A) Change what it means to be a lich so it's not just evil wizards willing to sacrifice their humanity to attain immortality, thus letting good wizards become liches too.
B) Make the lich remorseful; 1000 years of loneliness tends to drive them mad, but there's always the chance a lich would swing the other way and realize "hey maybe other people are actually worth hanging out with and I should be less of a dick to them." He probably won't be great at doing good, but he's trying!

I think Menace and Skulk combine in a somewhat interesting way. The only ones it doesn't work great with are Deathtouch and Flash.

Literally a dead mechanic if you go up against a deck with cards of the same color, literally the best combat evasion mechanic if you go up against a deck with cards that don't share the same color and don't use artifact creatures.

Having cards that are only effective when your opponent plays specific colors harks back to the era of Circle of Protection, Boil and other ridiculous sideboard hosers. It's not modern magic.

Sup /tg/, have some thoughts.

The discrepancy between Tabletop Space Marines and Fluff Marines has been niggling at me. So I want them to match up a bit, without nearing the power level of the Movie Marines. Just something near there, and here.

I've jotted down the main changes I would make in order to beef up Space Marines a bit and make them feel like a more specialized, elite army like they're portrayed in the Fluff.

I've worked out most of the changes I'd make, but what I'm struggling with are the points costs. There are some pretty big changes, and everything involved is a buff, so pretty much the army would need point adjustments, otherwise they'd probably be too OP. Definitely looking for feedback.

Anyway here's the current list of changes.

I've rambled a fair bit so I'll have the changes in the next post.

General Changes:
All Space Marines with 1 attack in their statline get 2.
Chainswords (not close-combat weapons) gain Shred. Any model that can purchase a close combat weapon can purchase a chainsword for 2 points.
Boltguns and Bolt Pistols gain Rending.
Heavy Bolters become Salvo 3/4 Rending, Pinning
Assault Cannon becomes Heavy 6, Rending
Terminator Armour confers +1 Toughness, +1 Strength
Veteran Sergeant upgrade confers +1 Wound.
Twin-Linked Lascannons equipped by Tank units and Walkers gain alternate firing mode:
S7 AP3 Heavy 1, Blast

Unit changes:
Space Marine in a Tactical Squad equipped with a heavy weapon gains the Splitfire special rule.
Assault Marines are automatically equipped with Chainswords.
Devastator Squads get the special rule Fire Team.
Fire Team: Any Devastator not equipped with a Heavy weapon may choose to forgo their shooting attack in order to give a Heavy weapon in the squad twin-linked for the current shooting phase.
Terminators: Tactical Terminator squads gain +1 BS. Assault Terminators gain +1WS. Deathwing Terminators gain +1 BS and +1 WS. Deathwing Knights gain +1 BS.
Veterans: Sternguard Veterans gain +1 BS. Vanguard Veterans gain +1 WS, come equipped with Chainswords by default. Dark Angels Company Veterans select one upgrade for the squad.
Predator Autocannon becomes Heavy 4

RPG with fast narrative combat, mostly like a back and forth between the player and gamemaster with fast resolution, is there something like this?

Google angry gm. He has a whole schtik on combat pacing.

The tldr version of his articles- during combat he asks for what the pc does. If there isn't an immediate answer the pc essentially looses a turn.

Really depends on the players. In my groups, some of my friends think ahead, and are ready to go with their actions. Others, have to stare down, re re re read their character sheets, and hum and hah over what becomes just a half action aim and single shot.

The lizard people are technologically advanced, having spent most of their lives in seclusion from the world due to geographical conditions. I've talked about it a couple times over the past week, I think; I'm playing an 8th Gen Brujah poncy asshole in a group with an 8th Gen Caitiff Private Investigator, a 12 Gen Ventrue Doctor, Caitiff Nurse(whose Domain is the hospital she and the Ventrue work at), and Gangrel(whose Domain is the city block he lives on).

We're playing in Chicago, in the 90s, and my ST is relying heavily on the 1e Chicago By Night book, based on the glancing I did at the wiki and the fact that he wants Tyler to be my Sire(because apparently adding in another 7th Gen to the area would screw up all the politics, and despite her only really fitting in terms of what her Generation is--I had a write-up for how my dude's Embrace went down, and I'm not sure she's really the type to stalk a guy for a few weeks, then step in to offer him the Embrace when he gets stabbed in an alley and left for dead)

Currently running a 2e Mage game, with an Acanthus, Obrimos, and Moros. Last/First session consisted of them meeting each other properly as a Cabal for the first time, then chasing down an android for killing a guy and taking his clothes. The Obrimos and Moros double-teamed him with some Forces and Matter spells to cut his power for a bit, then melt his joints into place so he couldn't move.

Next session is gonna start with them walking him into the Obrimos's Sanctum, as the nanobots in his 'blood' start to fix his joints

Last time on Maticico corporation remnant our attempts to lay mines went(very) poorly. While we became ground 0 for a zombie super horde the likes of which wasn't seen since the Fall and a coalition of powers united to fight them. Leaving our homeground utterly devastated but now quite rich in psi materials. Meanwhile an 'utterly' insane AI was acquired and we offered up a base devoted to itself.

In exchange it has promised to prepare a hero unit for us and 'upgraded' some of our units. In addition our forces looked into the fallen bandit city only to find out out a horrifying secret that will shake the lands around us and possibly even far beyond. Hopefully we can survive what is coming or even take advantage...

So yeah lot has happened.

Shinobi Quest #10

This quest takes place within the lands of the Five Great Shinobi Nations (aka Narutoverse) starting roughly around the beginning of the original series. The world of this quest remains similar to the original, with slight but notable differences in certain areas, based upon the passage of time from a single slightly altered event.

“The Hokage didn’t make the choice lightly. All ninja spend a few missions chasing cats, Tsuki. Just because you think you are above it, doesn’t mean you are. And besides- I hated cats. Still do.
Anyway, excuse us.” he says. He wraps his hands around the Hokage’s waist- then *poof!*- both them of have vanished!”

Is that some sort of jutsu? Interesting.
