Wow, it's like some people have double standards or something!
More news at eleven.
>>47459534
What a faggy offsite writing style. There's no revelation to be had, this where you bitch about it. That's like saying someone just discovered people can be asshats because they posted a That Guy story.
>holy shit that smells
>durr it smelled yesterday
>yep, and it's fucking assaulting my nose today
>>47459730
Then why don't you do something about it instead of bitching about it on mongolian throat singing board?
Are nuns more paladin, cleric or monk in D&D terms?
>>47459467
What do you think?
Classically Cleric, but Paladin or Monk battle-nuns are both awesome in my book.
They are more innocent bystander like, unless you want them not to be.
How much more powerful would a D&D 3.pf Fighter be if he received all fighter feats by default, even if he'd still be behind a druid?
>>47459416
Give him a boost early on and he'd be the best martial combatant in the group. Some of those later-level feats are pretty gnarly.
Once you get into high levels though it won't make much of a difference. He can have every single archery-related feat in the CRB but it'll do jack dick for him if he opts to just use a two handed sword all the time. The best it'll do is give him more options.
>>47459416
All fighter feats as in core ones or just all throughout all supplements?
For the first one still shit. They're mostly +1-4's that apply to different things
For supplements you're kind of an insane killing machine that can't be stopped my illusions or any sort of magical protection
>>47459416
I would instead give them the ability to make feats that have a specific weapon choose (Weapon focus/spec) be generalized to weapons they have prof with. So weapon focus beco n es a blank +1 with a fighter versus only long bow for a ranger.
This way if a weapon is randomly rolled is great, but doesn't match the 5 feats he's already spent it's not a faaaaark situation.
Has there been any development towards a Kill Six Billion Demons homebrew?
I am assuming GURPS but some of the esoteric functions of the setting I imagine would be difficult to fluff out.
Angels and Demons would be strictly relegated to NPCs and not really for hostile encounters unless the party is at higher levels.
I think pcs would be humans as I am finding it hard to see how they could play a monster effectively but that could be my own lack of imagination.
The party would start as a subject of one of the seven Lords in Throne as a plain nobody. They could have affiliatons with one of the guilds but not be members.
I am trying to figure out how to start them off but all I can come up with is in a bazaar (i.e. taven) or simply being mercenaries hired by a lord to go knock another lord's stuff over.
As for classes I have beggar-monk, gun witch, swordsman, pit fighter, paladin, mystic, berserker, and chanter. I am at different stages of development for each class mostly plagiarizing 3.5e.
There are a few spells and abilities from the comics but haven't made much progress beyond that. I am willing to take from other systems but havent really found anything that fits a setting where there is really powerful magic out there that only a minute portion of beings have access to.

Yech, 3.5 DnD is not an appropriate gateway to adapting the setting
youre much better of fusing something better suited, like GURPS
They're already working on an official RPG, I think using *World, which seems like a better basis than D&D or GURPS, IMO.
It's time to empty out those dice bags, /tg/. Go to your gaming table if you have one, spill the contents of your dice bag, and take a picture. If you don't have a gaming table, the closest flat surface will do. No cleaning up!
Others will rate whatever they see.
Also a general dice thread.
>>47458654
It seems you have all the dice you'd practically need and almost all in good condition.
>>47458782
Probably because most of them are new.
As a sidenote, I should probably get more D6's though for dicepool games like Shadowrun. But we haven't started playing SR yet, so I'm in no rush. Also found out that translucent with white text was the worst purchase ever, they're impossible to read, especially in poor lighting.
Post dice, faggots. I want to see dice.

So I'm running a roll20 gurps game. Dark medieval fantasy, bunch of dark magic rolling around, party is a group of troubleshooter for the army.
Chapter 1 has concluded. The party has headed off the invasion of Gorgoth (the forbidden kingdom), defeating the dark sorcerers who were teleporting in plague infected scouts ahead of the beastmen army. They liberated the ruins of Glardenfen, and the Alliance army if Men, Elves and Dwarves have setup a solid camp there. The fort is being rebuilt, and regular patrols now secure the border.
[Sorry for the map size]
>>47458531
>Human kingdom
>Elven kingdom
ech
>>47458531
They've now been redispatched out to infiltrate the line, and slip down to a ruined tower keep in Gorgoth. There, they should find the Ansible of the Spirits; a mighty artifact the Elves used to cursed the dark kingdom, and end the last war 200 years ago
A few players took the opportunity to fully enlist in the army, receiving a commission and equipment for low officers. Otherwise they're re-equipping and loading up pack horses to make the journey South.
Mostly I'm posting here for feedback on this map; the blasted wasteland and dead forests of Gorgoth. A dying land riddled with cancerous beasts and demonic posessions.
Thoughts? First impressions?
Doing a Futuristic setting. How many presidents should I say have came and gone into office in 500 years? We've had 45 president so far, soon to be 46, in just 240 years so how many presidents would you say they'll be five hundred years from now? Would making him the 100th president improbable even when taking one term, 2 term, and assassinations into account?

