After a time you start to hear echoing noises in the tunnels ahead. A Succubus scouts ahead and returns to tell you there is a nest of dozens of the monsters ahead.

“As soon as we start killing its minions the Killing Frost will probably notice” comments the Azure Empress “well, we're lucky to get this close without being, might as well go in loud and fast.”

“Or we could sneak past” counters Sofia “without killing a bunch of ice snakes.”

“They're not snakes” says Isla “many believe that they are a type of dragon.”

Then she notices all the unhappy dragons around her “Of course who really knows what they are...”

How will you get past these things?

Tea has been served along with rice cakes. Awkward small talk continues between the Captain and your mother. The little girl, meekly sitting next to you, goes through her rice cakes rather quickly, without having touched her drink.

"They go down easier with tea." You offer some advice, pushing your share of the snacks closer to her. She takes a moment to carefully examine you and the rice cakes you're offering, and after a nod, Miyu nibbles on a cracker and then takes a sip of her tea. The pale haired girl continues the pattern until she runs out of snacks again. She seems to have enjoyed eating like that more... or so you think.

The easy topics for small talk seem to have run out by now. Urahara Kisuke decides to get to the point, addressing your mother by your family name. "Tsukuda-san, I would like to speak with you in private before I get into the thick of the matter. Would that be okay? It's about Ryouta-kun, you see..."

"...Very well." Shiori agrees after a slight pause. She glances your way and you nod, take Miyu by hand and step out of the room.

Even though you're going to be the subject of their discussion, you weren't allowed to stay. You can't help but wonder about that. But perhaps the Captain has reasons for that?

The little girl continues her quiet stare, waiting for you to do something.

Yeah, I was in a party of glass cannons in my last PF game. I made a Plant Oracle for support, took the Spirit Guide archetype to grab the Life Spirit. Did a lot of life-linking, mass cures, mass buff spells. Was able to turn into a Treant or Sagauroi with Plant Shape for extra con and nat armor. Very tanky, had AC 40 something, had a high con and hp to absorb damage through Life Link, or whatever that life mystery power was called.

Breath of Life is great. Learn it as soon as possible.

Probably other similar builds you could do. Life Oracle or Time Oracle would give some nice protective abilities. But the spontaneous divine casting of the oracle is key, lets you be prepared for how ever the DM decides to fuck over the glass cannons.

oh, I should also mention area of effect crowd control type stuff. Stinking Cloud, Web, Wall of Thorns, Wall of Stone, Slow, Cloud Kill, Black Tentacles, etc. At higher levels you want Primsatic Sphere or Prismatic Wall. You might fuck over some of the glass cannons with this stuff, but you'll keep them alive. Hopefully they aren't pissy about it.

OP here, I forgot to mention that our party is probably going to be level 3. Can I still do all that?

That's chaotic neutral, or neutral evil depending on why they did it.

Chaotic evil would be torturing the guy before you killed him.

Did they abide by the contract? Lawful Evil at WORST, but you could justify any non-good, non-chaotic alignment. I don't even understand why this would be chaotic. Unless it's implying that a Lawful Evil character would hand themselves in when they committed a crime, which is obviously retarded.

Even if it is chaotic evil, that sounds well-thought-out enough to basically justify it. Chaotic Evil is only really that bad when used as an excuse to impede the fun of the game, and it sounds like you're doing something relatively interesting.

Working on that one book I "finished" two years ago. Changed the setting, which doesn't affect the story much, but the means of transportation and especially the weapons. Tonight I will try to write a fight scene I have to remake completely because the weaponry for those characters differs a lot and just changing out names and descriptions won't suffice. His character becomes a blend between him and the demons, amplyfying his bad personality traits and revealing that he always was kinda jealous of the protagonist. He seeks to humiliate him and take control over him. He basically has a domination fetish. This antagonist dies in chapter 15 of 18 and a new antagonist takes his place

the most (only) famous halflings in media are the hobbits in LotR, who mostly use shortswords, but are also famous for throwing rocks.

When you were last here, the town was a blasted place – hammered by storms and rocks falling from the mountains above. Things have improved since then, the worst of the damage repaired and tidied away, but the mood is a dark one. Before, the town had the air of one under siege, the residents drawing together to share the worst of the burden. Now, though, that community spirit has vanished. The few townsfolk you see walking the streets pause as you pass them by, studying you with mingled worry and suspicion. The reason for anxiety is all too clear – there might still be a killer among them.

A small measure of comfort comes when you run into a familiar face. Even with a black band of funeral cloth around his arm, like most of the people you've seen about town, Tawn Moriya stands out like a sore thumb. At a distance, he seems almost womanly – a harsh contrast with the tough looking locals – but drawing closer reveals the truth. As he greets you, you can appreciate the hard note of pragmatism in his face and words. He studies you, your wounds, for a moment before putting the issue aside.

“You're keeping well, Ira,” the note of vague irony in his voice is the only hint that he is anything les than sincere, “It's good to see you again.”

It's good to see him too. You really mean that – having someone here that you trust to watch your back is fortunate indeed. Why, though, is he here?

“I was sent here to investigate Garl's murder, and to safeguard the ruins above. The Emperor seems quite interested in what might lurk here,” Tawn pauses for a moment, meeting your gaze, “But I came here for the funeral, to pay my respects. It's tomorrow, I believe.”

If you don't want to do the work yourself, there's quite a few dungeon generators for fantasy settings. I think a favorite is Donjon.
