What do you guys think of Spellweaver?
In my experience, it's close enough to Magic that it was easy to learn. I like the inclusion of a speed stat for creatures. And if you've ever been mana-screwed, the "divine offering" button in spellweaver let's you put a card from your hand on the bottom of your deck, and then search the top 5 cards for a mana.
If you already play, have a game with me some time. My handle is "Sirrush". If you you haven't played yet, give it a try. You can spend money to get cards, but the game is free and you get more cards just by playing. If you give my friend code "AHRLYT" you'll get an extra 75,000 gold to start with. Packs of cards cost 12,500 and starter decks cost 50,000 gold.

Do you like zombies? Cause we got zombies for days!
Why should I play this over hex or any of the other digital card games I actually have heard of?
also fuck you for shilling your referral code, that's a bit low
>>47244022
Though OP is a shill, game is still solid. First time I felt like the game designers had played magic, and noted the fucking broken cards... then made balanced versions. Meta is a bit overrun with the memerhino equivalent, but... it is fine and fairly balanced.
I Mostly play WWR creatureless dragonfire reflection combo. Though I have been messing with a lulzy WOC reanimator toolbox deck.
Looking forward to the next part of the set dropping next month... should have a million gold and tons of packs by then.

Submerge them in a caustic substance that will immediately disintegrate any chance of regeneration.
>>47242622
Depends on the mechanism of their undying nature.
If they just have, like, wolverine-tier regeneration or something, toss them in a volcano or put them in a lead casket and dump them at the bottom of the ocean. Let them be immortal down there, out of the way for the next few thousand years at least.
If they are a Lich or equivalent, find and destroy the source of their power.
In general, finding a way to bind or destroy his soul usually does the trick. May require working with angels or demons to accomplish.
If they are a Doro-style immortal, you are fucked. Flat out, 100%, no win scenario. So just stay out of their way.
Hey /tg/, I've recently been taking a huge interest in Warhammer 40k. I'm crazy about the lore and would really like to get into painting miniatures but have no idea where to start as far as which paints to get, what I'll need, a good set to start with, etc. Any advice?
>>47242537
as with all things in life
>do what feels right to you
>paint what you want, how you want
>choose what calls to you
unless you just want to win, in which case play eldar.
Well first off just do it. If its something you are interested in then give it a shot.
Go in and choose a model kit and choose the colours you want to paint it in and then give it a go.
Usually LGS or Games workshops will be able to give you some information regarding painting.
Its not hard to start but dont be upset that you are not amazing when you first start. Keep going.
When painting use the tip of the brush, paint using small strokes and then clean the brush off in water each time.
There are plenty of guides on youtube so start from there
>>47242537
Remember to thin your paints.
In your setting, what does it generally take to be called the "world's most dangerous man/woman"? Who, if anyone, currently holds that title?
be the most dangerous

Chronicles of Darkness lads
It's that time of the year again boys and girls, where I actually have time to run a Civ thread!
NOTE - All possible choices for race will have a similar starting tech level/strength at start (With the obvious exception of the more tech-y boys and girls), assume that the 'first-world' tech level is on par with medieval times.
So, I'd like to include a few disclaimers here -
1.) Many, MANY parts of my writing get NSFW fast, it's pretty hard to go without that
2.) I always reserve the right to ignore idiots
3.) Shitty decisions -> Shitty Consequences
4.) Piggy-backing on 3, if you come up with good ideas you will be REWARDED. (Unless you sick fucks like punishment then do what you will.)
4.) Always assume the first thread will be a one-shot unless we get a good audience going. I love running civs for 2-3 people, but ideas get stagnant if we don't have fresh faces joining somewhat often.Don't you think spoilers make great separation lines? Move along.
NOW THEN! On to the main attraction -
VOTING - Please only give the SPECIES you wish to play. That's species, NOT THE LOCATION.

So, recently when throwing game concepts back and forth with one of my players and talking about odd (but amusing) genre mashups, one that came up was 'space opera'+'shonen anime'. And really, by that, we meant the whole fighting-with-crazy-powers genre. I know Dragonball technically goes into space opera territory sometimes, but I would not really go as far as to say Dragonball is PRIMARILY a space opera, as it is more of a kung fu serie with some sci-fi elements mixed with the fantasy.
I'm trying to think up what the concept could be expanded into. I know I want to do a space opera setting that is definitely on the soft sci-fi end and with a somewhat retro bent (think more Star Wars, Dune or Metabarons) mixed with characters duking it out fighting anime style with (space?) swords, (space?) guns and (space?) kung fu. One idea I loosely had was to have the power source somehow based off some spatial phenomena but what exactly....well, beats me. Gravity? I don't know, throwing ideas at the wall here.
Have some Frazetta for a pic.