The way things are going I'll be surprised if it gets to 60.

One day Timur was in the mood for teasing Nasreddin Hodja.
- `Hodja,' he asked, `can you teach your donkey how to read?
- `Yes I can Great Timur.'
- `Come now Hodja! How can you teach a donkey to read?'
- `If you give me three years time and 3000 gold coins, then I can teach my donkey how to read.' the Hodja was adamant.
- `But if in three years time, your donkey cannot read, then I will punish you most severely for trying to mock the Great Timur.'
Nasreddin Hodja and Timur agreed on the terms, the Hodja took the 3000 gold coins and left Timur's luxurious tent. Hodja's friends who witnessed the deal were incredulous.
- `Hodja Effendi, what did you do? You know you can't teach a donkey anything other than braying. Three years later Timur will have your head chopped off!' However, Nasreddin Hodja was not worried.
- `My dear fellows,' he said calmly, `before three years are up, either I will die or Timur will die. Or, the donkey will die!'

You've had 43.
I have 2 copies of Archangel Avacyn
and 3 copies of Nahiri, the Harbinger.
Is it wierd if I make a W/R deck with both of them in it?
How does that make you feel?
>>47458060
Well sounds like a bombass draft deck but I don't know how legal mythics are in pauper. Also if you're building a midrange deck out of them you might want to try other decks in the archtype, legacy has a lot available to you.
>>47458100
I never said what format it would utilize.
This includes things like total party killed, or games which in any way went horrifically wrong.
I'll start.
>Playing Curse of Strahd
>level 1 party
>Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Bard
>No one thought healing potions were worth it with the meager starting gold
>Enter house
>Encounter a few enemies, no big deal.
>Encounter a new enemy, and suddenly things start going wrong
>Paladin charges new enemy, does some damage but gets his shit pushed in
>Rogue has same problem
>Paladin and Rogue both flee
>Ranger is rolling shit, can't hit enemy
>Ranger and Bard both flee
>Rogue is hiding under bed, enemy doesn't find him, so enemy continues to chase the party
>Paladin flings open the front door
>a very spooky fog has filled the entirety of the outside world. Leaving looks to be a very bad idea
>Paladin nopes out of the house
>Ranger and Bard running away from the enemy shooting crossbows but not doing much damage when they actually manage to not roll shit
>Rogue still hiding because he's a pussy
>Enemy corners the Bard, they engage in melee while the Ranger continues to shoot at enemy with mixed results
>Bard isn't doing so hot
[ctd 1/2]
>>47457992
[ctd 2/2]
>Rogue finally runs out of hiding with a molotov
>Rogue MISSES HIS THROW and the molotov explodes against the WOODEN WALL behind the Bard
>Fire damage and the enemy down Bard
>Ranger rushes forward and FINALLY takes down the enemy
>Ranger drags Bard out of fire, and he and Rogue put out fire with water they find, and using blankets to beat out the remaining fire
>Both take fire damage, Rogue goes down, Ranger is barely up
>Ranger stares at everything around him, opens the front door, and looks outside
>Paladin is lying dead outsidethe fog is still everywhere, leaving is definitely not an option
>DM has been laughing the entire time at how disastrous this first game has been and how bad our dice have been
>Ranger decides "fuck it"
>Ranger uses heavy crossbow to coup de grace the down Bard and Rogue
>Ranger opens front door and does the same with the Paladin for good measure
>Ranger drops his heavy crossbow and moonwalks outside to meet his fate
>Total party killed
>A new adventuring party soon thereafter discovers the corpses

With a budget of three hundred gold pieces, how could a balanced and otherwise fully equipped level one party defeat a giant?
>hardmode
No offensive casting.
>>47457097
300 gold pieces per player, or 300 gold total? Also how many party members?
>>47457134
Let's say four members, 300gp total, not including whatever armour/weapons/gear the players would already have at character creation.
It would probably be enough to rent or buy a siege engine and hire experienced engineers to run it, all they need to do then is lure the giant into a choke point and trap him there while they giant gets shot at.
Or you could do it the old fashioned peasants way and buy a favorite meal of the giant, for example a cow, and stuff it with various kinds of toxic and poisonous herbs, liquids and potions and then leave it close to its lair.

>One of my PCs is the king of a small-ish nation
>His wife the queen is expecting a child
>They haven't had a formal party since their wedding (even that was small and rushed) due to now-imminent threats of war
>Queen's sister wants to have a baby shower to cheer them up
I thought about just mentioning this happen offscreen, but the PCs are into the idea and want to feature it in-game and in-character. There's always "the enemy nation's assassins attack during the party," but that's obvious and cliched. How can I make this fresh?
