller? Post dat shit son.

I've made it a kind of whenever-I-have-spare-time project to flesh out the Islands setting. It is as autismal as it sounds.
It always bothered me that the base MGT ruleset tends more often than not to mention any specifics about other bodies within a system or the composition of gas giants and whatnot. Sometimes I wonder if I couldn't model some of the systems in Space Engine or somesuch to see how they'd really move and where planets would have to be in relation to what type of star they orbit in order to be habitable.
Has one of your characters ever used a psychoactive skin or similar magic item as a primary part of their build?
Hello, That Guy.
>>45930217
A friend of mine has.
It's purely magical realm though, he loves latex and bdsm shit. I mean, hell play the game entirely normally, but I know why he has his Elfslut Casterbitch in a skin tight suit.
Psychoactive skin?
I enjoy figuring out how to make overpowered characters, as a sort of puzzle. D&D 3.5 is the most fun system for this, but I'm kind of sick of it. What else is a good system for character optimization puzzles?
(4E is boring because the results are constrained to marginally stronger combat characters. Mutants And Masterminds is boring because it's too easy to break. The point is the puzzle, not powergaming.)
GURPS. Have fun with that.
Why not sit and masturbate instead? Same result.
Magic: the Gathering.
What is the most metal way your group has ever killed anyone?
>>45930168
it wasn't really metal in the game's context but when a death knight had nearly killed every single party member and it fell to me to finish him off and all I had was a simple wooden club it became brutal
>be me fighter
>death knight is kneeling
>all I have is a club and a broken arm and a leg
>irl I get out of my chair limp across the room and mimic swinging a club over and over again while crying profusely
>dm says if I roll a crit ill knock him out
>roll the dice and continue crying/clubbing a pretend death knight
>hear half the room say "no fucking way"
>turn to see a big fat 20
>cue me swinging twice as furiously and crying and grunting even louder
all I could think of the entire time I did this waswhy where you never there for me dad I thought you loved me i though you loved mom why did you leave us why did you run away we have the same name dad i wanted you to be proud of me,now you are dead and there is no chance for either of us to say our goodbyes

Your metal is not metal, Judas Priest and Motorhead and Black Sabbath are. Each of those matches to a band mentioned.

Exploded his own skin (player was being of mana) layer to damage primordial evil... To save his enemies from it.
Yes. Enemies
So I'm working on a sort of squad/skirmish game very akin to infinity and I'm playing around with different mechanics. Got most of them down, but I have quite a few ideas in terms of how to handle armor... which leaves me with no idea at all.
Here's how damage works:
Very akin to a few Spartan games, it is a D6 based system where 4+ is a success. Therefore, if a player is to roll 3D6 for damage, every 4+ is an inflicted point of damage.
Now, I want to add armor and armor piercing to the game but I am unsure as to how the two should interact. The current Ideas I have in mind are:
1. Treat AP and ARM as you woult T annd S in 40k, therefore modifying the damage roll into a sort of "to wound" roll.
2. Having armor work like shields or point defence in Firestorm Armada as in the player also rolls a bunch of D6 and every success cancels out a damage success. Then AP would be the same thing except canceling out ARM rolls.
3. As above except AP simply reduces the ARM value, therefore the number of dice being rolled.
4. Same as above except AP modifies the armor roll by inflicting a penalty, such as 5+ for success.
5. Varying combinations of the above.
What's your take on a good ARM vs AP system /tg/ ?

100% honest, I have NEVER heard of this game somehow until now and I am taking a look at the rules right now.
>>45929252
So I've looked through the 2nd ed rules real quick and it looks a lot like option 2 but I have not found anything dealing with armor penetration which is what's really bugging me, because I want that to be an important part of the game. Anything I might have missed?
So I'm a DM and player who's fairly experienced with 3.5, and I'm about to purchase physical copies of some rulebooks. I'd really appreciate some opinions and contrast on the two editions if anyone would like to share, so I can decide which edition to sort of glue myself to for the future.
>>45928656
Both are crap. You are crap. The things you like are crap. Your fun is bad and wrong.
Seriously.

