"Alright" The captain shouted as loud as a crack of thunder as the wind whirl and howled around him "I'm not going to mince words here, The ship floating next to ours is...one of ours and as you can no doubt see, it's been ransacked by some far too confident pirates"
I yawn, and pull my cap over my eyes as I put my arms behind my head so I got have to lay it against a hard as nails pole. Luckily everyone else is too flabbergasted to say anything, so I can still here the captain growl his speech, without falling asleep, hopefully at least.
"And as you no doubt can guess, we're not going to let them get away with this" The capn growls furiously, wrapping his hands around the railing and cracking and breaking it into a handful of splinters with a resounding crack "Brabrabra, we'll be the swift crack of justice, and hunt whoever did this to the ends of the seas and to land if we must"
I lift my cap up, just in time to see the capn tossing the splinters away as he walks down from the wheel and to the deck proper.
"However there's only one problem" Baldrick sighs, walking in front of Ginegin, looking tired and worn out as usual "We have absolutely no idea who did this, and for what reason so..we can't really hunt them without some sort of...well any idea of anything really"
"Well good, because I have a plan" Ginegine laughs as he looks over at the ghost ship, gently rocking in the waves next to our own "Brabrabrabrabra"

Welcome to A Song of Revenge and Gold: House Malroy Quest. In which you take the reins of a House of storied glorious past since Aegon’s Conquering, but whose fortunes have taken a turn for the worse in the doom that Robert’s Rebellion brought. You are Brynden Malroy, second son to Lord Vamos Malroy and Lady Esemella Hayford and the last living heir to Steadhold and House Malroy. The year is 285AC, two years after the Rebellion and a year after your return to Westeros.
House Malroy is a pre-genned House designed around the idea of a story within the Crownlands of a House fiercely loyal to the Targaryens and their attempts to live in this new world after Robert’s Rebellion. Lord Brynden Malroy is as well pre-genned but will take direction from the players in his ways and how he develops himself further. This Quest will be moderately more story driven than others of its kind, but the development of the House and her lands will take just as much importance.
If you’ve played one of the many Quests within the ASoIaF setting the rules of the SIFRP system should be known. I will be using the Game of Thrones edition, as well as a few of the expansions namely OOSP and a few house rules which will be explained as we come to them. If you have questions about how things work or why certain actions are taken I can explain them as we go along. In truth this is a learning experience for me as well.

