Take a look at the dude on the right. The one with the heavy armor, assault rifle and glowring red goggles. I bet he is a guard of some kind. Probably for one of the guests.
Must be a shitty job.
>It is so warm here and my armor makes me sweat
> All these people almost bumping into me, how am i supposed to keep my employer safe when everyone can get into kniferange without an issue?
> Why do they have to keep dancing so much?
> Stupid light beams keep strobing into my face, good thing I took the goggles, they make it bearable.
> That girl is whispering into that dude's ear right after flirting with my employer.
> I can't even do anything about it
> Why is this moron getting drunk again? Why does he order me to stand at attention like this is some kind of parade drill.
> I wish one of those fuckers laughing at me would stab the dude in the gut so I could wreck him
> Who decided assault rifles were standard equipment here? It's too bulky and I'm just gonna overpenetrate enemies and hit innocent bystanders
> Be a bodyguard for spoiled rich executive child brats they said
> It will be fun and easy money they said
> You can have a lot of girls they said
> Can't even order a drink during worktime
> Why is that girl lifting her skirt and OH SHIT its not a girl. At least its not a penisknife or something.
Curious if someone finds this funny.

Well, I keked
Also, I just realized how fucking big the Ohio River is, which kind of throws a kink in my setting. I suppose I could say it's a really deep canal they constructed to cut through the city? But that seems kind of assanine, except it's a fortress city at the Ohio/MIississippi junction, so extreme flood controls is probably mandatory. It's not like they can just divert the river around the city if need be and the ability to ship supplies in and out in all three directions is real important.
Someone throw me a bone here, what do?

Why? The River Fleet runs underneath London.
What's the most uncomfortable situation you've had to deal with at the table?

Red Alert 3 build:
The Empire of the Rising Sun
Beijing, China
Civilian 50
Comic Relief 150
Non-Combatant
Analysis 250
Dissent 400
Propaganda 700
Supreme Commander 1000
Peace Rally 1300
Power is Sexy 1900
Majestic Emperor Portrait
Yuriko-chan 1300
Lost the Arms Race 1000
May be wondering why I went from Quest for Glory to this one. Well the answer to that is that I feel like this run is starting to shape up as one I'm actually happy with so I'm doing all the jumps I vaguely understand and slotting them in. Never really broke 200 jumps or so before getting bored and starting a new chain.
Comic Relief I took because I had 100 CP left. Non-Combatant is good for staying safe. Analysis is a really great perk, being able to tell what is wrong with any hardware by just looking at it is a really good way of not accidentally dying when the tech level gets high and being able to actually sort shit out. Dissent, Propaganda and Peace Rally help turn the tides in a war with more or less recruits. Supreme Commander is yet another 'underlings do good' perk which I like to take. Power is Sexy is weird but funny. Should really stop taking sexy perks, keep them all switched off nearly all of the time anyway and I've dumped a lot of CP on them.
Red Alert 3 in terms of drawbacks is characterised by bombarding a Japanese teenage girl from space and quickly swapping sides. Whoever's got the superweapons, capitalism, communism, who cares (just rolled and capitalism won, good job capitalism).
So migrating to the west, doing the American dream, can't think of anything that interesting to do. Already been to a lot of wartorn versions of Earth. Maybe invent a sport with rocket toboggans or something.

So is Vivec a hermaphrodite right? Does he have both, or does he will whatever he wants into existence?
Alright, sorry for bringing up even more Skyrimfaggotry, but I've been finally playing through the main questline so a lot of questions have sprung up.
One of my biggest is about how apparently learning a word of power means bringing that power into yourself. So learning Dragonrend, with all its anger and hate poured into it, would bring that anger and hate into you. How can that be? What does the thu'um change?
What do you think about this series?
Was Japan right in slaugghtering thousands of imperial soldiers that were forced to fight? To massacre people without giving them the possibility of surrender?
What would your country do If the portal opened in it?

