After Derrick told Ilica where you might be able to find what you're looking for, he gave the two of you each a portion of the group's coin, and you parted ways.
Then you and Ilica went and ate breakfast, and now you're looking around for the places Derrick mentioned.
"Are you sure we're going the right way?" You ask.
"I don't wanna hear that from you, okay?" Ilica says. "This place should be good. Derrick said we'd be able to find pretty much everything here"
"'The Sword and Board'" You say, reading out the sign. "I read that right, right?"
"Yep" Ilica says. "You can find a shop like this one in pretty much every town"
"Neat" You say.
You and Ilica head inside, and a young man raises his head to the sound of the door-bell.
"Ma! We got customers!" He shouts back.
A few seconds of heavy sounding footsteps later, a very tall woman emerges from a door in the back. Well, she's not tall... just horse... horse woman...
There's probably an actual word for that...
"Hello there young'uns, what can I getcha?" The horse-woman asks. Like Emi, she looks completely normal from the waist up. But from the waist down... horse.
"I need a thing for this" You say, holding up your mageblade. Then you point to Ilica's crossbow. "And things for that"
The woman raises an eyebrow at you. "So you want... bolts and extra blades?"
"Bolts, yes. But...

So, Endhammer big-ups Bretonnia, which I like, because Bretonnia is best faction with Literal Best Girl, the Lady of the Lake.
But the civil war and the Norscan invasions should have fucked it. And "Errantry Wars to Tilea" don't really work when all of the Knights Errant died at the battle of Altdorf. Any suggested changes from the good people of /tg/?

WHFB pretty much started fading into obscurity even before Age of Sigmar, being overshadowed by 40k, which is pretty sad because it was one of the cooler fantasy settings out there IMO. It's sad it didn't get even half the write/drawfaggotry and love/attention 40k got.
You also reminded me of my friend who bragged about painting some Knights of Morr of his several years ago, but in the end never did it.
We remember you, Sigmar, and occasionally pray to you when Ministorum isn't looking.

It's been one hundred and thirty years since global crisis prompted the mass exodus of humanity into space. The construction of space colonies allowed for most of the human population of nine billion to gradually move into artificial habitats that not only sustained themselves, but were able to return excess food to an exhausted and overburdened Earth. Dense clusters of colonies formed at the Lagrange points, and cities constructed in lunar craters like Von Braun and Anaheim became centers of heavy industry.
But in the years that followed, a reactionary right-wing regime would ride a wave of public outcry in the wake of a terrorist attack that killed the Earth Federation's then-Prime Minister. This faction would take that outrage as a mandate, enacting a series of pro-Earth laws that would severely curtail political rights among the colonists for the next eighty years.
Finally, under the banner of independence, Spacenoid politicians in the colony cluster calling itself the Duchy of Zeon made their bid. Craving autonomy, most of the citizens of Zeon blindly supported the war without questioning too deeply the true motives and ambitions of the ruling Zabi family.
It was a man-made disaster on an unrivaled scale.
Three billion lives were lost in the first week alone, mostly civilians whose precarious homes among the stars were caught in the crossfire. By treaty the use of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons was prohibited: not because there was any love to be lost between Zeon and Federation, but because failing to do so practically guaranteed the death of the species.
But that is in the past now. The forces of Zeon which you abandoned after the accident that made you what you are were routed, and the remnants were driven into hiding. Every member of the Zabi family met with a bad end.
Except, of course, for one.

It took a few course changes to reach Mars, since the Sericea was obliged to avoid a nebula that was in the shortest path between the ghost ship you were just investigating and the Sol system, but you managed to make the journey in just four days. By harnessing two powerful Newtypes' abilities to create a powerful Axis Shock, travel to the nearest inhabited star system to humanity's cradle on Earth can be done in a weekend. That ability is why Newtypes are so highly prized in the political realm, and have become the backbone of a fledgling interstellar community.
It's also why you have sought for many years to ensure that the Newtypes in charge of making those trips are able to remain politically neutral, rather than be used as tools like you once were.
“So, Carrina, you think Lady Mineva will receive us?” Rossweisse muses, staring out the viewscreen at the red planet that fills the whole display.
You nod softly. “Of course she will. Unless she's become one of those pop star divas who ignores everyone she knew before she got big.”
Rossweisse snickers. “I can almost see that.”
The Sericea rolls starboard at Rossweisse's command, giving you a better view of the planet below. The Valles Marineris now spread out across the viewscreen, the largest known system of canyons in the Sol System and home to most of the human population on Mars. The city of Tithon at the western end of the Valles is the site of the spaceport, shipyards, and orbital elevator serving the whole region, and it's where your ship needs to obtain landing permission.
Rossweisse hits a switch that connects your psycomm system to the traffic controller at Tithon.
“Tithon Control, this is Captain O'Hara of the Sericea,” you announce, before giving your identification code. “We request expedited landing clearance at any available berth.”
“Sericea, this is Tithon. We weren't expecting you, what business brings you to Mars?”
>2/3
>>46730929
“Suspicious bunch, aren't they?” Rossweisse mutters, cocking an eyebrow at the comm system.
“Tithon this is Sericea,” you reply, allowing a hard edge to your voice to emerge. “We're here to speak with Queen Mineva Lao Zabi, urgent fleet business.”
“We weren't informed of any scheduled diplomatic arrivals.”
“Because it's urgent business,” you repeat. “Look, we're landing with or without clearance. So if you'd like to explain to Lady Mineva why you made two of her old friends from the Colony Fleet get out and walk, be my guest.”
The comms are silent as the desk-jockeys on the other end deliberate amongst themselves, clearly weighing the value of following regular protocols against interfering with an urgent message for the Queen.
“Ah, the wonders of a constitutional monarchy,” you sigh. “The bureaucracy of both with the conveniences of neither.”
Rossweisse merely shrugs.
Finally, the traffic controller gets back to you. “Sericea this is Tithon, landing clearance is granted for Terminal Three, Berth 1C. Welcome to Mars.”
“Terminal Three is used by the Royal Martian Navy,” Rossweisse quietly observes as she switches the comms off. Terminals One and Two usually handle diplomatic and civilian transit, if you recall correctly, which means either those slots are booked solid and the military terminal was the only space available, or...
“They may want to keep a close watch on us,” you conclude.

