I find its easier to break the GM then it is to break the game.

First off: fuck you you powergaming faggot.

Second: Warlock with Imp familiar is pretty good at low levels. You'll most likely dominate any scene you damn well please, as the imp is great at infiltration/scouting as well as fighting, and you got the social stuff covered yourself. And you don't run out of spells. It doesn't scale tho.

Think about what the structures were before they were dungeons.

Research the blueprints of old temples, cities, etc.

Think of how time and the elements have affected them

Think about how the various inhabitants over the years have changed, customized, destroyed, or altered them

Maybe it was an ancient temple dedicated to a water goddess, but in the five thousand years since its construction, the land has become an arid waste, and all the mechanisms that require functioning waterwheels to operate don't work, and the PCs need to find alternate means of moving various parts of a megastructure around.

add lots of encounters, add some interesting fluff you can expand into a quest, add cool traps, give the dungeon an organic feeling, and by organic i mean make it feel as though it had been around for ages and things actually happened there

Pre-primed? Either they're gonna have to put a lot of work into the mould lines, or that's going to be somewhat undone work.

I did have trouble getting paint to stick to Reaper Bones even after washing in hot soapy water. I had to do an ink wash or gesso on them before I could get paint to adhere properly. Spray primer never seems to set up 100% dry on Bones either.

Is it just me or does this CYOA give you so many points it just becomes pointless? You already have so much you can take more than half of all the options, but then it also gives you drawbacks to get even more.

It's a bit simplistic, it's really a kids game in the vein of heroscape. Quite enjoyable, and the tiles and minis are almost exactly like 'scape

Is this simplistic for a strategy board game? I never played Heroscape but I found the rules extremely vague and confusing, and often kind of arbitrary and contrived. The book it comes with doesn't explain engagement, for example, at all, despite having references to it, and I find that mechanic to be so contrived me and the guys I play it with have a hard remembering to do it just because it doesn't come naturally to me and feels like some sort of concession to melee units. But maybe people who are used to these kinds of games find it more comfortable.

I do think it's fun to play, but I find with my lack of experience with the genre that it was hard to pick up and get into. I'm still not sure we play it 100% correctly. And there's lots of holes in the rulebook because I think it assumes familiarity with Heroscape.
