Easy. Take into consideration all of the fucked up parts of nature. This is how the God of Life intended for it to be (For added effect, you could have him be responsible for undeath too - dragging the dead back into life). Originally, there was no death - he wanted everything to suffer in his garden of creation.
Then rolled around the God of Death. Seeing all that was wrong with the world, he established an order that would inevitably free every single individual from their torture: mortality. The 00tn2 guy explained it on /vg/ or /v/ or somewhere back when he was doing DkS2 stuff, supposedly it's a reference to the Japanese concept of "joubutsu". IIRC it's something like, in Japanaese Buddhism ghosts are bound to the material plane by regrets, and you exorcise them by helping them fulfil their wishes so they can enter Nirvana. Something like that, anyway.

This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a twelve year old boy named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.
>Rules
At the end of each update you'll have ten minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.
In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins
Rolls will be used on certain occasions, such as attempting a technique for the first time or attempting something extremely difficult. You will have three rolls, and if one succeeds, you succeed. There are no crits.

Eventually, the villagers come out of hiding to address Bulma and Goku. Bulma asks around for more of the "dragonballs" she's looking for, but nobody seems to know anything.
However, an elderly woman eventually steps forward, producing a similar looking object with six stars on it.
"I have one just like the one you have," she tells Bulma.
"Can I see it?" the blue-haired girl asks.
"Certainly," the elderly woman says before holding the ball toward her.
"Wow, the six star ball," Bulma says cheerfully. "Would you give it to us?"
"I'm not going to give this away," the elderly woman responds. "It's been in my family for generations!"
Bulma looks down, thinking. "Hmm...would you give it to us if we stopped Oolong, got the girls back, and restored your village to a peaceful state?"
"Now hold on, I may be old but I'm not gullible," the woman says as Goku approaches her.
The monkey-tailed boy stares at her for a moment before suddenly patting her between the legs.
"Oh! You must be a girl!" Goku says with a grin.
The old woman looks away, blushing. "My..what a randy boy!"
Bulma comes up beside Goku and punches him in the head.
"ARE YOU CRAZY?! PLEASE STOP DOING THAT!"

So other than Food Fight, how many of you have actually spent time talking about how your character shops? Do you have a favourite store, do you get stuff delivered by drone daily, do you schlep out to Snohomish farmer's markets for some real peaches for that special someone? I find people just fill out the 'lifestyle' line of their character sheet and almost never detail what happens next.

My name is Cecile, and I'm sixteen years old. I already thought my life was odd, what with my parents having moved halfway across the country for their new job and leaving me in the care of my older sister... but then my best friend went and had a book shipped to my house that ended up giving me superpowers.
After a mostly fun day at a not-quite-amusement park, our good times have been shot right to hell by Irene's informing us of Faceless's latest move. Because of course I can't have a single day pass without SOMETHING bad happening.
We've (probably) stopped my father from doing anything stupid, it looks like Irene and Theresa are going to be helping out with this current situation with Faceless, and now we're finally back at the hotel.
Christ I'm tired.

While the sisters catch up with the day's events, I drag myself into the living room and collapse on the couch. Not wanting to sacrifice this most wonderful of positions, I lift my eyelids and bend the light around to my eyes so that I can see without moving the rest of my body.

General rules:
There is a 10 minute voting period after each post. Non-contradictory votes will be combined as best as possible.
Write-ins for all votes are always welcome and encouraged. They may not all make it into the post or be altered to fit in, but I'll do my best to at least try to address the spirit of the write-in.
Very important or contentious votes may be redone in a stricter voting system as it comes up.
Combat involves rolls! Once there's a clear vote winner, we roll for the move accuracy/crit/secondary effect. Usually it's just three 1d100s. Sometimes you can get a modifier from circumstances, so be creative! Add flair, do tricks with moves, mess with terrain, whatever! This is not a video game.

Geno’s Altaria keeps steady as the poison begins to take it’s toll.
This one isn’t like his others. It lacks the keen, hard look in it’s eyes. But that doesn’t make it any less threatening.
Nibbles flexes. He’s take a few solid hits and just used Protect to stall. He’s a champ when it comes to taking abuse, though. Heavy damage doesn’t seem to slow him down one bit. If anything, he gets stronger.
“A wise move, but you can’t stall forever, Kat.” He reaches for a Pokeball. You remember that Altaria’s ability is Natural Cure. He might be switching. Or he might just be bluffing to make you drop your guard.
It’s risky. Unless he uses a very weak move, Nibbles could be knocked out.

Hey guys, I'm broke but I love to play D&D/Pathfinder. I don't have a lot of miniatures, but I've been experimenting with some paper ones. These guys came off a printout from a free download, but the same company doesn't seem to have a lot of stuff besides generic enemies. Since this painted bottlecap base seems to be working out okay, I'd like to build up a collection for use as PCs and NPCs as well as mobs and minions. Anyone know where I can find some decent-looking paper minis for cheap or free?
