I just realized that the Fade from Dragon Age and the Warp are almost the same thing

But which one is worst?

I think its the fade since literally everybody goes there when they sleep and dream except the Dorfs and maybe the Qunari

Camping out is nice, good, makes you feel like a real explorer, away from civilization and from all of its rot and downfalls. Your recent experience with Reboldeux made you want to not stay close to more than a select few number of fellow human beings at the same time for quite a while.

Then again, just staying in New Royo for a couple days made up for that. Even though it's technically a village, and thus civilization, it's about as far-removed from that concept as you can get without going back to your hometown during winter. You might as well have been tiny, isolated families with nothing but what your eyes could see as the world to live in, and you couldn't see much when the weather was good, let alone when it wasn't.

After much violent shaking and slapping you think you've managed to get most bugs out of the clothes you hung out to dry. You're not optimistic enough to think you got them all, but you probably won't have any bees inside your shirt.

You put it back on and no, no bees. Thank Gaia.

Your plan was to reach Maner and then look for the marquise in order to be officially recognized as an explorer and get paid for your trouble. Possibly a bit more than the duke of Reboldeux is, although you have to wonder just what the economic situation in Maner is. The Shadow Marches have plenty of riches, but they are still untapped.

It's also a very hot place, meaning before the first day of travel was even over you took a detour to the East and reached the lake to take a dip and camp there. This put you off your path. Not that it's a big problem because there's not even a dirt road to follow, and also because you can't have lost that much time.

You also decided to head towards a house by the lake first, which Tahenohan spotted while swimming about. You have no idea who could have built it.

Are you still playing this game, /tg/? I have because I actually like the concept and the deckbuilding limitations. The recent bugs have been making it hard for me to like this though, especially the one that makes sure you only receive less than half the coins a quest promises you when you complete it.

>Bard gets charmed by a Dryad
>he starts acting kind of nutty because the Dryad told him that she absolutely needs two of the items in the party's possession
>Dryad eventually has to run
>No one trusts the bard because he's acting crazy

Fast forward 2 hours in-game

>Bard is still scheming to get the items out of the Cleric's bag of holding
>Roll a positive encounter on my random encounter table
>Pixies show up to play with the party, really like Bard's music
>Pixie casts fly on the bard and lifts him up really high
>Bard: PUT ME DOWN!
>Pixie ends concentration
>Bard rolls a nat 1 on acrobatics
>Bard is bleeding out
>Party is considering their options out loud, like stabilizing the bard and dragging him along with them (but not reviving)
>Bard rolls a 4 on a death save
>Party continues squabbling
>Announce that he's going to roll another death save
>He rolls privately and gets a nat 1 (2 more fails, is now dead)
>Party uses the Bard's own potion on him
"No effect."
>Druid casts Cure Wounds
"No effect."
>Pixies look horrified
>Bard player is laughing so hard
"Well, you aren't charmed anymore."

He wasn't even mad because it was the dumbest death ever. Good thing he was only level 3.

Hey all, need some help for my Cthulhu module I am going to run for my fiancé. Bare in mind this will be her first time ever playing a tabletop RPG.

What I have so far is she wakes up mysteriously on the Titanic early in the day of the tragedy. Just before waking up, She experiences a cryptic dream giving her some sort of guidance on what she has to do to complete the module. For the main plot, I was thinking somewhere along the lines that their is a cultist on board with an artifact that my fiancé has to retrieve for whatever reason..

I know this isn't much to go on, but perhaps it can feed your creative fires enough to help me out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

D&D 4e General. Thread starter question: What house rules do you personally prefer for 4e?

If you are GMing, remember...
1. To strongly consider giving out at least one free "tax feat," like Expertise and pre-errata Melee Training.
2. To use Monster Manual 3/Monster Vault/Monster Vault: Nentir Vale/Dark Sun Creature Catalog math. Avoid or manually update anything with Monster Manual 1 or 2 math.
3. That skill challenges have always been scene-framing devices for the GM, that players should never be overtly told that they are in a skill challenge, and that the Rules Compendium has the most up-to-date skill DCs and skill challenge rules.

If you would like assistance with character optimization, remember to tell us what the what the rest of the players are playing, what books are allowed, your starting level, the highest level you expect to reach, what free feats you receive, if anything is banned, whether or not themes are allowed, your starting equipment, and how much you dislike item-dependent builds.

If you wish to talk about settings, 4e's settings are Points of Light (the planes and the natural world's past empires are heavily detailed in various sourcebooks and magazines), 4e Forgotten Realms, 4e Eberron, 4e Dark Sun, and whatever setting you would like to bring into 4e.

How do I get into this? I've only ever played blood bowl and my blood bowl teams are Humans and Undead. Is their an online game like fumbbl?

So /tg/ what are your favorite plot hooks, BBEGs, monsters, and settings that you've blatantly lifted from other material

Mine was the whole Ninja World War from Naruto
Evil wizard takes apprentice and teaches him the greatest spell used my one of his former enemies so he can be resurrected

Gets rezzed and uses the spell to create an army of undead who have nigh unkillable bodies and all the skills and power they had in life

Made for some pretty cool moments when characters from previous campaigns showed up