Assuming zombies, in this instance, are the types that are biologically still alive, how much damage could they endure before it would eventually overcome them?
By this I mean that typically you see zombies that are missing large portions of their bodies or have their organs falling out or parts of their body missing up to the bones so would a "living" zombie that was incapable of self-preservation be able to last any real length of time in such a state?
Define real length of time. If you want living infected zombies i would just go with PcP endurance.
>>47240145
>the types that are biologically still alive
So, 28 Days Later rage-zombies?
Well, let's look at a real-world condition called Congenital Analgesia; basically, some people are born without the ability to feel pain. Sounds like a super-power, right?
Those people basically never make it to 30 and have to be watched constantly as kids because their bones get fucked up pretty fast, they never learn to, like, NOT put their hands on hot things etc. They don't roll over in their sleep, which is more important than it sounds. I think your zombies would be in a similar position. They're going to not realise that they're fucking themselves up by, say, running through shitty terrain and fucking up their legs and ankles. And you can bleed to death from a broken leg pretty easy, so, you know, that sucks.
>>47242413
That and they'd tear through their own ligaments and tendons pretty quickly since they don't feel the pain of muscle strain telling them to stop putting all of their strength into something. One might be able to tear a door down with his bear hands, but he'll break his arms to uselessness doing it.
Is it viable to for a game to change gameplay based on certain character options?
>>47239604
Weird I was just watching the speedpaint of that pic yesterday.
>>47239604
no
>>47239604
Yeah, that's pretty much what character options do.

Samson finds himself quite appreciating the calming effects of a nice cup of tea as he mulls over his recent life decisions. 'What am I doing,' he thinks to himself as he sails to Nevasa Island. 'I'm not some... Grand military leader, or anyone qualified to slay a sea mob. I'm a bard who studied some magic in college!' His anxiety grows, despite the tea's best efforts, as he continues to get lost in his anxiety towards the position he's been thrust into. Attempting to put his responsibility into perspective beyond his own doubts, he thinks to himself of Millicent and Norman's parents. He couldn't do well to disappoint them by failing as the leader of their kids, could he? Or his cat, Tiltyu, she's with those two. Of Dinah's desire to return to Alder someday, of Adam's and Edwyg's desires to live in Holmstead. His father just wants to return home, and Fabrice serves the crown with no wearer of Noba loyally... He's the one who delayed their desires by refusing to cooperate with the Dories, so he can't rest without stamping them out!

Dyrus, meanwhile, has far less on his mind, not having the burdens of a deceased mother and leadership thrust upon him in a terrible situation. Still, though, he plays his part in the very same fight against the Empire, as his mother's resistance forces and the Vautou raiders cooperate and reach the doorstep of Fort Reptor.
Capturing it is... Unnervingly easy, with not a single Imperial mage striking them. Paisley warns his lot and Hauteclere's of what's to come. If there's no soldiers in this fort, then it means they already fled, which means that Director Cato is already aware of this group's advance.
Dyrus' mother and grandfather order their men to secure this fort to the best of their ability. Director Cato could be upon them any time, after all.
You are now Dyrus.

Ah, yes, of course. You're riled for a fight, so you're the first one to volunteer to patrol the area around Fort Reptor just in case fight breaks out. Accompanying you for this stretch, Doran.
"You ain't gonna sing again, are you?" He asks, less than pleased you were paired together. "I'd... Really rather not deal with it."
"Relax," you assure him, "that's me and Via's thing! You don't even look like you'd have a good singing voice."
"I 'ave the pipes of a damned angel, kid! Watch yer' fuckin' mouth!" The archer snaps once more.
"Alright, jeez," you say, sighing. "You're kind of a jerk, you know?"
"Yeah, I noticed."
Your patrol shift goes rather plainly after that, with neither of you speaking for awhile.
"...I, er, appreciate you savin' me and my mates from Sasha," he says. "I know you know it, but... I still been a right prick."
"Why're you bringing this up?" You ask.
"Well, is' just... I wouldn' be fightin' out here if I didn't appreciate it, kid. I know you lost a pal to those pirates too, so I can't even say you don't know what I been through."

Whats every day life like for your average guy on Holy Terra? Sharing 1 square mile with over 1 billion other people who live above, below and neighbour you? Do they live in squalor? Fight for food? Crime? Pollution? Is joining the IG and dealing with the Hells they witness really a step up from living and the only way to escape Terra?

it'd explain why some Imperial Guard aren't so bothered about the hostile environments they find themselves in.
I've been thinking about trying a quest similar to pic related for my gaming group sometime. Either where they have to defend some NPC by looking at facts and finding inconsistencies in someone's abili or having them be more like a detective. What do you think? What would be a good way to run this?
>>47238020
Well, I can tell you it'd take considerable planning and writing on your part. Coming up with a good murder mystery is no small feat, and coming up with one involving over-the-top characters like in Ace Attorney is an even bigger one.
That said, if you did it right, I could see it being pretty fun. You wouldn't need much in the way of stats or anything, so long as it was all based on logic and dialogue like the games. So long as everyone has a well-defined character, and you provide them with well-defined NPCs and present the clues in a deliberate, logical fashion, the game should all but run itself.

>Coming up with a good murder mystery is no small feat,
Which is why you use one which is already created. Thats what they did with the big Lebowski. I'd use one of the Humphry Bogart ones, or maybe the ones from a foreign program, like Montalbano.
