You are Sierra Beckhoff, and you must confront Anatu-allatu, daughter of Ushologuissa the wrymwrither. With information from Nabuth’shazzar and the help of the Pallid Mask, the heiress has taken San Francisco’s magister hostage – who, not coincidentally, is also your boyfriend’s father.

If you do not face Anatu on Alcatraz come sundown, she’ll kill him. The alternative is attacking her base in Fimbria to rescue Crowther, but if she’s expecting you, there’s a chance even you might not be able to escape her trap.

Complicating things is the involvement of the Yellow King, a landmaster from the depths of the ocean. Fearing for the safety of the city, Isaac’s calling in the big guns to head off his territorial ambitions. With a team of government operatives coming to town, your dad might be too preoccupied to help out with this one.

You have all hands on deck. A misstep here could get people killed. Whatever you plan to do, you’d better choose carefully.

Last time, you defeated the dangerous but insufferably weeaboo Captain Oda Yoritomo of the Storm Dragons, marking your first boss battle of the quest. You also passed a Very Difficult Fast Talk & Persuasion roll to convince him to become your subordinate.

However, he had two conditions. Firstly, you must declare yourself a Pirate Admiral. As far as you know, it's simply a matter of declaring yourself one and dealing with any consequences that come from it, it's not a formal title and Yoritomo might have made it up. This would allow him to keep his crew name and absolute authority onboard his own vessel. The other, more dangerous request was for a photo of your Martian captive Fatima Hana Ahmad wearing an outfit of his choosing...he mentioned some sort of girls' school uniform...for him to make a resin model of to commemorate the occasion.

The Knuckle Kaiser is lightly damaged, with its head armor's SP reduced to 3 and 5 Kills of structure remaining out of a total of 6, meaning that the sensor mask has been damaged and the sharp-toothed grin beneath is exposed. Yoritomo's Osano-Wo is missing its right arm and its samurai helmet is badly damaged, however, so you still got the better end of the bargain.

For those worried about how long the last combat took, do keep in mind that most of the duel involved hitting each other with plain old hyperalloy impact weapons.

You look around at the houses. Most of them look old and unkept. People leer at you from the windows, darting out of sight when you make eye contact.

"Looks like it's been hit pretty hard by everything..." Derrick says. "We should keep this trip short. Do what we need to, and get out"

"Hey!" She gives a playful punch to your shoulder. "We've got something easy ahead, unfortunately. About 6 total, only two seem to have weapons. One's just a knife, too! Can you believe it? It's like they're tryna' get beaten up by two badass superheroes!"

She notices your slump and bends down towards you. "Hon? Something bad? Did that guy leave a bug in your brain? Or uh...whatever his powers were?"

Be honest now, how old were you when you grew out of Magic: The Gathering and other similar tcgs?

I ask because I recently started writing my thesis on the mental health issues that affects Magic: The Gathering players and how no one is discussing this, you won't see it in the news. This is something that affects a great number of people. What I mean is, no sane person would waste money or time on games like MTG, YuGiOh and such, when there are far superior card games out there like Android: Netrunner. It's common sense. So it's worrying that something so obvious that can be seen at plain sight is being ignored by everyone. Jesus, just go to any Friday Night Magic tournament and you can see what I mean for yourself. Help me spread awareness please.

So the last thread had some talk about bioadepts, and how they're the bomb because once you initiate it's no problem. Am I the only one who thinks initiation should be a big deal? IMO, it's worth a mini-session one on one with the mage/adept (unless you've got multiple Awakened characters with the same tradition) to go on a metaplanar jaunt, chat with their Mentor Spirit, or whatever else they need to do to deepen their connection with magic. It's one of those character things that are also important for balance, I think- while some people just go and get new metal shoved into their bodies when they have the cash, an Awakened character who wants to get better at magic can't take the shortcuts of technology. They have to work for their magic.

Yes as long as you don't use it to powerplay.

We tend to use spoilers for OOC chat, but nothing is set in stone.
We tend to use greentexts for describing a character's actions, but again nothing is set in stone.
Use d20s for combat checks and d100s for other things you want to roll, higher Is better.
It's important to know that the regiment is now in the employ of a radical Ordo Xenos Inquisitor, with influence from an Ordo Malleus Inquisitor and under the watch of an Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor. Yes we've been through a lot of shit.