Too-tired-to-think-of-a-decent-name Edition
You know, one thing I would think would be interesting is hearing about some of the names you give the Corps outside the big ten. ... I wonder if there is a literal Acme corporation in the Shadowrun universe?
My question from the last thread just before it got saged:
>Looking for advice on building a Street Scum Street Sam for a buddy that hasn't played any non-computer based RPG's before (and I'm pretty new to shadowrun myself). Creation rules are Sum to 7, no A priority, max 10 availability. He's planning on taking some stealth/infil abilities and being more agility based than tanky. Any help would be appreciated
>>46119865
I think the focus is far too much on the big ten. Really, I'd even argue having something like the big ten just makes all the AAs and such seem inconsequential.
You are Captain Kusajishi Riku, and you had hoped this wouldn't become an ongoing annoyance. You had hoped that Renji and his sword could be mature and accommodating, that they could be reasoned with. To be certain these were “hopes” and not “expectations”, and as it turns out your expectations were much closer to reality than your hopes.
They haven't been mature about it, they're not being accommodating, and it's absolutely become an ongoing annoyance.
“You know we could go kick that Muramasa guy's ass right now,” Monkey observes off-hand, still carrying a facsimile of their released blade. “All you have to do is take the damned sword.”
“I refuse,” you grumble, exhausted at the hours-long stalemate. They've been following you all night as you've tried to deal with the disorder following Muramasa's rebellion, like two little lost children hovering around to watch your every action.
The Lieutenant is still following you as well, a few paces behind his manifested sword.
“Captain!” he protests. “Kindly give me back my sword!”
“I can't give you what I haven't taken,” you grumble, repeating the message for the fifth time since he met you along the way back to your Division's barracks. “If you wanna complain go find Muramasa and complain to him. Save me the trouble.”
While you're standing in line for breakfast, many in the room stare blankly at Zabimaru and Renji as they take their own trays and get into line behind you, still arguing all the while. They may be doing so at a lower volume and intensity now, but you're still struggling to believe how tenacious Zabimaru's been in their attempts to win you over.
>1/3
>>46119035
You take a tray of eggs, what must be two dozen or so of them scrambled up.
“You wouldn't have to eat that much if you'd just get back in the sword where you belong,” Renji raises an eyebrow as Monkey and Snake each help themselves to double-servings of porridge and sausage.
A loaf of toasted and buttered bread on a second tray balances on your forearm.
“Oh, you're still here?” Snake pretends to notice Renji for the first time before turning his back on his former wielder. “Go away, you're bothering me.”
You have one of the chefs start piling bacon on top of the eggs. The man looks at you as he forks three or four strips at a time, as if expecting you to tell him when to stop. You don't do so until you have thirty strips or so, causing the line behind you to start backing up before you give him an “okay” gesture with your free hand.
“You heard the kid,” Monkey agrees in the meantime. “We're through with you, so quit wasting your breath.”
A pot of coffee sits unattended near the end of the line. You take it and try to find a place to sit down.
Ichigo and Tatsuki are sitting at a table and talking quietly, with a little space between them. Most of the shinigami in the room are giving them a wide berth, but you see no reason to do the same. You seat yourself between the two young humans in a clattering of trays.
“Did a farmer owe you money or something?” Ichigo asks.
You leer at him menacingly, in a combination of misplaced frustration and exhaustion. “You what now?”
“Nothing,” Ichigo replies warily. “Forget I said anything.”
When Renji and his sword spirits sit across from you, it takes Ichigo a moment to process the scene. “Ah, Renji! I didn't know you were in Riku's Division.”
“I'm not,” Renji replies through his toast.
“And isn't that Zabimaru?”
“It is,” Renji grunts.
>2/3
>>46119113
“You're Ichigo, I remember you,” Monkey nods, leaning across the table and lowering her voice. “Hey kid, you wanna...”
“Nope,” you interrupt. “Ichigo's not wielding you either.”
“How could you even consider that!?” Renji demands.
“He's stronger than you are,” Snake observes casually. “Your fault for being so pathetic, Renji.”
“What was that? How dare you mouth off...”
“ENOUGH!” you roar, slamming your fists on the table. At the sound of your voice the entire mess hall falls silent, and Renji and Ichigo jump in alarm. “I am eating right now. So until I finish my meal, kindly piss. OFF.”
“So those things that attacked the Division headquarters yesterday were zanpakuto?” Ichigo concludes after Renji and his swords stomp off in opposite directions. “What ARE you gonna do about those three?”
“Until Yoruichi gets back to me with the results of her archival search, nothing,” you admit, finishing off your first pot of coffee with a slurp. “The last thing I'd want is to accidentally deprive Renji of his better half.”
“So what should we do?” Tatsuki asks, looking around at the unusually empty dining hall. “Seems like a lot of your Division are out of the fight for now. Are the other Divisions this badly off?”
In fact, they're mostly worse. The Ninth's individual fireteams fared better on average than other units, and the fact that your squads not only have field medics but a permanent aid station on the Division's grounds means that even the wounded will be back in the fight soon enough.
>You and your friends need to go home. Especially you, Ichigo: you need to recover and train.
>Ichigo's Bankai could be of great help, but the rest of you don't need to be put in harm's way.

Last night was rough, not just because of yesterday’s loss to Kursk, but also because the tent was too cramped. You need to figure out a new solution for that, otherwise you’re going to keep waking up with Stack and Winona clutching your tits like they were hug pillows, Ingrid drooling on your thighs, and Josephina waking up with a cricked back because she can’t all fit in at once.
At least the dejected spirits of yesterday seem to be gone. The fairground for spectating the battle was still here because there was still one more match to play against Kursk today. And currently, you were busy standing at the side, watching Winona, Stack, and Ingrid use water guns to snipe targets at a booth. You might as well get your fun out of the way before it gets crowded.
“Ha!” Winona pumps her fist at a successful snipe. “I win!” Stack and Ingrid sigh, leaning back and looking over at Winona. “Take that you goons! What did I win!?”
The booth manager holds up a keychain with a little cartoon Panzer IV hanging off of it. “Here you go,” he says. Winona lets it drop in her hand, surprised at how tiny her prize is. “Next!”
The five of you start walking along while Winona lets the toy Panzer IV dangle as she holds it. “Cheer up,” says Stack. “Ya got a prize! And hey, Panzer IVs aren’t all that bad of a tank, I declare. Y’all should be thankful ya get anything at all, yeah?”
[1/2]
>>46116943
[2/2]
“Mmmm…” Winona squints, unsatisfied with it. You sigh. Griselda should right now be lecturing the other crews on their mistakes yesterday while you’re here. Maybe you should keep on with it. You turn around, then find your crew has completely abandoned you. What the fuck.
You quickly double back and find them awestruck by what must be the biggest Bandaged Bear you have ever seen. It was half of Josephina’s size. He had his right arm in a cast and sling. His left eye was covered up by an eye patch. And his ears were chewed up. But he still bore an eternal smile and a very charmingly fluffy body.
Reminds you of your bear, Cody. Too bad he bit the dust when you took him out that one day and the neighbor’s dog tore him to pieces. Saddest day of your life.
“I want it,” says Winona quietly. “How do I win that?”
The booth manager points to a stack of bottles. “Knock all the bottles down with one ball.”
Stack grins, nudging Ingrid. “This is your kind of sport, eh?” Ingrid elbows Stack in return, shutting her up.
Winona pulls out a twenty. “Give me five balls!”
