Are the beliccosa that much stronger than everything else ?
With Towering Monstrocity and a good deployment these things are neigh unsinkable based on my experiences facing off against one 3 times over the past few months..
They take WAY more effort and resources then their costs and few people have the reliable models to deploy forces capable of stopping them. The side with it simply needs to be smart enough to kill the few heavy threats against it in the first few turns and it will grind other superheavies, and then the enemies armies, to dust over the 5-6 turns its alive.
In the world of OP that is 40k Apoc this guy really stands above the rest.

Warlord Titans when
I'm planning on running a Dragon Age game using the Green Ronin rules (just got that sexy corebook that combines all the playsets) but I'm still debating on when to set it. I've narrowed it down to two choices. Either during the Blessed Age during the Orlesian occupation of Ferelden, letting players be either mercenaries working for the occupiers or supporters of the resistance (or neither or both, I'm aiming for sandbox here). Or, just do run it parallel to the Fifth Blight and let the characters run through the timeline set during the games.
Anyone here ever run the game before? What was your experience? If you were going to run / play in one of those two choices which would you go with?
>>46184370
I haven't, but I think it'd be easier to run it around the time of the games, possibly in countries outside of Ferelden, since you have more details about what the world is like at the time. I know jack all about the Blessed Age, and you'd most likely be building up the world state from scratch. Which could be cool, if you wanted more of a blank slate.
>>46184719
Well about the only thing I 'know' about that age is the Orlesian occupation and I have a rough timeline of how it played out from the Dragon Age wiki and I'd base the tone of it off the dialogue you have with Loghain during the game (basically that the Orlesian nobility were oppressive dicks) and do a sort of Braveheart campaign where the players either help try and crush the resistance and get made rich even as they watch the increasingly depraved and exploitative nature of the occupiers, or help play a role in overthrowing and expelling the Orlesians.
>>46184370
>>46184792
I'd play it. Admittedly, I loved DA:O and anything set in that world would be fantastic.
Alright you gamefags, I want to see you all design a town. Here's the setup, the town is set in a low fantasy semi medieval setting where magic is very weak in this part of the world.
Say what you want in this, whatever you want, and it's in. But here's the catch, it can't contradict with anything previously placed into the town.
>>46183130
A guy from across the ocean brought a magic generator (it generates magic) with him and set it up in the house marked blue. He's using it to slowly raise the level of magic in this part of the world.
Holy shit someone get to the bridge and crank it up before the boats crash.
>>46183192
>Low fantasy
>Magic generator
Someone isn't very good at this.
>GM just makes assumptions about your character and starts telling you what your character would and wouldn't do
Hey OP, could you tell me the names of the other players in your group, and post your character sheet?
I mean, you DO have a group, right?
As a GM, this is something I have a problem with doing. I try and add flourish to my narration and end up taking agency away from characters. Granted, it's not an amazing amount, and never in combat or in crucial conversations with NPC's, but the small things like reacting to other players actions etc.
>>46183127
I attack the king.
Before being interned on the Golden Throne did the Emperor ever poop?
>>46182557
Probably. He still does. Psykout grenades and iirc psycannon bolts are made from the "metabolic byproducts of the golden throne"
>>46182557
Probably not, he's most certainly above Humanity in terms of biology and likely had an in-depth understanding of ascendant Biomancy. I doubt he needed to eat.
>>46182557
