ITT MAGIC CARDS THAT BELONG IN THE FUCKING GARBAGE

Are you really going to try and claim that she's worse that Tibalt?
This + everything Wizards made directly for EDH, especially planeswalkers, effectively ending everything that was fun, challenging and creative about the format.

nah this card is about as good as the red white ajani card, the problem is boros at all times of ever is the absolute fucking worst card combination known to man made for only manchildren who suck shit at magic playing babbys first aggroshitfest, also known as turn left.
Need to make a bard in a 5e sci-fi setting, where bards may only use electronic instruments of some variety (including a mic)
This setting will involve SPACE travel, a few laser based weapons, technomagic and ALL of Unearthed Arcana.

Only group near me, I have no choice. Besides, 50/50 shot GM can do some badass stuff with this setup.
IN A WORLD WHERE THE STREGTH OF A BARDS AMP DETERMINES THE STRENGTH OF HIS BEATS, ONE POOR HOBO BARD HAS TO MAKE HIS WAY USING NO AMP AT ALL.

It doesn't take long for a popular phenomenon to gain traction and become a sensation in almost every country with an internet connection. Case in point, Idols. What started in Japan only took months to get a start in other countries. England, America, China. All over the place, Idols were popping up and becoming superstars practically overnight. An Idol couldn't operate on her own, though. After all, YouTube would only get her so far. With progress and extra fame in mind, production companies sprang up, serving as managers, promoters, and every once in a while, confidants.
This is where *you* come in. The local ice rink has decided that they want to sponsor an Idol group, and for some odd reason, they've decided that you're the one in charge of the group. They won't even let you put these girls on a proper stage, insisting that they perform on ice. That little condition wouldn't be a problem, if the four volunteers had any experience doing this sort of thing.
With a resigned sigh, you sit down at your desk to look over the portfolios. First volunteer is a fifteen-year-old blonde by the name of Annaliece Decarion. She's got the smile part down pat, and according to the file, she's a good singer. You also read that she's well coordinated, but the main problem comes from her difficulties on ice. She *can* skate, just not very well, but that can always be improved upon.
The second volunteer is a seventeen-year-old brunette by the name of Jacqueline Cross. The oldest of the volunteers with a face of stone and a demeanor to match. According to the file, she's got a background in both figure skating and ballet, so she can definitely do the dance moves, but there's nothing available on her singing voice. Strange, and also disconcerting. Skating lessons can be done with all of the girls at once, but voice training would have to be done individually, at first, taking precious time away from getting the quartet performance ready.
Volunteer the third is another fifteen-year-old; a noire by the name of Yukiko Hanamori. Like Jacqueline, she's got a background in figure skating, but unlike Jacqueline, no experience in ballet. Yukiko isn't the best singer, but at the same time, she's not the worst. At the very least, she's expressive, and you can use that to your advantage in performances, provided her lack of confidence doesn't rear its ugly mug.
The last volunteer is a sixteen-year-old redhead, Lilian O'Reilly. Irish heritage and a temper to match. No real experience in skating or dancing to be had, but reportedly, she has a singing voice and talent worthy of the group's name. You'll have to stick her with either Yukiko or Jacqueline in order to actually bring her skating up to par. Hopefully, it won't take long to do that.
Done with the portfolios, you push them aside and look out the window. The girls are sitting on a picnic table outside the rink, waiting to be called in to start their first session. Yukiko and Annaliece are chatting up a storm while Lilian is fidgeting nervously and Jacqueline is doing something with her phone. You can either call them in all at once, one at a time, or wait and see which one takes the initiative to bug you to be let in.
>Call them all in at once.
>Call them in one at a time.
->Order?
>Wait and see which one takes initiative.

>Give her the antidote
>Give her a Mindbalm
Blue has walked out the door, leaving you alone with Elle. You can’t help but feel at least a little bad for what you and Hiss have done here. Even Elle finds it within herself to look troubled.
“That’s my fault isn’t it?” she asks. “I hurt her feelings somehow.”
She holds you tighter.
“Don’t you remember her at all?”
Elle looks lost.
“No? But I don’t remember a lot from the bad times. I was a different type of person back then, you know? A bad person.”
You sigh and gently push her away as you look around. Her room is completely bare save for a crumpled-up rug on the ground where you suspect she sleeps. She doesn’t have anything else and as far as you can tell, she just sits there and stares at the wall all day when neither you nor Hiss have need of her.
“You...really are. Do you ever miss who you used to be?”
“No. Why would I? I was a very bad person, I tried to hurt you. YOU! Every day I am thankful that the Queen had the mercy in her heart to remake me instead of killing me. I...I probably deserve to die.”
“It wasn’t mercy,” you mutter as you start searching through your pack. Hiss did it out of spite.
“You’ll tell her I said that, right?”
“Pardon?”
“Every day I am thankful. I am thankful and I am always praising her and thanking her for how she spared me. I’m doing my best so please tell her that.”
“I will. Now drink this.”
You hand her the antidote to the love potion and she drinks it without a second thought. She grimaces just a moment later.
“What is this? Not that I don’t trust you Cennen, I trust you more than anything! But...this potion feels bad.”
“How so?”
She steps away from you.
“I can’t explain it. But now I feel cold and ugly and empty and you know I love you right? I really do. I really do. But it doesn’t feel the same.”

