When I was 14 or 15, I felt pretty shitty after a rough day at school, so (after some prompting from Mum), my little brother asked me if I wanted to play Risk. Also, my little brother and I played Monopoly with our granddad in the back garden, under the big tree. I still have those games somewhere.
>What's that one game from your childhood that you still kinda like, even though it was clearly dogshit?
Snuggly Bugs. It's basically babby's first Carcassonne, but I played it with my future niece-in-law, and she seemed to like it.
>What's your favourite British board game?
You mean the designer, or the subject matter...? Either way, it's Ankh Morpork.

I think Miniature Market does something along those lines. I've never tried it so I don't know how it works

I've been meaning to buy / read that book OP, thanks for reminding me.

UNO / Parker Bros / Milton Bradly shiz from when I was a kid. My brother and Mom would play games and we'd have a good time.
>>What's that one game from your childhood that you still kinda like, even though it was clearly dogshit?
2nd Edition Talisman from college. Yeah, it's got a lot that's wrong with it, but it's still something my group plays for the hell of it once in a while.
>>What's your favorite British board game?
I'm... I'm not sure. Though I'd wager a guess it was probably designed by some chap who looked like pic related..
What's the worst non-death ending or fate your characters or group's characters have ever received?
One of my characters (a gnome tinkerer that invented a shotgun) ended up staring at an explosion and going permanently blind. some shit after and he made a deal with a mystic being to lose his sense of touch to get his eyesight back. that also made things really complicated (the DM dint have a fucking clue how to make that work mechanicly or what the fuck to do)
so after a failed quest to find some kind of fairy caused by a player using thunderwave in a cave and causing a cave-in killing the fairy and a deck of many things-devil killing all the other possible fairies my character was doomed to be a burden to everyone else.
So i retired him in a city run by a godlike figure and to this day he's still trying to tinker and invent shit as he teaches his ways in his little workshop in town.
Looking back at it i guess its not that bad of an end for him i suppose...
Very first time rping, dm thought it'd be fun to mess with me. Told me to make a normal character, so I did. Everyone else made setting-relevant characters (hitmen) so I was hilariously out of my element. Game devolved into making my character suffer. One player seduced my character's fiance, the others start a shootout at his job and he ends up shot multiple times. The police show up and blame my character, beating him within inches of his life. Last thing he sees is his boss standing over him, telling him he's fired.
The worst ending to any character:
The sessions just stop, and they are permanently locked in place, unable to continue forward towards the BBEG, and unable to fail and be remembered for the great things you did and attempted to do.

Especially the version of him in Marvel Adventures. Really, Marvel Adventures is just great all-around. You've got a Reed Richards who actually helps the world, a Hank Pym who's perfectly emotionally stable, and a Spider-Man who can manage to catch a break once in a while. Everyone's a lot happier in the Marvel Adventures universe, if the Marvel jump had an option to choose your continuity like the DC jump did I'd go there.

FOOL, JUMPER DOES AS HE PLEASES
What do you do for level one adventurers that doesn't involve "free beer if you stomp rats"
There is a hobgoblin army on our door steps, we need every able bodied adult to take a pike and defend the town while the women-folk, children, old, and sick are loaded into wagons to try and make a break for it.
You kill 3/4 of the characters in the siege.
There is a haunted place, go investigate.
Features either single strong enemy or literally nothing besides environmental hazards.
>>47153311
Is this "because the players don't want to be Lv 1 characters?"
Because, well, maybe don't make them be level 1 characters?
Tabletop games will never be enjoyable because someone will lose. Either the dm or the players. Therefore its a bad game because it forces a competion.
Any game that fosters competion will by definition be unenjoyable.

Greetings, people of /tg/. In the interest of, at the least, extending the unfinished piece of legendary /tg/ 'writefaggotry' (that is to say, a bundle of sticks with books in it) known as Love Can Bloom, I have taken upon myself, with encouraging lack of opposition from the Emperor, the task of continuing the story.
I decided that the people of /tg/ deserved a suitable end for the story, preferably one which
-Explains Retribution,
-Beats C.S. Goto in the face with a multilaser, and
-Fits with the supposed, unavailable original ending mentioned on 1d4chan.
If you have not read the first ten chapters (the original story, to the best of most people's knowledge), then go read it on the wiki, and may the God-Emperor have mercy on your soul.
In the interest of not spamming a wall of text, and based on my perusal of the rules of 4chan concerning external links, I have decided a far better endeavor would be to instead link a Google document (in no way advertising, well, anything) containing the story. If you have any comments or suggestions, feel free to let me know.
May the Emperor forgive us all.

