Hello, and welcome to Alderaan Guard Quest. Before I start, I'd like to lay down some ground rules.
>The setting primarily takes place in the new canon
I will admit that alot of EU stuff will be reintroduced slowly in this quest, but until otherwise stated, consider all of the EU non-canon. Furthermore the EU elements might be retooled and different, so don't go screaming "not muh EU".
>Write-ins are allowed and encouraged
I don't want your choices to be restricted, but I will throw out your write-in if its completely pants on head retarded. Also I apologize, as this leads to longer time between replies. Such is the cost of freedom.

Alright family, in addition to Money, I’m going to start tracking Frustration. Frustration will affect the outcome of certain rolls/decisions, depending on whether it’s high or low (use common sense to figure out which).

You had handed a blue five dollar bill to a tough looking bouncer, following your friends through an inconspicuous door on a sidestreet in The Bricks. A set of descending stairs and a dirty, poorly lit hallway later, you pushed through another guarded set of double doors.

The club is loud, a vivid painting in dizzying colours, frenetic sound and sultry darkness. What appears to once have been a factory of some sort has been repurposed: the production machinery on the factory floor has been stripped away in favour of stripped down machinery of a different sort, a sweaty heaving mass of ecstasy and abandonment. Catwalks and platforms above create a spiderweb gallery; you see figures drinking, laughing, conversing, and doing just about everything else in the shadows above. At the centre of the cavernous club, a DJ’s booth has been built across two parallel catwalks, festooned with subwoofers and flashing lights.

So uh, I wanna build a setting based on Eastern European history and folklore but I'm not sure how to capture the spirit of it.

Northern european fantasy is easy enough with its gloomy yet nobledark themes of courage in the face of doom and humans trying to transcend their primitive urges. The fantastic background is familiar what with its fair folk/elves, trolls, dragons, draugr, krakens, magical swords, mysterious western lands, etc.

As for eastern europe I got nuffin but vampires, werewolves, and stereotypical cynicism.
