If Khorne cares not from where the blood flows, only that it does, why don't his followers genetically engineer some kind of large creature to be as full of blood as possible and to grow up as quickly as possible? It takes almost two decades for a human to reach maximum size and thus have the most blood possible. It takes a cow a few years and it has more blood, and cows aren't even the most blood-efficient animal you could engineer!
>>46364628
Because Khorne only wants blood that is spilt through war. And either way, engineering a giant blood machine is cheating.
You DO NOT want to cheat the chaos god of war.
>>46364628
>trying to min/max blood logistics
>probably going to end up making some kind of looping combo that causes bleeding to generate even more bleeding

You are Urist Twelfthbay, and you are a short, sturdy creature fond of drink and industry. As the moe personification of Dwarf Fortress, you're pretty damn confident in your architectural skills.
Sure, you've got glitches coming out the wazoo, and your approach to physics is best described in terms of body counts and one of those "X Days Since Our Last Gruesome Accident" signs, but you think you've managed to work around that shit. Hell, you could even say that you've made those glitches your own, incorporating them into your building style.
That being said, there are things even you'd be hesitant to build. It's not a LONG list by any stretch of the imagination- mermaid capturing/breeding/harvesting chambers are right up on the top- but it /does/ include the vast majority of buildings emblematic of Gamindustri's twisted universe. By that, you mean stuff that exists just to capture the extremely Japanese essence of cute girls doing titillating things, occasionally to each other, as if your universe was designed by lonely dumbasses with nothing better to do.
Stuff like a goddamned hot springs resort, smack-dab in the middle of your wide-open monster-spawning first cavern-layer.
"Aww, c'mon, Urist!" Neptune whines. "You can't pass up this opportunity! Just look at this place! It's like it was made expressly for this purpose!" The goddess of Planeptune, soaking wet from head to toe, points at your underground lake. It's all but rubbing shoulders with a magma pool, heating the water to a comfortable boil.

Should I go back and read all 70 previous quests or just tough it out and Ty to figure it out as I go along?
>>46361937
You grind your teeth before growling right back at her, crossing your arms over your chest. Seriously, no means no. You've got, like, a trillion goddamn things to worry about, all of which take precedence over building a tourist attraction.
"Eeeeeh? No way! We're at a lull in the plot, aren't we?" Neptune huffs, and straightens up with DETERMINATION. "Fine! If you won't listen to me, then I'll go talk to Blanc! I'm sure she'll come down to convince you, 'cause nobody can stand up to the one-two punch of Nintendo AND Sega!"
And just like that, Neptune's running back toward the fort.
"A-Ah, oneechan, wait-"
Before you can stop her, Nepgear throws you an apologetic look before immediately dashing off after her older sister, maybe hoping to calm Neptune down or talk some sense into her.
Godspeed, girl. Less than a day old, and she's already being worked to the bone.
You're about to get back to work planning your well when something occurs to you. Turning on Therapist, you work past the hyperdimensional void's ever-present interference, scanning the list of names for one in particular. Thravar and Tiff are outside, Mojang's over by the stockpiles, Blanc is meandering through the fortress proper, Shovel Knight's still sleeping, and...
Your eyebrow twitches. Good news is, you found Doomgirl. Bad news is, she's absolutely fucking insane. With a curse, you ring her up immediately, sending her a telepathic message.
>What the hell are you doing in the /sealed/ second cavern layer!?
"I smell demons," Doomgirl growls right back. No preambles, no excuses, no nothing; in your mind's eye, you can /see/ her twitching in paranoid wariness, whatever firearm she's got primed and at the ready. "They're right under us. How can you not feel 'em, just waiting to be harvested?"
(Cont.)
>>46362066
>That doesn't answer your question, dammit!
"I'm taking the fight to them! That's the only way to win! Hold on a sec." Strangely enough, as you hear her murder some sort of underground cave monster, she... sounds the happiest you've ever heard her, like all this suicidal danger's taking a weight off her shoulders. "Don't worry about me. I've got this covered. Who's the man? I'm the man! Shut up, no one asked you-"
You leave Doomgirl to her insane mutterings. Well, that answers THAT question. You don't know how she got down there, but at least you know for sure now: for better or worse, you've got one or more adamantine veins underneath your fort.
With one of your allies hellbent on digging up all the Hidden Fun Stuff that lies underneath the adamantine, you're leaning toward "worse."
>CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
[ ] [LEAVE HER] Fine. You'll leave Doomgirl down there, and she can act as a one-woman guard squad watching over the second cavern layer. She can't get down to Hell, anyway.
[ ] [CONNECT CAVERNS] ... you know what? Fine. You'll knock open both caverns to connect 'em. This'll give Doomgirl more room to play, and she can watch over BOTH caverns. That way, you'll both be happy.
[ ] [HELL NO] Go down there and drag Doomgirl back up. Sure, she's volatile and crazy, but you need all the help you can get up in the /real/ world. Void. Whatever.
[ ] [WRITE-IN]
How do you write a BBEG that is a young kid(boy or girl, doesn't matter), and not make it complete shit?
>>46361555
You can't because kids are incompetent faggots. A competent BBEG kid would just be some faggoty super intelligent Mary Sue.
It's already hard enough to build a good BBEG who is an affluent adult. How the fuck can you possibly make it better by making it an affluent, or even worse, poor kid?
Would it be considered cheating if BBEG shifted his mind into a young body? Say by force and the original kid can still see and hear and feel everything but has no control?
>BBEG
Why. You sound retarded. Just say "villain" like people do.
So /tg/, last Sunday I had my weekly game, and I had this plot twist where 3 of 4 players would be sent to an alternate reality where the BBEG (an archdemon lord) would have already conquered and corrupted the world. Part of it was to see what would have happened to the remaining PC (a female human cleric) in said reality, if she had been the only one who fought the demon, since the other 3 don't care too much for her idea of always doing good.
I have a few ideas, and originally I was going to show her as a giant worm/caterpillar witha human head, mostly insane. But I thought that was too much, so after I saw an image (anime chick with huge tits and vacant expresion) in /v/ I went with it, since it was really creepy without going too far. But things got all fucked up.
My players didn't thought it was as bad as I imagined they would, and not only that but the cleric player wants to keep her PC as it was in the alternate reality. They even want to switch the whole game to this setting.
So, what should I do, /tg/? Does this mean my original story was so boring they would rather go with something just fucking dystopian?
>>46361021
>huge tits
Give the cleric a bigger set.
>But I thought that was too much, so after I saw an image (anime chick with huge tits and vacant expresion) in /v/ I went with it, since it was really creepy without going too far. But things got all fucked up.