its called warpstorms
Do you play background music during your role playing sessions? If so, what are some of your favorites? I'm looking for some ideas to use while playing with my group.
>>46182530
I had a complete tavern and adventure music soundcloud once, contained everything from background sounds to boss battle music
Twas pretty great no lie
Idk where it went to tho
I'm using roll20/teamspeak for my current online game right now.
I've picked out music, entire background tracks and multiple too, but I've either forgotten to use it or found it annoying considering volume levels so far.
The only way I could see it working for me is if I bothered to get a playlist of songs/background tracks I can put on repeat, an actual stereo and a quiet house to have it.
Even then, it would be too hard to switch to specific tracks without interrupting the flow.
>>46182530
I haven't had good experiences with music at sessions so far (not that it's happened many times)
That said I've been wanting to play a lycanthrope for a while now just so I can see how long it takes the group to notice the theme behind a constant stream of "Hungry like the Wolf", "Who Let the dogs out?", "Werewolves of London", etc.
How American is your character /tg/?
Well I traded a bunch of bombs to some goblins in exchange for a hostage and then immediatly slaughtered all of them afterward. So to answer you question, pretty fuckin American.
I have been to multiple realms outside of my home realm to fight evil cults and monsters for no reason other than I think it is the right thing to do. Along the way I have fucked up a good deal of real estate and caused a lot of economic strife because of frequent misunderstandings with my character and local lords, ladies, and law enforcement.
Paladins = Murrica.
He's a gay French fighting for brotherhood, liberty, and prosperity. So not very.
Would you go beyond this point?
>>46182242
>Experienced divers have died here
Who'd pass up loot like that?
>>46182242
>>46182293
Are we talking "experienced" as in levels 2-5, or levels 15-20?
Do you think they'd drop SCUBA Tanks+3 and High-Quality Neoprene rares?
>>46182242
Is that one diver giving a us thumbs up while another blows him?
Heya /tg/! I frequent these boards but I'm not sure if this would fit here. Is it possible to have a League of Legends lore/art thread? Is there enough interest, and is it against the rules or not?
I guess this isn't against the rules, since there is an elder scrolls general here too, and not on /v/.
For those interested, what is your opinion on the new WIP lore for faggy draggy? (Used to make universes n shit, but then space beans came and enslaved him)
Bumping this up with league art
>>46182515
Fuck off.
I finally played through Bloodborne and now i feel like the setting would be awesome to run a campaign in.
Thing is, I have no idea what system would be good to use for it. My first idea was some incarnation of DnD but the guns and massive weapons quickly shot that idea down. And since i usually play more Sci-Fi thena fantasy don't really know of any other Fantasy games that would fit. My hope is that you guys can point me to a system that i can use tor un it in. I don't mid a bit of houseruling/refluffing but i don't want to have to rewrite half the rules just to make a system work with the setting
TL;DR: Want to run Bloodborne campaign. What system fits best?
>>46181925
>bloodborne themed game
Congrats on being unoriginal.
Anyways, I would run No-caster pathfinder with cheaper guns, armor as DR, wounds/vitality system, and let players use syringes on fallen beasts to generate tiny health potions they can use on themselves as a swift action.
The problem with bb is that everyone has more or less the same fighting style.
>>46181925
>What system fits best?
It's called Video Game RPG Of The Month (VGRPGOTM), you can find it on every rpg-related site, every month a new splatbook comes out.
>>46182208
Yeah i'm original as nobs.
I'm not really too convinced about pathfinder but if that's the closest i guess it'll do
Show me your bbeg's/your character's final form.