They don't hate psykers, they're just a lot more useful dead than alive. Alive they might win a few fights, maybe save a planet or two, but by dying they're going to keep the Emperor alive for a few seconds longer.
Previously, we got some very muddled answers from a soul and talked metaphysics with a pig monster.

You steeple your fingers as you take a seat and for some reason you can’t help but wonder just what Cennen has been up to lately. You’ve been keeping an eye on him of course but you don’t always understand what he’s doing when he gets it into his head to obsess over something. He has a habit of getting carried away. But still, Cennen has a good track record with these sort of things and remains under your supervision so you’re not too worried.
What was it anyway? Something to do with souls?
Bah, he could just come ask you! You’re pretty sure you’re the ultimate authority on that matter.
Your true name cannot be spoken by any human tongue nor can it be properly reproduced by any known alphabet. But you’ve come to accept that ‘Hiss’ is a passable translation. You are the current Serpent Queen and this is less fun than it sounds.
You are currently sitting in Lord Branth’s drawing room, ‘awaiting his pleasure’. Lord Branth is one of the most influential nobles in Melire and the most likely candidate for the new Mayor-in-Standing. His political tussling with a small number of other nobles in the city is what has lead to Melire’s current degradation, helped along with yours truly. He’s also staggeringly rich which is nice.
You’ve already started assuming control over Melire but as more of your troops and agents arrive by the day you’ve decided that it’s finally time to let what passes for the city’s rulers to know of your arrival. You’ll be charitable and even give him the chance to bend the knee of his own free will first.
If he ever lets you see him, that is! He’s had you sitting in this drawing room waiting for him for several minutes now. This is just unacceptable.
“I’d like to see his lordship now please.”

“I’m sorry ma’am,” the guard by the door says. He’s a pretty big guy and you get the feeling that he might be some sort of personal servant or bodyguard as well. “You didn’t schedule an appointment and his lordship is expecting a privileged guest soon.”
You roll your eyes. Humans. He doesn’t even know how many ways you could instantly render him insignificant. It depends on just how ...forceful you want to get and how well-known you want your exact powers to be.
>”He’ll be waiting for some time then because I ate the previous guest.”
>Just let yourself in. What’s he going to do?
>Readjust the guard’s loyalties.
>Offer the guard money.
>Try to intimidate the guard.
>Redistribute his soul into a more fitting form.
>Rattle.

Rolled 21 (1d100)
Last time we busted open a world revealing a whole lota...something underneath. Sadly they were all hostile. Other then that thanks to our Brood the Corporation is capable of breaking through to megacorp status. So both the CEO and Broker heroes are both busy working on that. The assassin is strangely suspicious of the gardener for some reason. Other then that the gardener is busy tending to his garden(unsurprising). While the assassin is doing who knows what. Kingler went on an adventure! While the broodmother is working on the broodworld. She states it should be possible to make even make it mobile given enough time and effort...
The main characters meanwhile are finally back to school.
So what do?

You get a fatepoint for me missing Tuesday. For all those cropped pictures I know those things are a massive pain in the ass considering how hard it is for me to find decent pics. So you get a fate point for each of those too.
So you have about 30 fate points left.
For actions I advise focusing on the the MC's to get good upgrades for em. The other forces are in the care of actual heroic units after all so there isn't too much to worry about for them.
bump for the others to arrive