It appears you've managed to stumble upon your players' magical realm
Sooo, after skimming for a while i just found out this game. Is there's any good of it? Are there any of some module/expansion/fanon rules to make games interesting?
Since it only requires small amount of army and seems have little amount of bulshit in it, im thinking to give this game a try.
>>46360868
ZM is underrated as hell. For all the morons trying to do HoR or play older editions of 40k or switching to 30k, I bet 99% of them haven't even played ZM.
The only reason I don't main ZM is because it's so unseen. It's popular, but nobody plays it. You also need a decent amount of walls to make a proper board.
I'm pissed they removed void defense crewmembers. I guess since it's 6E and 7E you're supposed to ally in guardsmen instead of having your chapter serfs fight for you.
They also need to release at least an artwork of the Fire Wasp if not a proper model.
Haven't seen anyone mention it around here, and I wouldn't know how to pitch playing it since I doubt many would make an effort to get the terrain.
Greetings anons of /tg/. Have any of you taken a stab at designing your own game? Are you currently working on one? What would you like to see from new games in the industry?
I'm currently working on a dungeon exploration / hack-and-slash board game with a Stamina system for bonus actions (you still your movement and standard action on your turn, but having extra Stamina lets you move further, make extra attacks, attempt to dodge or parry, etc). I'm also throwing out Vancian magic and replacing it with a pool of dice for mana: the more dice you spend to cast that fireball, the more dice you get to roll for damage.
Bump?
I guess I'll dump some maps in the off chance someone actually replies.
Anyone got advice on making a minimalist system like >>46356377 describes?
I find the idea intriguing.
Pic unrelated but my group is trying to find dnd miniatures anybody please help.
Did you try looking at the attic? When I can't find something it's usually stashed there.

Gg but to purchase
Choose your character.
Also does anyone have more like this? I'm thinking about running a oneshot based on one of these. Not sure how my players would react, though.

I don't have any more, but I would play the shit out of a game like this.

Samson, his family, and his friend's family have successfully fled to Noba. Marion's warrior spirit reignited by the sight of her son fighting, she has elected to see to it that his training in magic is increased in frequency during their stay in Alder. Lazare is too "fascinated" with this new way of living to object, and Samson himself doesn't feel like pissing her off after watching her badmouth the king of the land she's seeking refuge in to his face.
After a brief bandit-slaying interlude, overlapping with the meeting and saving of some Holmstead refugees, Sir Dyrus is even more motivated to repel the invading Gerxel. This king Augustus... Fighting by his side is truly invigorating.
Examining her Steel Bow idly, Rene sits on her father's flagship, passing the time with her sister as they prepare for the invasion themselves. The benefits of owning Holmstead for the Empire at large, working alongside her sister, father, and dear friend for its sake... Sure, the Wyrmite smugglers' success is concerning, but no one in her father's fleet rides a wyvern as it is anyway.
Samson might be preoccupied and out of the way for a little while, but the son and daughter of the resistance and empire will soon find themselves on the same battlefield.

"Guys" You say. "Guys please"
Ilica turns and licks your cheek, then panics as the cart hits a bump and swats your head.
"What do we do?" Emi asks. "Can we get all the way to Contique with her like this?"
"We can be there by nightfall if I push this thing" Derrick says. "Can you guys manage?"
You hold out a hand to stop her from hitting you, and it gets bitten.
"Ow" You say.
"Merrrrrrrrrr" Ilica replies, biting your hand again and holding onto it this time.
"Doesn't look like it" Emi says.
"Dang..." Derrick says. "If we stopped, we could load whichever box has the nip in it onto the roof. That might make things better"
"We'd have to air out the cart too, and the smell might attract some... unwanted guests" Emi says.
"Ilica stop eating my hand" You say.
Ilica grumbles and swats your face, without letting go of your hand...

HYPE
Weird thought: One of Kabuto's signature senjutsu moves is the White Rage Technique. It sends out constant pulses of chakra to blind and shock opponents, sort of a ninjutsu flashbang. In this continuity, he was probably inspired to make it by Kon's bloodline. It is more or less a bootleg version of what we can do with our Shattershots.
Sorry Laze only got round to one scene, but an hyped, if I figure out what opening we're up to may redraw one pic for it so we are up to date.