How do you guys create original races for your settings?
No matter how much I try, every time I try to create an original race to my setting I end stuck with "not elves" "not dwarves" etc, I don't seem to be able to come with something actually original.
And its not that I try to copy them, is that I have what I think is an interesting idea and when I finish I look at them and think "damn it! this is just elves with horns".
May be its just I lack imagination but would like if you gave me some tips or explain me the process you guys use to create original races.
Some examples if you will to share would be nice too.
Kind of? I made these guys as a mascot race for a lighthearted adventure game and my players fell in love with them.
They have no depth, backstory, or real purpose but they're cute and keep the atmosphere pretty cheery. I have a bad habit of coming up with ideas for races and never bothering to fluff them out. Might share more if the thread survives.
Also I like these threads so here's a resurrection.
>>46182316
>They have no depth, backstory, or real purpose but they're cute and keep the atmosphere pretty cheery
Sometimes thats the best things, some things are better without background or a deep lore, just are they way it are
>>46182316
Those are pretty cute.
Are they some sort of plant people? If so, is that a helmet or a pot?
>>46181249
sometimes simple is better. I pretty much take elves, dwarves and stuff and add a couple of interesting twists and quirks.

OP last updated on March 22nd, 2016.
Updated the OP to incorporate the other Anon’s suggestions and points. I didn’t see much point in showing it until it was time for a new thread.
Changes and notes:
Strange Assembly removed.
Added the videocasts with the links that Anon provided. Much appreciated, kind stranger.
>>Ono-sendai might be dead, but after anon asked about it the last time I added back the link to its Github in case anybody wanted to build it for himself, or start a new one.
Github for Ono-sendai readded.
>>Nobody actually uses it. It got better but netrunnerdb, acoo and meteor are still better. But cardgamedb is actually the "official" deckbuilder with FFG behind it to support it, so I always left it there, even if it's only symbolic.
Good point. Cardgamedb put at the bottom of the list and marked not recommended.
>>Some anons were dead set on using Little Chiba back when the list was created.
Hm...this is tricky. I’ll leave it off for now, if anyone uses it and specifically asks for it to go back in the OP, then let’s add it.
>>Willingdone channel seems to be active in reddit. He posted a Kala Goda review a month ago. But seems like he's making Doomtown reviews too.
Good to know, just saw his stuff on Business First too. Left Willingdone alone.
OP too long by about 300 characters, split into two posts at Videocasts.
Part of me doesn’t want to add dead things unless it’s supported by FFG (cough, cardgamedb) or someone specifically asks for it to go onto the OP. I’ll leave Corp Draw off for now.

>and before
Tough to say, given that's the entire card pool, but looking at San San, nothing's really standing out except Tech Trader making Geist lodsofemone,
MCC might be a good Worlds Plaza candidate in a glacier deck - have the usual "scoring" server have Worlds with MCC and some other stuff - maybe Capital Investors? - and just score on a turn.
Oh, and Net Chips + Collective Conciousness + Faust being scary as fuck, for new cards making old cards good
What are fun ways to roleplay a sorcerer?
>an awkward geek who believes they can cast magic, but actually can
"If you cross me, the Ice Dragon Lord Hazealphon, who has the blood of both an angel and a dragon coursing through his veins, I will curse you with the bitter cold of a million winters!"
*casts ray of frost*
>the inadvertant sorcerer who subconsciously casts spells when in dangerous situations, and otherwise has extreme trouble controlling it
"I keep telling you, I'm no wizard! I can't just will myself to fly or read people's minds or anything like that, and I don't even know how I wound up casting that fireball! It just happened when I thought the goblins were about to surround us!"
>the gluttonous chocolatier who eats fancy chocolates instead of using material components
"Oh, how marvellous! How exquisite! This apricot cream filling, enrobed in bitter black chocolate, is absolutely divine! It's precisely what I needed to inspire me to KILL YOU ALL."
>the aspiring knight with very little talent for swordplay but great talent with magic, with an intelligent sword as their familiar that constantly berates them for relying on spells instead of using it.

>What are fun ways to roleplay a sorcerer?
the straight-man
hear me out on this!
In most fantasy RPG's sorcerrors are distinguished by not having to study magic to use it, they were born with the innate ability to cast spells.
So it stands to reason that perhaps prior to their abilities manifesting, the sorcerer might have lead a largely normal and mundane life up until that point.
so consider someone growing up in some out-of-the-way corner of the kingdom who has little understanding of magic and never put much stock in magic or wizards, suddenly finding that he can suddenly cast spells and other "voodoo shit" whether he/she likes it or not.
There are all kinds of things to do that are interesting, and I guess a lot of them vary by your inhuman bloodline. Whatever your bloodline is, though, one thing I like to do is have the inhuman ancestor be not all that far back-- like, close enough that the sorcerer probably knows them personally. And they just don't get it when other people find that weird.
>Dragonslaying? Well, I guess. I mean, that seems kind of weird-- what if it was Great-Grampa Inferniax, you know? What if it was one of his clutchmates, or a friend? I'm just not sure I'm comfortable with this.
>Steve, it's a dragon. It's a goddamn red dragon, it's terrorizing three villages and it burnt a fourth to the ground.
>Alright, alright, fine. Can we at least try talking to him first?
>Goddamn it, Steve...