And now without further ado.
“Father?”
Eyes scan the makeshift battle camp your men had erected in the early hours of the morning, your uncle had arrived less than an hour ago midway through its construction, the forces of House Chelsted in tow. Dontos had been at its head, flanked by Ser Raymund Chelsted, Lady Alexes’ younger brother, and your son. There was a degree of worry in your heart to see the boy in the field, but in truth you had started earlier at the age of 8, and you did have faith in your Uncle to keep him safe. You had rode out to meet them, riding next to your more than excited son as he told you of the siege.
“Yes my son?”
“Did Lady Obella have her baby yet?” he asks meekly.
You laugh and lean over from your Goldsong and ruffle the boy’s hair, “No Victus, not yet, Why do you ask?”
The boy looks down at the reins, twisting them up around his hands, “I’ve always wanted a baby brother or sister,” he says innocently, “Rodner, Lady Alexes’ son, he isn’t the same, he’s so scared of everything. He’s already five! I was riding horses by then!”
“Not on your own Victus,” you respond plainly, fondly remembering the times you had taught your son to ride in Essos.
“Well… Yeah… But still! I want to teach my baby brother to ride. Or a baby sister how to be tough so the boys don’t tease her like they do to the Princess.”
You flash a look towards your son and see his cheeks having turnt to red at the mention. It was odd for you, the boy had grown so much in the past year, he was half the scared little boy that you brought along with you to unknown lands, so far away from his ‘home’. Dontos’ teaches certainly hadn’t been lost on him, you could hear the tinge of the Septon’s words in his voice now, the way he held himself, his attentiveness to your Uncle’s demands. In due time he would become the Knight you never were, a man your family could be proud of, name be damned.
His sudden interest in the fairer sex had amused you to no end as well, his simple flirtations with Princess Arianne Martell hadn’t been lost on you, nor her by the way her puffy little cheeks went to red and her voice to giggles.
“Does my son have a crush?”
Victus looks to you with horror in his eyes, the same green spark flaming up in an instant, “NO! I- No! She is just- Very nice! I liked showing her around Steadhold and… Playing and ah... She was… Um…”
You’ve fallen to laughter as your son attempts to explain his feelings for the Princess. Ser Mason Flowers had rode out to meet you and both gave you odd looks, though the former clues in relatively quickly having known your son just as well as you and joins in on your laughter after a similar question that sends the boy sputtering again. You can see Dontos rolling his eyes as he presses forward, Ser Raymund quickly after him. Mors the Marsher, who had arrived after Fairbanks linked up with Ser Wesley Hayford, and Ser Lucas Longwaters waited for you at your makeshift war table. Swinging off of Goldsong you had his reins off to one of the squires and look up to your son.
“Just don’t go running off after her my son,” you say with a smile, “And when Lady Obella gives birth to your baby brother or sister, you’ll be the first to know. I promise. And then you can visit Steadhold, and meet them, once this is all done, hm?”
Victus face still hadn’t let the red leave but he nods all the same, “Yes father.”
“Good boy, now follow after the other squires, Arron is with them, sure he’ll be happy to see you.”
Victus nods again and presses his spur into Redsong driving him after the others, you shake your head, allowing the smile to fall with it and turn to the war tent, being the last to enter. Mors had brought a map of the Forgotten Hall deep in the woods, as best as Fairbanks and the Bows could muster. A round of greetings goes about the table, Dontos was quick to introduce Raymund, praising him for his part in the siege. No small thing from your uncle. Looking over the map you note the general difficulty of approach, a single road, most of the surrounding area thick wood and bramble.
“Mors, report,” your order eyes still trained upon the map.
The crannogmen straightens from his leaning position upon his longbow and begins to point to areas upon the map as he spoke, “One road milord. Curtis Flowers and the Jons explored the woods surroundin’ it, small paths, not fit for horses nor army. Fairbanks people caught a few men running to warn them, executed them like the rest they did. We supposin’ they don’t know ‘bout us coming for them.”
“Marching siege equipment down their only path is likely to tip them off,” Mason remarks.
Mors nods, “Aye Ser. Dangerous business that. They has a wooden wall, wood still fresh and wet, surrounds the whole ruin, big wood doors barred with iron. Looks like they rebuildin’ the hall with wood. Old stone wall on the north side, best protected. Weak side on the east, small foot path. Path on the west, just wide enough for two wagons, might be large enough for a catapult. We suppose 400 men, maybe some on horses.”
“We have a covered battering ram with us,” Dontos says having crossed his arms, and stroking the dust on his chin, “Shouldn’t be hard to break down those doors then flood in. Any counter siege or ranged Mors?”
“At least half them be archers. Wear colors though, Curtis says they be the Dargoods.”

In my pathfinder game I plan to introduce my characters to the world bank. The twist is that it is basically run by the mafia. I had originally decided on making them Turlins so that they would be literal loan sharks. But where's the fun in that?

I've been testing with RDW and have so far managed to best control and bant decks.
Then I faced a White Humans deck.

Bant will hit the breaks after rotation.
Humans will not. It'll undoubtedly survive rotation because EM will add more humans, as will the block that comes after.
I went 4-0 with Monowhite humans. Control/TiTi just couldn't keep me off long enough. Red Eldrazi couldn't keep me from crunching through attacks. Green/White humans were too slow. Superfriends got smashed before they got rolling.

So here's a question.
What is your favorite system of the five and why?
So I'm still slightly confused by dodge while in cover. (Only War)
Let's say you're in AP 8 cover, you're shooting dudes so your head and arms are exposed.
>You get shot in the leg. What bonus does the cover give you to dodge? If you fail you still have AP 8, right?
>You get shot in the head. Do you still get a bonus to dodge? If you fail you have no cover armour, right?

Hear ye, hear ye. I hereby call to order this meeting of the most illustrious Mages Guild! So, hello everyone and welcome back, I know yesterday was a mess what with the rabbit kaiju rampage but it was a good learning experience all around, very interesting and we got to see redrobes turned into carrots and consumed, always funny. Anyway, It has come to my attention that several of our departments have potential apocalypses scheduled for different dates and times. Now, Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but the chronomancers have companied that it's making it difficult to figure out how far into the future they can steal funds from, and everyone knows they don't get tired when they start bitching about something. So, the departments that DO have apocalypses scheduled, you have to get together and hash out when exactly your apocalypses are scheduled for and which one it is going to be. And no, before anyone asks, 'flood the world with ALL the booze' is not an apocalypse anyone is allowed to plan. Ever again. Nor are the chainsawmancers allowed input on this decision. And please, this time, don't go around triggering them early to prove a point.Welcome to the Mages' Guild. Pick a name and join in! Conflicts are resolved with d20s when needed, or with playing it out. When the thread dies on /tg/, we keep it going on desustorage.org (Because 4plebs disabled Ghostposting.) Look, it's not OUR fault that the pyromancers are fucking with our inexorably advancing wall of ice. It'll get here when it gets here.
Does this include Zombie apocalypses?
I recently saw a thread for superpowers that are based on real trauma. The OP for that thread was using a Worm/Weaver Dice power philosophy.
I have no fucking clue what that means, nor was I very impressed by the powers granted or the reasoning behind them, so I've decided to reboot the thread idea.
Tell me about real life traumas you've experienced, and I'll grant you a superpower that would result from and help abate said trauma. A trauma is usually a singular event, so if it's a long past of abuse, choose the very worst part.
If you like your superpower (or even if you hate it), feel free to tell us how you'd use your powers, and even describe yourself as a hero (or villain) if you'd like.

