Pitch a plothook for a WHFRP game.

I'll start.

The PCs were arrested for various reasons (let them decide) and have been temporarily conscripted into the city sewer jacks to work off their sentence shoveling shit. Unfortunately, there are worse things causing the sewers to back up just recently than a plug of faeces.

They didn't introduce horde size units, they gave people rules to use their giant blocks of goblins and clanrats. The mechanics just sucked ass and worked for elite troops.

I had this idea of making a really complex and integrated story about Imperial factions after a major crusade. Considering the size of the galaxy a crusade must require thousands of regiments and hundreds of Chapters to conduct. Which also leaves them with spoils of war in the end. I could have just populate the whole thing from my drafts but I figured it would be more fun and challenging to fill the factions with anon made ones. So here we are.

-I store all contributions and work them into the story one way or another, so don't hesitate to contribute.
-No Orks no ork related anything, I'm writing Orks right now and I'm fed with it. No zoggin Orkz, ya 'ear!
-Try to make the factions as unique as possible(it's YOUR faction after all). Theme, military focus and characterization is what makes a faction alive most of the time.
Here is an example from an official chapter. Black Templars are gothic space knights(theme), they use close combat whenever possible(military), special characters in the codex(charz)
-If you submitted in a previous thread know that its been kept safe.
-Post the HTML codes of your colors if you want an accurate representation, otherwise I pick the colors using gimp which might not be exact.
-Creator names for the factions cannot be changed after the first initialization, if you want to be added as a creator to an already made faction you need to contribute newer fluff almost as much as the OC. Even if the OC is credited as anon you can only be credited beside him. This is done to prevent miscrediting.

The din of the Salt Pit died as the crowds left the stands and the gamblers collected their bounties. The Wyrd Hunt had bested the Twin Daggers and their victory had garnered Bloom his spoils. On any other day winning 800 zeny would feel great, but his spirits weren't high at all. Instead of happiness he could only feel empty; drained; like whatever was left of Nerotan before Fleur consumed her. He stuffed the cash in his pocket and meekly headed back to the Furiosa.

Back on the Furiosa, Bloom dropped off his belongings and headed for the galley. He had told Quaz his interest in alquemy and his hesitation to start just yet. Either as sage advice or a practical joke, he was directed toward cooking. It seemed to make sense. How could you cook a potion if you couldn't cook a simple meal? He stopped pondering the merits of his training and went to work. His progress was slow. The images of the Twin Dagger fight still haunted him. "Is that the pat-life laid out for me now?" he wondered out loud. Being sired into a Midian had greatly bolstered his abilities, yet the verbal tick had remained. He ignored his foible and let the images come back to his mind: Livia declaring the round lethal without hesitation, Nerochan's arrogance, Fleur jumping in to help and death match that ensued. The dexterous feats and skilled both sides had shown awed the young mage. His awe turned to anxiety soon as Livia fell and Kaz was bleeding out. Fleur was then alone and the Twin Daggers were ready to neatly prepare for their next meal. That's when it happened. Calling forth some mysterious power Kaz had summoned a ghost. It was over quickly. The Twin Daggers were no more and the Salt Pit erupted into a cacophony of screams. That fight was over but apparently Kaz wasn't finished. It seem he had made a deal with the ghost and it was collecting its end immediately.

To start some discussion, albeit discussion we've already had quite a few times, last thread someone called getting Sorcery a no-brainer for any PC. How true is that in /exg/'s experience? Last game I was in, only one character was a sorcerer, and the other PCs didn't really feel like they were missing out. Sorcery's obviously useful and very versatile, but in my experience and opinion it's not something you'd be a fool to not take.

Only one character has sorcery in my group too. There was some mild interest in having them teach another character, but it didn't really go anywhere.

If I make another character (which is unlikely, having taken Adamant Skin Technique) then I might dabble.

I'm starting with 3 occult and it would be very easy to take sorcery, especially with everything being free and packaged with your control spell. But I have no intention of getting sorcery because it doesn't fit my character, even if it'll be very useful.
Usually I have low standards for what it'd take to be more effective.

Couple questions:
What transport are the Tacts taking? I'm assuming Pods

Are the Centurions catching a ride in the Raven?

If so, I feel that's your weak point the Cents are a big danger and if bad reserves go, you might end up without nearly 500pts (plus the 350pts of Tacts if you are going pods)

But still a good, if generic, list

Hideous people who were exposed to fell magic while still in the womb. Comes in two varieties: Hulks, which are big Frankenstein-looking motherfuckers, and Runts, which are tiny Igor-looking motherfuckers. Directly updated from Ravenloft.

>Dhampirs
Half-human, half-vampire, usually created as a result of a pregnant woman being attacked by a vampire but surviving the encounter, rather than sex. Though that's possible. Comes in three varieties; Dread, Noble, and Feral. Based off of some homebrew I found online, but toned down significantly from said homebrew.

There's also variant rules for Dhampirs still being able to turn people in vampire spawn (which the dampirs don't control and who proabbly won't be happy), as well as dhampirs becoming vampires by 9th level.

Half-gypsies who are basically the half-elves of the setting, but Wisdom-based rather than Charisma-based. Also get a lesser Evil Eye.

>Human
Mostly there for explaining patronymics. Directly copied from standard D&D

>Shifters
Imported from Eberron, but I think they actually fit the setting. Directly lifted from the Unearthed Arcana.

Also includes variant rules whereby they still carry the lycanthropy curse and can become full lycanthropes by level 9.

>Tieflings
More in line with the original Planescape version in that they look basically human but with a random number of devilish traits. Also includes the variant traits from SCAG.

Presenting the Dread Prince, a Harbinger archetype themed on fear designed to fill a party defender role in the vein of the 4e Swordmage. Made some tweaks to bring him more in line with other initiators that have a climbing resource of some kind (Crimson Countess, Knight Chandler, etc).

Looking for feedback. I'd like Terror to be a bit more involved, but having trouble thinking of neat tricks to offer as it grows, and also where to insert them (I don't want to ruin mobility options by replacing Grim News, and I don't want to screw up attack math by stripping out Accursed Will)