She looks at you with new eyes, desperate to still see the alchemy-induced spark but unable to do so.
“You’ll understand soon enough.”
You pass her the Mindbalm.
Elle drinks it and sinks back down onto the floor, clutching the blanket to her chest.
“This isn’t good,” she mumbles. “Something’s wrong. There’s a problem with me.”
You pat her on the head and she doesn’t even seem to notice it. She’s practically staring right through you now.
“I’m very small,” she whispers.
“Pardon?”
She looks the same size as ever to you.
“Small and broken and I didn’t even know! Why did you have to show me?”
She curls up and hides underneath the blanket like a child.
“I’m sorry. Leave me alone please.”

What is a machine spirit?

A miserable little pile of binary!

>>46017734
The term "Machine Spirit," is likely a vague and slightly fallacious classification that the Adeptus Mechanicus have given to a wide variety of phenomena, from advanced, adaptive software protocols to fragmented AI. The belief that all machines have a Machine Spirit is likely false, as effective as the rites that the AdMech undergo all the time (based off useful principles but sometimes misguided or completely pointless.)
You are Tom Gainer: an unregistered Class 5 Super. You are currently riding an elevator up several floors within the Platinum Towers building with your best-friend-as-of-yesterday Jim Knots the Minotaur. You two are here to seek legal help to reunite Jim with his daughter, who was taken away. You have already started the process with some good old community service by kicking the local street gang, the Talons and their mercenary Villain PyRiot, out of their hideout and out of the neighborhood. At the same time, you returned things that the gang had stolen from Jim's neighbors and got the whole event reported to the newspaper with Jim in the foreground of the details.
You are a good friend.
When the elevator doors open, you are treated to the sight of an extremely cluttered office. A man in a tailored blue suit sits behind a desk looking through a thick binder of what you assume is legal papers or court transcripts. You don't really know. You weren't a law student. He man quickly closes it and stands and moves to shake Jim's and your hands. He introduces himself as Jack Raleigh and gets down to the brass tacks. Which for the most part does not involve you in the least. In fact, because you aren't a relative or a plaintiff, Jack apologetically asks you to wait outside the office while they take care of business. Jim apologizes as well and offers you the keys to the truck if you want to just wait at home or go somewhere else. He isn't worried about what happens to the truck and says he has his insurance all paid up.

>>46011765
Is this described somewhere in the books? Should it just be refluffed mummy rot?
>>46011751
Everything turns into dragons. Everything.
Dragon ducks, dragon mice, dragon trees, dragon moss, and especially dragon people.
Your setting's Tony Stark equivalent offers to build your character a suit of power armor (or... fuck, I dunno, wearable Warforged for the D&D players among us?) to your specifications. Money is no object.
What does your character want in their super suit?
>>46011704
As much magic-storing, magic-conducting and general magic-manipulating circuitry as physically possible without compromising the suit's stability.
A true Wizard wants not the power to emulate the Warrior, for he has already surpassed the barbaric realm of applied mechanisms.
Fully climate controlled to the point where it can be used as a space suit for extended time is bare minimum.
I've seen lots of Sci-Fi settings (mainly Star Wars, though) where aliens have some kind of weird language but as long as you learn it communication is not only possible but also easy and it kind of annoys me. Just in our species thee are languages that sound completely alien to foreigners, like vietnamese, icelandic or hungaria.
Sometimes the aliens speak with weird gutural sounds, which is a bit better but not really that much.
Just in our own planet there's tons of examples of animals that comunicate with sounds that we just can't perceive at all, ignoring the animals that communicate via movement, smell and so on.
Is there any kind of sci-fi setting with aliens that humans know are sentient but just can't communicate with no matter what because of how different they are? Or at least a setting where you need a certain equipment (not a translator) to be able to perceive what other creatures say?
>>46010638
seems like any species sufficiently advanced to build starships should also be able to make their computers talk to someone else's
>>46010638
I really don't think you can invent a spaceship if you can't read or write. Maybe if you had some insanely intelligent race which had perfect memory and reasoning, especially when it came to scientific fields, and which lived independently and thus not needing anyone else, you could feasilby think of a being which could make a spaceship without having the need for any language. But at this point, the creature would be so intelligent that it could invent one or learn another if someone actually wanted to communicate with it.

Ruadhan, that was the your parents gave you as the son of simple farmers. Live was hard but simple as you peacefully tilled the land a good two decades in relative happiness.
Your life would soon end as war would sweep across the land as foreign armies pillaged, killed, and put village's like yours to the torch. You were the first casualty in fact as you never even saw it coming as the light left your body and went dead cold. However sometimes the hands of fate decide to change the destinies ofmthose they deem worthy and you felt your soul return from the void.
First you felt a great burden fall away as you cracked your crusted eyes open looking upon the rubble of the ruined landscape. Next the warmth in your body returned as you rub your eyes clean and wipe the dirt and rubble off your body as you collect yourself as you unfortunately don't see any other survivors. But at least one person must have survived.... Right?
