A sexy cthulhu woman walks up and hands you a book. The book is a tabletop RPG that has been written by the eldritch abominations that live beyond the stars, and is best played by a group of 6 to 8 players.
Describe what the game is like and its rules.
>>47085629
Literally the backstory for the creation of Traveler
FATAL. Because sexy eldritch abominations are the few things that could understand that game.
>>47085629
The game's resolution mechanic uses a deck of three-sided cards with gem slots for adjoining your character's abilities.
Alright /tg/ I haven't painted anything in probably 15 years but I've accumulated a crap load of things to paint. What I want to know is where I should start as the majority of paints I have are not really good anymore. What paint does /tg/ recommend to get back into the mini painting scene?
I'll just post some minis I found.
How come we haven't gotten any good Vampires in the Civil War game since Deadlands?
Nobody cares about either of those things.
>>47085519
The only people who actually care about the Civil War in the US think that parodying an event that led to the loss of 600,000+ Americans would be in poor taste.
>>47085565
There are quite a few World War 2 themed games out there, and quite a few more people died in this one.
Stat her, /tg/How would you play a character based on her?
Am I supposed to know who this is?

Assassin Rogue/Shadow Monk
Vice would be a Barbarian/Assassin Rogue
If Paizo ever makes a second edition, I hope they create a new setting. Golarion is just retarded
How so, OP? Doesn't it give you all the possible opportunities for high adventure you'd expect in a D&D world?
>>47085342
It's the wrong kind of boring.
>>47085437
What do you mean?
Have you seen his yet, /tg/?
What are your thoughts?
>>47085197
Yes.
Looks good.
Will buy when it comes out in two years.
>>47085197
pledged only to get the stretch goals and resell with profit if I don't like it
The video previewing the mechanics made it look pretty interesting and engaging for a board game, and having procedural zone layouts gives it replayability. Plus the mechanics are simple and varied so you could brew up your own monsters and player classes like you could a more robust RPG system if you want to get deep into it.
Why aren't theses fitted with plasma cannons for their cannons?
Pic related is ITER: International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor
D + T ---> He (3.5 MeV) + n (14 MeV)
n + Li ---> He + T
Greatest experiment in human history (so far), ITER is supposed to fix 2 major problems in the world: global warming (by humanity no longer using oil) and energy crisis (we use more and more oil, our most productive oil wells are getting dry).
By creating a "star in a lab" using superconductive materials, strong magnetic fields, at 200.000.000 °C temperature, and millions of amperes of electricity, we could use the formula above, fuse these 2 elements, and get the plasma we need.
With this plasma, all of our energy needs would be solved, for quite some time.
So that's how hard it is to create plasma, I guess I'd stick to just loading explosive into a canon too.
>>47085233
You don't understand what plasma is
>>47085296
You would need a load of blood for all of that sorta plasma.
We are talking about blood plasma... right?
Hol up!
Can you cast Awaken on a bag of holding and make it sentient? Would it retain memories of things previously placed inside it and what sort of personality would a bag of holding have?
>>47084927
Yeah sure whatever, kid. It's all fantasy.
Get out of here, Bridge Princess
No one cares what you think.
>>47084927
Well I know the Bag of Holding would be quitepossessive
Princess Pillow Fighter Thread.
Short version: It's an RPG with no serious injuries allowed, featuring tea parties, pillow fights, kidnappings, escapes, dessert management, intrigue, and possibly marriage.
Medium version: https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Princess_Pillow_Fighter
Long version: Pic related. It's updated as of a day ago. It's not very different, but it's hopefully organized better and now certain fiddly bits are less fiddly. Don't get too excited.
I was going to let the game sit for a while before making a new thread, but I realized that I let the last thread die before getting a way to contact a certain contributor and I was hoping I could track them down again. In the meantime, princesses/pillow fights/game mechanics/setting/etc.
Second thought that occurred to me. Last time, there was some discussion on dress physics that got boiled down to a couple of paragraphs to help players and GMs deal with outfits and outfit related plots/sequences. It reminded me a little bit of those old monster ecology articles from ye olde D&D that everyone likes, so I thought it might be a useful thing to screw around with.
At the same time, I remembered the Pillow Fight League (pic related), a supposedly real, staged, or semi-staged depending on who you talk to thing. It didn't end up being super relevant because PPF fights kind of run on the Princess and the Pea joke that the characters are so delicate that they can be knocked out by a light tap from the softest possible object, whereas real people do not work that way. But I thought that a couple of paragraphs of Monster Ecology: Pillow Fights might be useful (or failing that, Monster Ecology: Baking or Monster Ecology: Guest Management). Any thoughts?
Are these sexy pillow fights we're talking about here?
>>47086486
Not really but they might becute
Why is Fate so terrible, and why do people willingly play it?
Because it'sfun
>>47083846
Because it'sbuzzword.
Hey /tg/, I was hoping we could get another character art thread going.
Requesting some pictures of villains that I could use for a comic style rpg.
Who was in the wrong here, /tg/?
>>47083493
Both
Nobody. That's just how GRIM DARKNESS works.
Ravens are borderline heretics and deserve every ounce of suspicion and mistrust they're given
Does your PC have a job? How does he or she balance it against her adventuring?
Yeah. In a morgue. He's frequently late for the job, but the customers generally don't mind.
My changeling Rogue she CK2'd her way to being the queen of a small kingdom. It gets difficult to move around so I often send other characters for me to go along with the party.
He's a mercenary. Adventuring is literally his job.
Anybody play this game? What's it like? Good or bad?
I hear the French version is funnier, and the English version is more WoD-like.
>>47081193
What's supposed to be funny about angels and demons battling each other?
>>47081222
The original game's a parody of how the Catholicism.
What's the deal with Ethereals? If they control other Tau via pheromones, how does it work over radio? In fact, since the Fire Tau are almost always in sealed suits, how does it even work on them?
>>47080800
They are indoctrinated since birth.
It's fucking communism, I ain't gotta explain shit
You don't have to be on contact with that shit 24/7 for it to be effective. If evert time an ethereal walked into the room your whole life you had a quasi-religious experience of complete submission to their will, you aren't going to shake your head and yell "GO fuck yourself" the first time one sends you an order over radio just because it didn't feel quite as magical.
