Samson and his friends+family depart from safety so soon after they gain it. Though the might of three agents of Neir, a dark mage, a heavily armored swordswoman, and a privateer (he supposes privateer would be the proper term for a pirate who smuggled for the crown), bolster Marion's ragtag bunch's own, he still cannot help but think he's walking into a deathtrap over this family loyalty stuff... He can sort this out in awhile, though!

Elsewhere in Noba, its Southeastern border is crossed by Sir Dyrus and his friends, officially beginning their campaign of fending their collective way through the Coastal region to reach the deserts and merge their might with Lady Hauteclere's.

Upon their particularly-fast boat, seized from the recently-captured Alfred, Rene's friends, family, and comrades leave the recently-captured Holmstead, as well as the impending second attempt at advancement into Noba, in the capable hands of the Coastal region's forces, hurrying along to the archipelago's northernmost island for a Directors' meeting with the Emperor. She's been mostly silent and inactive since Holmstead, but is finally in the mood to socialize once again.

“Liza is right.” Ayla says, resigned. There’s a pause while she idly scans the busy tavern, thinking of what to do next. “We can’t lead an Alliance as three separate guilds. As much as I hate to admit it…”

Arcane and Divine casters, always bickering about their types of magic.

Maybe even Liches that achieved their status through wildly different means. Sure the Arcane one offends the Divine ones religion, and the Divine one sees the Arcane one as a perversion, but in the end they always make up and have freaky lich sex.

Pathfinder ACG, just what I've been wanting!

I've never played any of the other sets, but have a feeling that this will take up a good chunk of my day tomorrow. Hopefully the learning curve isn't too steep, nor the manual too thick. I've already spent a month almost learning how to play mage knight! I'm hoping this picks up and plays a little quicker.

===============

You are Prince Meirion auk Gwyrren, the only sane man in a royal family with dubious concepts of strategy, justice, taxation, and governance in general. You have made it your goal in life to keep your family on the throne and your head firmly attached to your body.

You decided to travel north towards Olstren along with your retinue and Seren auk Caunys, whose family rules lands near the border. There have been suspicious movements in the area - merchants turned away, troop deployments, rumours that Olstren wants to close the border, that sort of thing - and you decided to personally investigate. The information is recent enough that your own contacts haven't told you about it, but in this case, it's a good thing. Whatever's happening, you can put a stop to it before it becomes a serious problem.

The carriage rolls into a small town just big enough to hold the Caunys castle. After several days, your journey has come to an end.

"Your highness, now that we've arrived, I'm certain my father would be glad to meet with you," Seren says. "He should be able to tell us about anything that might have happened while we were traveling as well."

"It might be better to stay away from the castle for now," Myrddin says. "No one knows we're here. We can benefit from the element of surprise for a day or two."

"I'd rather make our presence known," Olwen says. "I'm curious to see how Olstren's forces will react at the prince's presence."

"So am I," Myrddin says. "I'd just like to be prepared first."

Welcome back, to the second installment of Mecha Space Pirate Quest.

If you weren't here last time, you are First Mate Roarke Susan Starwind (age 26 Terran years) of the Iron Kestrels, nicknamed "Dude McCool" by your Captain. You have a taste for the music of Ancient America's 1980's period and habitually eschew ranged and melee weapons in favor of an unarmed brawling style, an unusual but not ineffective choice.

Last time, you survived the ambush that crippled your pirate crew and killed two of your squadmates, Louis Raffsberger and Thelma Longgarden. You would have perished too, as your destabilized microfusion reactor decayed, but thanks to a stroke of luck and having the pluck to search for a new reactor rather than sit and wait for help, you discovered a large humanoid mech buried in a crater. Thanks to your technical acumen and plenty of spare parts cannibalized from the damaged Harpies of you and your squadmates, you managed to restore it to functionality and are now making your way back to civilization.

As an additional stroke of luck, your narrator was able to stat out your as-of-yet nameless mech and finish most of your character sheet.

Next post, plot.

First Thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/46489044/

It has been a long two weeks since you desperately repaired the mech you found and went off in search of your missing comrades, backtracing the flight data from your Harpy's HMIS (Human-Machine Interface System) to the nearest high-traffic interplanetary route that crosses the asteroid belt between Mars and the Jovian Colonies.

Fortunately for you, you were able to flag down a passing scavenger ship and barter for passage. Which is excellent, because even with all of the meal bars and juice capsules you scavenged from Louis and Thelma's Harpies you aren't sure that you wouldn't have starved to death before reaching a neutral population hub.

The scavengers that picked you up were grateful that you could point them in the direction of a battlefield they could loot, and quite willing to accept your credits in exchange for food and scrap metal to finish the repairs on your new mech, but you don't like the way Captain Ashta looks at your machine (pic related) and take to sleeping in your cockpit in case he tries something funny. As good as it feels to stretch your legs in an oxygenated environment, you're happy to finally see them off at California Station.

California Station itself resembles a series of great metal tumors protruding from the surface of a mined-out asteroid, surrounded by four residential and agricultural colonies that provide for the needs of the residents. From the outside, they look like giant metallic cylinders with sheaves of solar panels at either end.

