Would witches with archetypical powers of women (sex, manipulation, cunning) completelly dominate a generic fantasy society? I can't imagine how would men/standard RPG witchunters have any chance against them. I think witchhunters would be females exclusively.

New person here. Here are the questions I'm interested in.
Should I go with 2ed exalted or 3rd edition?
Is 3rd edition better?
Things to look out for so my players don't feel intimidated ( I want to try new systems and settings to break the pattern)?
If you want your players to not feel intimidated, definitely go for 3e. 2e is a CLUSTERFUCK to play, especially the combat system.
The hardest thing about 3e is probably the use of shifting initiative as a sort of secondary health mechanic, but it's not that difficult. Try reading this, it explains things very well in action and gradually introduces new things.
https://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?769761-Exalted-3E-Combat-301
Try introducing combat in the system to your players in a similar way.

thx
>>47094812
2e is like AD&D 2e, you might accidentally kill your players and most of the dramatic resolution is "Do you have X? Yes? You win. No? You lose."
2e is the mother of all intimidation. If you don't build your character exactly right, you will simply die.
3rd is overall better, though it has less existing support since it's a new edition.
How many is too many?
There is no such thing as too many dice.
Every year or so I buy another Chessex Pound o'dice, just because.
No limit, unless you're collecting disproportionate numbers of one type. Nobody needs more than one d12 of any color/style.
A couple "pound o' dice" bags will always be plenty for any guests.

In total? No such thing.
In a single roll? I like to keep things in the single digits, maybe a dozen at most.

Are you sure? It kills Floor Guardians, yes, but from what I've seen they're much lesser than Chaos Gods. Then again I suppose Chaos Gods ARE energy in a very real sense.
>raising the ambient Shinshoo levels
I doubt this would kill the more powerful beings out there outright, or for that matter anyone smart enough to devise a way to magic/science away the effects. Still pretty devastating since from what I remember it's basically like spirit radiation sickness.
>>47117283
Well its power would be dependent on it's user, Baam is no Enryu so he won't be killing no guardians, but if you got strong enough and truly mastered the Thorn there would be very little that could stand against you. Killing the Chaos gods would require you to be ludicrously powerful because even if you have an avenue to attack them with the Thorn you probably wouldn't be powerful enough to harm them.
ToG seems like a pretty broken setting for jumpchain, from a jumper's perspective it is literally a training ground for turning you into a ranker, a broken and immeasurably powerful ranker. If you used ToG as an early chain jump it would be an amazing place to gain power.
A little late but this is a good answer to >>47110292
>>47117283
Seed the setting with the level of Shinsoo seen at the top of the tower, kill everyone in the setting who isn't strong enough to survive in it.

The boy blinks, his eyes fixated on the young girl scrambling away from him. Her hand blocks view of his face; almost like a shield.
"Sis?" The boy asks, the realization not quite hitting him just yet.
"I'm sorry." The girl repeats, almost backed into a corner of the room. "I don't know who you are, you must have me confused with someone else."
You are Jack Albator. You don't run an orphanage, you aren't a child psychologist, and you aren't a bloody shoulder to cry on!
Maybe if you just leave, then the whole thing will sort itself out?
You don't know; it might be worth a try.
"S-sis." the boy's voice cracks.
"I'm sorry, but-" The girl, Esther, continues. "-Please don't call me that."
You grumble, and immediately stomp over to the devastated lad. With a hoist, you lift him up by his shoulder and carry him out of the shrine.
This isn't the time to sit here and listen to him whail and scream.
The door closes behind you, and the Lass inside still looks just as dumbstruck as ever.
Madeleine and Keiko, who were happily talking and blabbering about who-knows-what, quickly turn their attention to you when they hear the sorrowful cries of a small kid who just had his only family tell him to go away.
"Jack?!" Madeleine jumps with a start.
"Hey! What's wrong with him?!" Keiko seems equally worried.
You quickly fill Madeleine in on what just transpired. With a hoist, you drop the kid into Madeleine's arms. She seems just as confused what to do now as you do.
Then, you reach into your pocket, and get your flask out. Heavy alcohol is the solution to this problem.

Welcome back, me hearties, to the fourteenth chapter of Mecha Space Pirate Quest! As always, you are Admiral Roarke Susan Starwind of the Iron Kestrels space pirate fleet, master of the starship Rhinehawk, and pilot of the terrifyingly crit-prone Knuckle Kaiser.

Aw yes its that time again, time to see how the dice feel tonight
“Doctor Duncan Clancy, I'm a particle physicist working the the Solar System League's joint initiative.” The scarred man lights offers you a cigarette, you decline. He shrugs and lights it, puffing smoke across the table in the Rhinehawk's mess hall, “The little girl is my daughter, Athena. My wife died giving birth to her.” He adds the last point after a questioning headtilt from you. You'd been about to ask if the Green Skulls were holding her mother hostage, the last thing you want is a potential spy...even an unwilling one...with technical knowledge and access to your mechbay.
“What exactly were you working on, doctor?” You've set your PC to open a notepad and a speech-to-text transcription program. Samantha is sitting next to you, listening silently.

“This facility was originally a legitimate mining operation owned by a Martian sheikh, some wealthy bigwig named Abdul Ahmad. I've only met him a handful of times, but he seemed like a good guy. He's got a handful of daughters, so we were able to talk about that at least. Man appreciates an efficient mech design too, unlike some people.” He grunts scornfully, taking a long drag and tapping away the ash, which spirals into the smoke and towards an air purifier and recirculation vent, “He's a major investor in the joint initiative, and offered the military this colony as a secret facility and test site for new weapons, mecha, and systems. I was brought in as part of Project Skywalker, studying advanced uses of the A-Particle field used to contain fusion reactions. The UJCIDF read some of the papers I wrote back on Europa and thought my ideas had merit, unlucky me. Should've just stayed in the Jovian colonies with my daughter, but like every scientist I wanted to be remembered for my work. They put me in charge of building a prototype unit using some of what we learned through our research. Granted, it wasn't a traditional design, due to the weight of the thing we had to improvise to make it fulfill our goals for power output and sturdiness...but the Tarrasque is still, in my opinion, the finest space-combat mech that ever was. Unsurpassed range and firepower. A main cannon that could even reduce your mech to scrap in seconds. Complete 360-degree protection against flanking opponents. The latest Bahamutcorp Bichir Armor AND a miniaturized version of the defensive screen projector they're installing on the most modern starships. It's even capable of sustained gravity flight! I told them, once you mass-produce the Tarrasque, no war is unwinnable.” He sighs heavily.

The throat is a fascinating and complex bit of anatomy that can be found in nearly all animals and creatures that inhabit Kaithe. It does not even matter the difference in size or species. Wolves, gryphons, dragons and many more all share some similar physiology not unlike a human’s. The reasons as to why this phenomena has occurred are still being hotly debated by magisters and wizards in their grand libraries and laboratories.
To be quite honest, you could care less about the origin. No, what matters to you is the weakness that you can exploit to your advantage.
Hidden and protected by skin and sinew, feather and scales, multiple systems work around the clock to aid in daily living. Blood vessels circulate vitae through the body, the windpipe contracts to take in fresh air, and the gullet flexes to pass food and fluids into the stomach. And that was nowhere near the complete list of what lie underneath.
Legend has it that the hero Raclus once took a dragon’s head off with just well-aimed blow to the neck. While you do not share his monstrous strength, it almost goes without saying that if you punch hard enough, something is sure to yield.
With all of this considered, all that’s left to do is figure out how hard you hit that bastard Silverow for.
