You are Sierra Beckhoff, and soon you will confront Ushologuissa’s ilk. Anatu-allatu, daughter of the wrymwrither, is aided by Nabuth’shazzar in her efforts to subvert the fiefdom and steal the San Francisco throne for herself.
You’ve seen enough of the Stygian method of government to disagree with their plans.
After extracting information from the spies she sent to keep watch on Wolfgang, you now know the heiress’s base of operations. Within Fimbria, the world between worlds that lies beyond the reflective surface of mirrors, she bides her time in the depths of a goblin warren. A warren which you once robbed of a prized treasure, acting on behalf of the city Magister.
You broke in once. You can do it again.
---
Your phone buzzes on the bed stand. Reluctantly you return to consciousness.
You’re somewhere strange, other than your room. You never leave the lights on in your room, unless you’re reading. Your eyes hurt.
The phone buzzes again.
>>46596231
Also, you’re still in your clothes, and you’re lying on somebody’s arm. You follow it back to its source, and find Wolfgang. Oh. Right. After you got Jack in the Box, you came back here. And then Wolf lied down, and you came in to say goodbye or something. You must’ve passed out like a big doofus. You gotta cut back on the chocolate shakes.
When your phone buzzes a third time, you silence its cries with a viper strike. It’s like 4 in the morning. The call is from Waldric.
You grumble meaninglessly to yourself, prop yourself up on an arm, and answer it. “What?” you croak, stretching your bony wings. You settle them carefully behind you where they’re not going to cut anyone.
Waldric comes on the other end, his voice worn-down. “They took Deletrius.”
You sit up, your blood running uncharacteristically cold.
>When did you find out?
>Who else have you called?
>You don’t just ‘take’ Crowther.
>It was Anatu, wasn’t it. She’s at the old goblin warren. We can get him back.

Age of Shitmar Orcs.
Rounded armour, little flesh exposed, very uniform.
Some not horrific models, but I don't think this will motivate many to drop fat stacks of cash on game where blowpipes kill dragons as easily as they do goblins.

You shrug, “We need to get him right in the head. That Tapirmon guy was fucking with his head for months on end, probably has all sorts of issues.”
She grunts in affirmation. “Yeah, it was kinda funny for a while. Now it’s like… half funny, half depressing.”
You raise an eyebrow, but let that comment go. “Either way, until he’s back to normal mentally, I’m not gonna pass judgement.”
Eva sighs, “He calls himself a she and think’s he’s my twin sister.” She points out. “Maybe Witchmon can help?”
It’s an idea. “You wanna give her a call? I gotta clean all this shit out of my hair.”
You toss your digivice to her, stepping into the bathroom and rinsing off, back to your old clothes thankfully. Tux was messing with your juju or something. Free spirit, out of control, store brand jeans your mum bought, wew!
You trump back down to the hall, Eva waving you off saying she’s got the call.
Elecmon and Gotsumon are having the promised talk with Jeff in low tones, Aru’s kicked her feet up on a pew, swilling from a bottle of champagne, Daisy slumped out asleep, a second bottle rolling between her dangling fingertips.
“What? We’re just helping to clean up.” The spider woman shrugs, lifting the bottle in salute, a giggle in her voice.
Casey and guardromon have slung up a temporary wall with one of those web missiles, and are talking at the back of the room, her head pricking up when she spots you.

"Can't this thing go any faster?" Ilica asks.
"Not unless you want to get out and push" Derrick replies.
"They're gaining on us" Emi says.
"Are those lizards tasty?" You ask.
Ilica's driving lessons cost the group a few hours, so it would've been impossible to reach Sherton before the gates closed. It was decided that you should all camp the night along the road, and keep going in the morning.
You all got a good night's sleep, and it was starting to look like the trip back to Sherton would be easy. Until Ilica heard Rappers...
...
No, it's Raptors... you think. Anyway, they're like big lizards that people ride. People like the ones chasing you.
The guys aren't demons, and they aren't knights. But even still, they don't look very nice, and Derrick says that it'll be bad if they catch you.
"Damnit, I can see the towers. We're so close!" Derrick shouts. "Just a little longer"
"We don't have a little longer" Ilica says.
You look out the back window. They're very close. A little closer and they'll be able to jump onto the cart. There are about 7 of them. The 3 in the back have bows and crossbows trained on the back door, while the 4 in the front close in.
The only thing stopping them from bombarding you with magic is the thin shield that Emi has up. Enough to stop most magic, not enough to stop a man on a big lizard. Unfortunately, she seems to be nearing her limit...
"Damn..." Derrick says. "Is there anything we can do?