I want to see what the undead class is like.
I guess Abi could use more unit training for the outsiders we have. Then we just need to see if it's worth while to master all unit leading.
Hey /tg/. I'm a fresh newbie to PnP tabletop games who knows very little about tabletop systems as a whole. I know the more prominent fantasy systems are D&D and PF. I have a few questions.
1) What's the main differences between the various DnD editions? How is PF different?
2) Aside from fantasy systems, what are some of the more genre-specific systems? What are the more prominent universal systems?
I can't speak for any D&D before 3.5 since I haven't played them, but:
3.5: Quite crunchy when it comes to rules, poorly balanced, tons and tons of supplements.
PF: 3.5.5, essentially. They try to fix things and it doesn't work.
4: Plays a bit like a video game, but is a bit better balanced and keeps different classes interesting and demands teamwork. It's unpopular because it really diverges from previous editions, so it has few players.
5: Awful, dumbed down with incredibly boring mechanics. It's easy to get into, but there is no depth. This is to D&D what HoMM VI was to HoMM, or some better analogy.
If you want to play a fantasy game, you are better off with:
Fantasy Craft for a game with tons of character options and great mechanics. Super easy to homebrew things. This is the best system out there.
Dungeon World for a (MUCH) more story based experience with very simple mechanics.
Anima and Exalted for much higher power games. 13th Age and Savage Worlds I've heard are good. I haven't played these, so I can't say much. They seem to be well regarded here.
Song of Swords is a very good simulationist game, especially the combat, but is hard to learn.
Other, genre specific:
GURPS can do any setting.
There are Warhammer 40K games if you like that stuff.
Big Motherfucking Crab Truckers pretty specific.
Vampire the Masquerade is good if you like that shit.
Same with WoD.
TL:DR play Fantasy Craft.
>>45926530
I've only played 5e but from what I've gathered the main difference is the amount that rules govern play. 5e is lighter rules like earlier editions were and 4e has a rule for just about everything.

still looking to crowdsource ideas for my "child-bright" setting (not married to any particular system)
Child-bright = bright world made for child protags. mostly filled with noble people, but not all. "cartoon violence" should be showcased, and basically no "blood and gore" (or grim-ness)
I'm looking for any and all ideas; all shapes and sizes. from an idea for a city, dungeon, race, etc... to a small detail such as a place-name, item description, spell idea, town-feature... anything
please don't hesitate to post any ideas you have. cuteness is heavily encouraged, and so is quirky flavor.
so far my influences draw from children's animated TV series', and E to T-rated video games: Nintendo games, Cartoon Network and Disney Channel cartoons.
GO!!!
So far ideas include:
•Sky Castle (on a floating "Skyland")
•Sky Whales (providing transport?)
•Great Forest (two factions of Pixies engaged in an ancient prank-war
•Dino Valley (with mysterious giant egg)
•Great Cathedral (with sections dedicated to various deities. built into a mountain)
•Paradise Isles (tropical island chain)
•Goblins Camps (in mountains, and dragon-master who hoards the goblins' spoils)
•Candyflies (flying bugs made of candy, who create a piñata-nest)
•Junkmen (build themselves from junk, and trade adventurers rare items)
•friendly Mimics (who consume fallen adventurers and their gear, and trade to other adventurers)
•Underground Civilization of Mineral People (who build cities of crystal)
•a Hero Sword (with a prophecy)
•Skeletown
•Automatown
•Imagi Nation
•and much more

Bailey smiles happily, doing a weird sort of hopping skip as holds the little rabbit girl in her arms, holding her close to her chest and cradling her carefully so she doesn't fall out of her arms due to her hopping around.
Sam pats me on the shoulder and smiles, grinning widely as he walks past me, not slouching like usually does. Lucy nervously starts to walk down the stone path leading through the beautiful garden.
I smile, and clench my hands, looking at the chitin covering my arms, which glints in the setting sun, almost looking like some kind of jewel. My wings flutter and I walk up with my friends, turning around and motioning for the ones who joined us on the way here to come on
Minor rushes up to me, smiling widely, as Poi chases after her, giggling happily. Smiley takes her mask off and calmly walks forward, Almost looking dignified, I chuckle as I see Berry trying to act like her as I turn around.
I feel something heavy jump on my back, and hear Blue shout "Come on big red, I want to see what's in her hive already, why are you just standing around"
"Haa" Thunder groans, walking next to me and pulling his hood off "Mi'lday I'm sure she doesn't want to be used like a horse beast"
"Hmm" Blue huffs turning away from thunder
"Well I mean the scary bug girl does have a point katie" Bailey says happily, giggling as she looks at me from the steps into her huge ass house "though I'm glad I'm not the only one who has to deal with that kind of stuff now, at least"
"And I am glad we are finally at a place we can settle down and reinforce from any danger" Little green says nodding "This one has the right idea, doesn't want my queen to be out and about getting herself hurt or worse, yes"