Some have questioned whether Retribution or Love Can Bloom is canon. I say, "Why cannot both be canon?"
...Probably because of NERD RAAAAAAGE.

My name is Cecile, and I'm sixteen years old. I already thought my life was odd, what with my parents having moved halfway across the country for their new job and leaving me in the care of my older sister... but then my best friend went and had a book shipped to my house that ended up giving me superpowers.
In order to try and help Charlotte calm down after everything that's been happening, I've (with Gabrielle's help) managed to drag her out of the hotel for the day. And after a lot of fun stuff and a couple of awful incidents, we're currently having a nice ride on a ferris wheel.
Which of course, means that someone just HAS to call me in order to spoil the moment.

Truly and fully annoyed, I bring my loudly-ringing phone out of my pocket and glare at it.
"Dammit..." I mutter under my breath.
"Who's calling?" Charlotte asks.
Aaaaand it's Irene. Which means that it -may- be something important.

Charlotte is already on edge as it is and hearing Irene's voice wont likely improve that, assuming she can't hear the phone conversation to begin with.

“How do I look!?” Winona dusts herself off gently. She’s done her make up properly, she’s actually wearing the full uniform today complete with the little hat and the jacket, and she even smells of strawberries. What is it with girls and smelling like strawberries here? Smells good, but once everyone smells like strawberries, no one smells like strawberries.
“You look fine,” you say.
The five of you were busy in the lockerrooms, getting dressed for today’s jobs. Well, only you and Winona were getting out of doing jobs today. Why? Because Perrine Hobart of J. Walter Christie tech was visiting the school, and Gertrude in fact invited you to come and greet her as well alongside her sister Griselda. “I’m telling you,” says Stack. “An Unlimited tanker isn’t really gonna care about looks. Have you seen their tanks?”
“Stack, you’re pushing my buttons!” Winona frowns deeply at Stack. “And I don’t like having my buttons pushed! Perrine Hobart is the absolute best girl ever and I will not tolerate a mean word about her in my presence!”
“Nobody likes Perrine,” says Ingrid. “Why can’t you realize that?”
“Becaaaause…” Winona pulls out a poster of Perrine Hobart from her backpack. You all stare at it. Swimsuit issue. Huh. She’s actually got a very nice body. “Nice body, nice brain, creative mind, equals BEST. You all are just jealous!”
“I ain’t jealous of some creole,” mutters Stack. “And I sure ain’t gonna be jealous of her tendency to cut apart perfectly good tanks to make really stupid looking ones.”
“Ugh!” Winona pouts, looking at you. “You believe me right?”

You mean the one with 400+ replies?
My reply died in the last thread, so I'll ask again. Would anyone actually have a problem with someone using a marine codex (specifically Black Templar rules) with sister of battle miniatures? My new LGS seems to have an issue with it, but aren't giving any reason other than "it is dumb", while my former FLGS was perfectly fine with it.

How does your world/party/character treat Tieflings? Just another race or horrible deamon spawn?and how do you pronounce it?
>>47146757
Fuck you, It's teff-ling.
>>47146757
Currently playing a tiefling in my group. I'm mostly treated in character as an omen to be avoided and mistrusted, but I keep out of everyone's hair and my money is still good. It also helps that I can play voice of reason to the boisterous Drow face of the party, so I seem tame by comparison. Plus being charismatic and intelligent helps. Got bullied pretty hard by the knights of the barony we're in though. I comfort myself with the thoughts of their families being dragged across thousands of blades by Nightmares while they watch once I rule them. Did I mention that this was a secretly evil party?
Also it's pronounced_the game_

In settings where elves are allergic to iron, does that mean they have copper-based blood like a crab?
>>47142547
In settings where the Fey are portrayed as hating iron, it's because the Fey are otherworldly and not of this reality. Iron is a base metal and heavily contradicts their ethereal nature.
>>47142547
Considering how utterly fucked people with allergy of their own body tissues are, they better be.
Or perhaps that's where the constitution penalty came from. Fucking fey messing around with the forces of evolution...