The asteroid itself is a starship depot with massive repair and production facilities, but it requires authorization to get in. The colonies, however, generally turn a blind eye to pirates so long as they don't cause trouble. This makes it excellent neutral ground, it's far enough away from Jupiter that UJCIDF forces are rarely seen, but the asteroid itself is important enough to the Jovians that only a suicidal Captain would try to take over the asteroid and risk retaliation from a UJCIDF battlefleet. It's the closest major population hub, a common haunt of the Iron Kestrels and a handful of other pirate crews, and the most likely place for you to track down your friends. You've checked out many times, but you're not sure you'll ever really leave. After all, you got your start as a pirate here.

Yes, I made it in time for this quest.Hopefully I have better luck with naming our mech this time around.

Welcome to Sin Princess Quest!

A story of evil magical girls, monster waifus, and medieval warlords!

>Ask about the forest?

Turning from the picturesque scene in the mirror in disgust, you change the topic to that of the massive forest that surrounds the remnants of your castle.
"So, the forest, what's the deal with it?"

Your scarecrow caretaker, Strix, scratches at his matted straw beard in thought, or at least a pretty good simulation of thought. For a second you wonder if he was always a scarecrow or if there's someone's brain under his wide-brimmed hat. Wait, no, focus, he's talking.
"The forest, or as I call it, The Wyld, was once our Lord's Garden, from which he grew his Mandrake servants." The old construct gestures with his cane to your listless group of plant beings, tall and weedy and thoughtless. "Grown from his magic, they serve, as I have said. But after the War and our banishment, the magic grew and changed, unattended, and overtook the surrounding land. Perhaps it was a defensive measure, accidentally or intentionally triggered, I could not say. All that is know is that, after it grew, the Wyld took on a strangeness. Monstrous beasts stalk its foggy pathways and it seems to have no end. Still, this comes as much as a boon as a curse. The monsters are powerful and if you were to dominate and control them, they would be a powerful tool. Or become one themselves, at least, if brought to the Harvest Room, where there physical abilities could be bound to you, my Princess."

Jeeze, a lot to take in. So your magic forest hold monsters that you could train or just kill and take their parts... Looking down and flexing a clawed hand, you think to yourself that maybe you could be better. Maybe that's how you could fill the aching emptiness in your chest...
Returning your attention to your caretaker, you speak up.
"So, can we fix it?"

Onii-chan, I'll be back in about a half-hour! Glad you're doing your quest!

Pandering waifus ahoy!
>>
>>46548286
Again then hunched scarecrow hums thoughtfully, sound that still doesn't seem quite right to you, but what do you know? You're, like, only a few hours old.
"As it is now, fighting back the Wyld would be dangerous... and most likely futile. The woods grow back quickly and the beasts within will fiercely defend it. o hold the creatures and the malignant magics at bay would require very difficult, powerful spellwork... As it stands, my Princess, I do not think we have the means to do so."

Well that sucks. you didn't know much about magic, you think. Or at least, you're pretty sure you don't. This is all so confusing! You bet those stupid peasants in the "real" world don't have to deal with this stuff! Jerks...

>Explore the forest. It might be a good way to test yourself, and hey, you might find something you want!
>Explore the mirror. What could the other world be like? Filled with sights and people you've never seen before...

>Introduction:

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet."

While you not much of a Shakespeare buff, that line of dialogue keeps popping up in your head as you sit back down at your table inside "The Pao Pao Cafe" and try to think over what the hell just happened. One moment, you're talking about doing a friendly sparring session with "Tsunami Tsyako" (The girl that knocked out of last week's Real Bout final) and could even see a flash of a person behind her "Kayfabe" Pro-Wrestling gimmick... Then you tell her your name and she wants to rip your head off your neck and shit down the hole.

The fuck is with that? That's where the whole name business comes back into focus.

Your name is Katja Hartkern. You've had to deal with a lot of shit for having such a unique name, even in a relatively "Liberal" place as your hometown of Coober Pedy, Australia (Noted for supplying most of the world's gem-quality Opal and for being located in a desert so hot and arid that most of the houses there are built underground or inside of mountains)... Your skin tone didn't help either. Especially when you finally started living on your own in Adelaide before graduating High School and re-locating to Japan...

Except Tsuyako seems to know of somebody named Katja Hartkern and claimed that the two guys (Brothers for sure, now that you can see their faces clearer) and their girlfriends(?) at the table across from yours knew this "Other Katja" too. And apparently, you're disrespecting the memory of her by simply existing...?

Between this, the poltergeist you vanquished last night and that garbled phone message you might have to hire somebody to exorcise your house... Where you could go for that though? China Town? Little Korea? A Catholic Church? (Wait, scratch that last one. You're not a little boy; They wouldn't be interested.)

That's when you follow your nose and look down to see your food (A "Double-Double" Burger, a small side of curly fries you didn't order and a bottle of Coca-Cola) has magically arrived.

"The fries are on me" the waiter (A cute-looking black guy with dated, beaded dreadlocks) says with a smile. "Actually, I forgot to mention that both cafes are doing a promotion: If you're order's over-"

"-Thanks."

He shrugs at how quickly you cut off his sales pitch, but says "It should be a crime for pretty girls like you to frown like that" before heading off to check in on the blond guy's table. Well, that's considerate of him, you guess... No, wait, not "Considerate". What's a good word for a guy hitting on you, but not even knowing it? Because that what it felt like.

>A. Eat your meal, then do a few warm-ups before stepping into the squared circle with Tsuyako. Your metabolism is quick enough it wont upset your stomach.
