You hop out of the ring, going to check on the girl you just beat.

She looks stunned, taking a moment to fix herself up before getting back up. The referee throws her clothes to her, and she gets dressed again, glancing in your direction.

"I hope you aren't expecting a kiss," Ranfan tells you.

Even reading for nearly an hour by the light of the pale, silvery moon, sleep was hard to come by. Driven by some restless mania, you soon find yourself stalking the deserted corridors of the Nameless Temple, acutely aware of the unfamiliar faces sleeping safe behind locked and shuttered doors. The Emperor, Sho Tatsuhiro, keeps a further layer of protection between himself and the world – a soldier, loaded down with a heavy rifle and a broad-bladed sword. You pass that lonesome sentinel by without drawing his attention, noting how sleepy his eyes looked.

Against a determined attacker, one who was fast and ferocious, that guard would barely pose a challenge. Perhaps it's a show of trust, a token gesture towards security for the sake of appearances alone. Even so, it's a sorry state of affairs.

Skulking ever onwards, you find yourself travelling the well worn path to the Mentor's chambers. Once, you would have sought out his guidance whenever you could, but that old habit has long since left you. It's hard to see him in the same way – as a wise master who could do no wrong – now that you know about him, his past crimes and his inaction. Still, you'll be dealing with his old friend soon enough – it's well worth seeing what the old man has to say about that. Even if he just washes his hands of the whole matter, it's good to know for sure.

The first thing you notice, as you draw near the Mentor, is how tired he looks. It's not the weariness of defeat, but simple human exhaustion. Perhaps he notices your gaze, for a smile touches his lips. “The Emperor has a very... active mind,” the old man explains, “I find his presence to be somewhat... tiresome.”

Well, you reply, most people do. But, perhaps, the less you say about that the better...

Not often since leaving the city. Her father has probably sent a party out to find her, but she'll return when she's finished her quest.

In Avernmon there is a small hole-in-the-wall place in the market called Treasure Trove. They make a mixed drink called Copperbottom that Charlotte has not yet braved.

She has a knack for birdwatching and calls, it's been a hobby of hers for a few years now.

Being a country-boy unused to the hustle and bustle of cities, the concept of a beggar is something foreign to him. While I imagine he'd be fine with giving a few coins to the beggars that ask, he wouldn't go out of his way to look for them.

Of course! Every bard needs some patronage! That said, we've got a Diva Bard in our party that often takes the role of playing at whatever locale we're visiting (she's quite the prima donna and prefers working alone.)

As often as he can, which is to say his motivation for adventuring is to reunite with them.

>What is the name of your OC's favorite tavern, and what is the specialty drink there?
The Inn-Between, a hole in the wall located in Durengrad. After having saved the innkeeper from a grisly demise at the hands of a vampire, he has made a specialty drink called the "Dusk Hunter", which is essentially a Black Russian.

For the past year, you've been preparing.

You compared your speed with Goku and Krillin, received lessons from Master Roshi himself, then set out on your own, enduring intense training as you swam across oceans, climbed mountains with a cannonball strapped to your back, fought pirates, bears, and beasts. You've ran across the continent, trained your speed, endurance, and power, and even developed a new technique.

And now, the day you have been preparing for has come at last. The day where you can truly out all of your training to the test. The day where you can find out just how strong you've become.

The day of the World Martial Arts Tournament.

When the sun rises, you've already been up for hours. Bulma told you that registration isn't until late this evening, but you have too much anticipation and energy to sleep.

So, you've gone for a run around West City, passing by the people who are out so early, most of whom stare at you in bewilderment, something you've grown used to in the time you've lived at Bulma's house.

You leap high, landing on the roof of someone's house, and hopping from roof to roof for several blocks before jumping down and running back to Capsule Corporation.

The robots that manage the door have been instructed to let you come and go as you please, so the doors open as you approach.

None of the workers seem to have arrived yet, so the place is pretty empty.

Don't just think about the bugs, think of the enviornmental things. There's a ton of more ways you could twist your parties arms with all sorts of teeny tiny fun.

Acid covered plants for instance, one touch and your hand is caught by a substance as sticky and tough as superglue that starts melting right away and the rest of the plant moves to encase you