Stage 119: Portents, Platitudes, and Perfections.
Your half sister Ryuu Nabiki has been restored to life, or something like it. More than that, she has been restored as a demigoddess, somewhat beyond the level of you or your cousin Hauko. Where before her shattered Pearl was dust in the possession of the youkai that was representative of the Forest of Suicides, black Aokigahara, you have not only restored her Pearl, but turned her into a potent possessor of the lost souls of the suicides that have ended their lives in the forest. They are chained to her – at least in a Barrier – by slender silver chains. Colorless and iridescent fire spills from her aura, and her tail and head are crowned with blue-green Ghost Fire.
She's as amazed at the transformation as you are.
More importantly, it verifies something you suspected before: Ryuu Nabiki was no more Horobi than Ryuu Hauko ever was. She was certainly something, and potentially powerful, yes, but she wasn't the recipient of Ame-no-Horobi-no-Mikado's kimoto. Or if she was, then the spirit of Aokigahara supplanted it. Which is probably why Oba-san wasn't interested in using her as a vessel, and an even more likely reason that Er Yin-sensei and Kiku-chan were unable or unwilling to execute her despite failing the test of Horobi in Kiku's Barrier. You're pretty certain that this was not how Kiku-chan expected things to turn out, considering she was beside herself with a series of emotions you're not entirely sure you could quantify at the moment.
There's also the good possibility you were dead for a few minutes. But you're better now, fortunately.
>>46814550
“Namo Amida Butsu,” you murmur softly over hands placed together, as you sit before your sister. She blushes, and shakes her head, lifting her hands. “Well, you're closer than I am, and we're both closer than Hauko.”

“Hasn't stopped me before. Not much doesn, really, which is something I should probably work on.”
“What?”
“Nevermind....”

You are Adrian Brown, a twenty five year-old third-year medical student living an otherwise normal American life in search of employment. That was until you woke up inside a derelict and demon-infested hospital with four other victims of short-term memory loss. Together, the five of you managed to somehow survive by negotiating with demons and defeating those that were not so amicable. And upon escaping, the all of you realized that it wasn’t as simple as that.
Task Force 666 a multinational organization dedicated to combating hostile demons and those that would use them for ill intentions. And the hellhole you just went through? That was your ‘job interview’, one that you passed with flying colors. When properly offered employment as an agent among the ranks, you accepted without too much hesitation or second thoughts. Duty to humanity and whatnot.
You are now a Devil Summoner in the service of the Task Force, and the de-facto leader of East Coast Operations Rookie Team Three. It is your duty to protect mankind from all threats involving the demonic, but how you choose to carry out your orders is entirely up to you. The choices you make shall not only affect those around you, but the fate of the entire world itself…
[12:23 AM, Tuesday June 30th 2015]
For the briefest of moments, everything…just stops.
Squad Carina, their demons, and even Duke Orias pause in their movements to watch Adrian Brown collapse onto the ground for unknown reasons. It was a rather unexpected and sudden event. One moment, he had been in the process of getting ready to toss a Dis-Poison to one of his demons, and the next? Boom, on the ground, unconscious and twitching.
Everyone has varying reactions. Brady, Victoria and Adrian’s demons are demonstrating myraid degrees of panic, from ‘oh shit’ to ‘ohmygodisheokay?!’. MacKay starts shouting into his COMP, “Man down, man down”, as Fitz moves to try and flank the enemy with consecutive blasts from her shotgun.
All Orias does is shrug, as if to say ‘not me’, and resume his attacks on the remainder of Carina Squad.
Then time resumes, and everything starts going down the slippery slope of FUBAR. Hopefully that can be rectified before it's too late.
