My group had exactly that encounter a few months ago, just with no warning (we rocked up to the ruined town it was in from the wrong direction and told it to suck a dick when it demanded respect). We killed it with no casualties and pretty terrible tactics, play it smart and you should be okay.

Ballad Lore (Zells!)
Chevauchee gets some feedback, /sos/ style (we ripped it to pieces)
Jimmy launches off into another pointless side project. Get the popcorn lads.
Song of Swords is a realistic fantasy tabletop RPG that draws inspiration from historical fechtbuchs, weapons and armor. Its combat system is fast and it can be used for both fantasy and historical/mundane settings.
Call of the Void is a pulpy sci-fi tabletop RPG about fighting space-nazis and hunting giant whales with harpoons made out of the moon. Its combat system is more modern, based in the early 20th century, but can probably handle combat up to the present day.

Anathema to the core mechanical design; The entire purpose of the 3d6 roll under is to use the bell curve to its predictable outcomes.

The storms still raging around this patchwork monster of a ship, cannons are still firing, and screams still fill the night air. Hell I can barely hear myself think in the current volley of noise. Wind and rain blows against me, nearly blowing my cap off.
I yelp and hold it down, and glare up at our prisoner as he turns around with a glint in his eye.
"Did I say you could stop moving?" I ask angrily as I raise my revolver up, still holding my hat down as I'm being pelted by rain "Keep going"
He growls, his messy beard looking like a bunch of tentacles as his black eye almost shines in the candle light.
"Awww, don't be so sour Boss" Jack says teasingly, practically prancing besides the man "You lasted much longer than I thought you would"
"Shut up" the big man growls as he stomps down the hall "God you're even more annoying than you were before, if that was even possible"
"Oh please you just don't have any taste, like the rest of these brutes" Jack yawns, holding and folding his arms on the back of his head "I mean honestly, how can you sail this thing around, at least have some dignity"
"Also how the hell does it even float, you barely put the ships together, honestly it looks like you just nailed and roped it in place and hoped it would stay together" Yotshi says angrily, looking furious about the mere fact this floating fortress even exists
"Uuuh" the man says, stopping and nearly leaping into the air as I run into him, pressing my revolver into his back "AIIIIII!"
"Does it really matter?" I ask tiredly, barely turning to look over at yotshi as I try and catch up with our prisoner as he starts to jog down the hall way, whimpering like a child "we just need to break it, and besides, its no stranger than what me and Jack can do"

One time I was accused of cheating on my physics final in college. Not that I was copying other people's work, that I was colluding with other students around me to allow them to copy my work. I didn't even know or talk to these people but apparently they were copying my answers without my knowledge. My friends had a big falling out in college because friend A let friend B copy his answers, but when it came to the final friend B wouldn't let friend A copy because of the risk involved.
Personally, I think they're both pretty retarded, now.

Back when I played 3.5e there was a guy who called anyone who made sensible decisions about characters tryhards and munchkins.
If you build a character that's capable of surviving a single encounter at his level, you're a munchkin. He was pure 3d6-in-order, and was more about ideological purity than fun or results.

Imagine what a gorilla sufficiently enraged could do.
Also, humans are rarely considered one of the "weakest" races. They're typically depicted as the base standard that the rest use as the measuring point, because they're the race we're most innately familiar with. A human with +0 strength and a Morxie with -2 strength is the same as a human with +2 strength and a Morxie with +0 strength. Don't get hung up on your personal perceptions, and stop thinking that a human should have more impressive feats of strength than a race that's statistically stronger. That don't make sense any which way you cut it.

You are Sonia Reynard, Baron of Rioja. One small world among many in the House of Jerik-Dremine. From it you control the fates of a dozen others in the so called Smuggler's Run. With your new position you have the opportunity to become one of the most influential people in your House.
It is from this world that you draw your fleets and armies from. Both have seen their share of action with anti-piracy actions, the battle of Magdalena, and the recent lightning offensive into Bonrah space. Elements are returning from capital after a short deployment with the House main fleets.
As the Dominion slips deeper into civil war you and those under your command have been fighting to protect your little corner of known space. The war has returned to the DRH1 Relay as you and your allies took advantage of temporary weakness shown by House Bonrah. You don't know if this will accelerate plans of theirs and House Nasidum to invade the area early in the next year. At the very least it will deny them an existing supply base for their fleet when it arrives.
Knight Captain Katherine Drake is your fleet's Wing Commander and is overseeing the squadrons stationed in former Bonrah space hunting raiders.
Uyi Rna is the General of your Army and has been overseeing occupation efforts on recently captured planets and outposts. This is expected to be only temporary as the newly formed Houses build up their forces.
Wiremu Tama is the admiral of your Fleet. He's been acting as an adviser and helping to coordinate use of starfighter forces in recent battles.
Fadila Saqqaf is your leading diplomatic adviser. Her connections helped stir up dissent on worlds loyal to Bonrah. Now she's busy trying to help shore up those that have replaced them.