Went 2-1 on Friday with UG clues splashing Sigarda and Odric. Overall, pretty insane cards for the clue engine, but I would have needed some removal, one or two more threats and some decent three drops. Against a mono red aggro deck in round two I could only keep blocking with Ulvenwald Mysteries unitl I got to 13 lands, because drawing 3 a turn means nothing if it's all lands.
Last game went like this:
>board is stalled, I get hit slowly beat down by two flyers
>after attacks, I play my third Briabridge Patrol
>next turn, opponent holds back a flyer since I have the creatures to flip Westvale Abbey
>During his second main phase, I sacrfice four clues
>gain four 1/1s of Ulvenwald mysteries
>Draw Odric and Rabid Bite
>EoT play Odric off Briarbridge Patrol's effect
>During my turn, sac tokens and a 2/2 to flip Abbey
>Have Ohrmendal Rabid Bite his only flying blocker
>Swing for 35 Vigilance Flying Indestructible Haste Lifelink Trample
Hey, /tg/, this'll be the first time i'll be doing one of these. Rules for this are simple. I'm going to post a fuckton of text, followed by a set of options. Sometimes there'll be more, sometimes there'll be less. Regardless, the rules for you guys are to take a choice from the options provided and roll a d100 for effectiveness. I'll only look at the first 10 comments after any options are given for rolls determined. To make your votes matter, i'm going to go with the highest voted option, followed by highest rolls. Yes, you guys are allowed to add minor details for flavor. Anyways, let's get this thing rolling.
You wake up in a pitch dark, empty, generically ambiguous room. It's kind of hard to determine where you are at the moment. In fact, it's even harder to determine who you are at the moment, as you cannot see a damn thing about you in the pure darkness. Suddenly, a flash of memory hits you.
Where are you and how did you get here?
>Ruins of your old keep. Don't know what happened.

Well, if we're starting out as an Overlord, this option would fit. I assume the reason we're having trouble remembering who we are is because of the victory celebration.

[Liren]: Thank you for the lemonade, Agent. The Client's kitchen is certainly quite well stocked, if a little tarnished.
So far the operation is going well. All we need to do is keep Mr. Wonglei alive for another 14 hours and our contract is complete, the Hong Financial Report comes out and hopefully he'll be vindicated and who-ever is interested in some department shakeup will be forced to recall their assassins.
Last night was the chaff and the shock tactics. We've amply proven they don't work on people like us. So tonight, I expect they'll try to get... sneaky.
>Another happy day in the Solstar Family
>Cameras restored, mines restocked.
>We couldn't do much for the walls or the front lawn
Maybe someone out there has what it takes to run a proper protection detail? Signing up is easy these days! We don't even run background checks because Johnson says they cost too much.
Guess I'm one Command.
>>46591255
Mr Wonglei says we shouldn't worry about the truck, the singularity indenture or the shockspace warppoint on his front lawn.
Says he kinda likes their post-modern shock vibe and feel they compliment the quiet zen nature of his gardens. I've run a few checks, and I think things have mostly stabilized! But I still wouldn't try any resonance tricks on the front porch.
It's likely to end up with a pretty bad backlash.

Almost letting the thread die edition.
How have you almost let your team mates or players die?
>>46591050
No, never, though with how most of them are acting towards my character, I'm eagerly searching for situations where I can.
>>46591050
>How have you almost let your team mates or players die?
I went after the glass eyes of a statue and collapsed the ceiling on them.
In another case, I was a bard and tried to take care of the zombies instead of healing the downed fighter. Low levels are tough but exciting.
>>46591094
Lost Mines?
I eagerly anticipate the opportunity.
Justify a world where adventurer guilds are a thing.
I mean, what sort of system would let the safety of everyone lie in the hands of powerful freelance mercenaries?
How would the rules even work? Sure, the local lord might post a job for someone to handle that annoying goblin infestation that recently sprung up in the woods near the lumber mill or whatever, but if that sort of thing is frequent enough that "adventurer" is a career path, why not just hire and train a full time military capable of handling that?
>>46591042
I imagine the obvious system would be a nation formed of inter-dependent but competing republican city-states - like renaissance Italy.
Historically mercenaries were more common there because standing troops are expensive to maintain and the major families would instead sub-contract the responsibility for warfare to large, professional mercenary companies.
Mercenary companies were a thing. Obviously, there weren't any goblin infestations to exterminate (Or where there?), but seeing a company of dudes willing to hire out to a local lord in need of muscle.
Of course, few of them were as stationary as the classic adventurer guild, but the guild concept is the logical extension of the mercenary company when applied to a universe in which wandering monsters are a thing and when humans are perfectly capable of soloing small armies at the right level.
>>46591042
>>46591187
Italian mercenaries were also notorious for being scheming assholes.
Two mercenary armies would meet in the field, then spend as long as they could constantly "repositioning for tactical advantages" for months, trying to milk it for all it was worth. They'd chase each other up and down the land to give a good show, but never actually fight.