Ork ships really need more Kustom Points at higher levels
>So I'm just a few hours into multiplayer playing as Orks, and it feels like savage gunships are just 10x as good as the other escorts and the odd >100 points always gets spent on 3 of those and they never fail to wreck something... Are they really good or are they shit/easily countered but you don't notice until you play against someone who knows what they're doing?
Savages are nasty as fuck, but they have the usual Orkish escort vulnerabilities. They're both slow and short-ranged. Someone who actually pumps some fire into them and knows what engagement range is will fucking plow a Savage.
In TT, they exist more as mobile area denial than as an actual part of the fleet: a mobile 45+cm bubble (depending on the size, facing, and shape of the escort blob) into which you do not put anything you wish to keep.
Reminder that the Eldar are the race of true patricians.

http://www.polyhedroncollider.com/2016/04/dark-souls-board-game-preview.html
Might be good, but I'm more interested in the storytelling and evocative setting of Dark Souls and eliciting that feeling of melancholy exploration than I am in the boss battles (which are also mostly fun). Since he said that's what was lacking from the preview, this isn't doing much for me.
I'm also concerned about the economic and space requirements of a game with not only 10cm figures but a different deck for each.
>>46729382
Eesh, that preview confirms I am only getting it for the miniatures because that gameplay sounds exactly what I feared: hard because of rng bullshit rather than needing a good interplay of control and planning.
>>46729642
I'd guess it's much the same as Kingdom Death, which is much the same with different decks for large monster figures.
I'm wondering if you could play this on a large board cluttered with terrain, it could be a great cooperative skirmish game.
I'll probably only invest for the minis, though. There's some I absolutely would love to own without having to sculpt them myself, and they can be useful in other games.

In life, Saku's face had been bland and featureless, the few details that were there fading from memory as soon as you looked away. It was not a natural neutrality, but a product of the sorcery that granted him his curious abilities. While you were looking at him, his face showed whatever he wanted it to, but nothing would remain in memory. The perfect trick for a spy and saboteur, an agent of chaos.
Now, in death, it can barely be called a face. His features have become sunken, the skin hanging loose from his skull until it has only the slightest resemblance of a human face. It happened when Howa cut his ring finger from his dead body, seeking to take the Ring of the Faceless into her own care. Now, the ring itself – and the finger it stubbornly clings to – is resting deep within your pocket.
It won't be there for long. You're going to destroy it, and you don't care what you need to do to make sure that happens. This damn ring doesn't deserve to exist.
>>46728419
All too aware of the severed finger in your pocket, a thin layer of cotton between the cold flesh and your clothes, you sit down in front of the Mentor and wait cautiously. Part of you expects reproach, blame for your failed attempt at interrogating Saku. In a way, you want the blame to fall upon you – and with it, the role of compensating for the failure.
What you get, instead, is concern. The Mentor gazes at you for a long time, his eyes more alive than usual as he studies you. “You are well?” he asks eventually, “Shaken, I presume, but unharmed.”
You're fit for duty, you reply carefully, if that's what he was wondering. That's why you're here, to check if he had new orders for you. You both want the ring destroyed – the Mentor has no more desire to see it exist than you do – and you're here to discuss your options. As you recall, it was said to be hardier than a normal ring of steel, but far from invulnerable. Melting it down should work, he suggested.
“That's correct, but I fear we do not have the facilities here,” the concerned look doesn't drop from the Mentor's eyes as he explains the situation, “I would suggest the capital. The works of industry should offer you the facilities you need. I can arrange for a rider to take the ring there, if you wish to rest for now – these past days must be taking their toll on you, Ira, and I would not wish to force you into action before you're ready.”
A rider. Someone who doesn't know what they're dealing with. Someone who might even be tempted to prise the ring from the digit that bears it and try it on their own finger. That's all it would take, and then the ring would be out of your grasp, lost in the wider world. Not an option, no matter how much you might need to rest.
>I'll take the ring. I wanted to see the capital anyway
>Fine. Let your rider take it – but make sure they know what they're doing
