Didn't see a homebrew/map thread. Let's change that. Here's mine, as it currently stands.
Post yours and discus.
I have a hexcrawl I've been crafting I call 'The Southlands'.
It uses the LotFP ruleset and random travel generators I made up.
after a lot of peace in the old world, people looked for a new place for adventure, and they found that in a distant, unexplored land they call the Southlands. It's been 10 years since the first settlers landed, but when the players get there, they found that a bunch of the colonies had some kind of disaster and have lost contact with each other. Players can try to reconnect the colonies, or go out and do their own thing.

I only see one city marker on the map. Is that the kingdom everyone was from or is that the colony?
>>47716127
The map so far with 'fog of war'
I've only run two adventures in it so far, but my main idea is to keep a constant history to it. Both of those adventures (with two different players) happened in the past and have become a part of the games history.
at the moment I've just been trying to populate the world, focusing on just this little area of the world so far.

Last Episode: You entered OLYMPUS and found the resting place of Joy-In-Time. You also discovered that the Joy-In-Hearts' old enemy, the parasitic being known as Misery, is still alive. Hiding within the People of Joy. She's taken control of the rest of the group, and now inhabits the boy of Joy-In-Love. The most powerful Joy-In-Heart of them all.

"So...judging by Gaft and Wren's mental breakdowns," Ray says. "We're in serious trouble."
"Yes." You say. "Yes, we are."
"Is that door going to hold?" Ray asks, pointing at the door leading out to the rest of the complex.
"I have no idea." You say. "But I think if someone tried hard enough and had the power of a goddess, they could get through."
"Wonderful." Ray says. He pauses and looks at Gaft, slumped against the wall. "What do we do with him?"
"Do we need to do anything?" You ask.
Ray nods and points at his eyes. "I can see, he's not dead. Not yet. He is an Accepting, a full one too, he's old but his body's tough. It'll take a while for him to die."
"He's not going to try any tricks, is he?" You ask.
Ray shakes his head. "He's out cold. Body's just trying to keep alive."
You look around, and see a white box attached to the wall. The red cross marks it as a medkit.

We need to know what he knows

With the hundreds, if not thousands, of brands of dice out there. Ranging from the dollar store, to the family board game/monopoly, to the holy shit titanium gold plated lazer etched shit show, what kind does /tg/ prefer
As it stands now I have a GW box of dice, but I'm interested in upgrading to something better in the future for near the same price range, if theres any out there that catch my eye
I also have a couple random dice I picked up at a local vintage game/MtG shop such as a D20 and a D100, just because they where cheap and looked neat to line around the computer but I never use them

I use gamescience. I have been highly satisfied with my purchases.
Do slice of life /tg/ exist?
Like /tg/ that's about everyday life and not magic or killing stuff.
Would you play such a /tg/?
>>47715826
Golden Sky Stories is kind of like that. Ryuutama is a hybrid of adventuring and SoL.
>>47715826
Ryutm-something, the Ghibli one.
Also Maid RPG.
GURPS does everything

So I'm considering running a wild west campaign, but I have no idea what system to use. Does anyone know what works for a good rootin' tootin' western game?
>>47715468
I'm partial to Deadlands myself. The fact the system uses dice, poker chips, and playing cards just adds to the flavor.
>>47715468pathfindernahdogs in the vineyard
>>47715468
Aces and Eights or that other non-deadlands one I can't remember.
How does death work in your setting?
enthusiastically
>>47715420
When they kill you, usually you die, that's how it works
>>47715420
9-5, weekends off, kinda lazy
Does /tg/ have any bare-chested knights with helmets still on?
I have a charcter whose a former knight, but went bloody-crazy during a duel and is now a barbarian. He deflects arrows with his bare chest, but still wears his helmet.
Got any art?
Other than that, character art thread. Will dump.

questions about mccabe:
are wranglers good?
does he work well with ten thunders (specifically yan lo based pieces)?
which upgrades should I give him?
how many guild dogs should I get?
should I team him up with other guild models (guardsman/blacksheep tags)?
I have yan lo and all of the ancestors, 3 ashigaru, 2 samurai and fuhatsu (which never sees daylight since samurai work better than him almost always)
A small fleet of ships has come across the sea bearing explorers of a strange race. They are hairless and have bone chrests on their head. It approaches your country with holes in it's side open, revealing strange iron tubes of some sort and when it lands a force of their warriors comes out quite clearly armed.
What do you do?
>>47712584
Oh shit, Cenobites! I pray for death.
>>47712584
Tatsumaki Senpukyaku.
Obviously.
>>47712584
Some sort of...mutant...coneheads?
What's a name for the type of magic that uses gems/crystals/minerals? I'm thinking of the kind where crystals and gems are the focus for enchantments or fuel for effects.
I remember reading something that gave it a specific name, but I can't find it again.
>What's a name for the type of magic that uses gems/crystals/minerals?
Whatever your character concept is, it's stupid and at best a shallow gimmick.
>>47711877
No OP, but why do you say that? I see nothing wrong with it...
Geomancy perhaps?
What games do you really like but never seem to be able to get anyone else to play with you? I have at least $400 worth of Glorantha books but I have only played about 3 games of it.
>>47711772
I'll play with you, anon
>>47711784
I would love to, but another part of the problem for me is the fact that now I don't really have time to play any games, and I definitely can't play any games over the web due to my soon to be spotty-at-best internet.
Nechronica. Zombie lolis is a hard sell for a lot of normalfags.
Thematically, what distinguishes Greco-Roman/Sword & Sandal fantasy from Germano-Celtic/High fantasy?
>>47710572
The overall aesthetics I guess.
>>47710572
The Olive Line
>>47710572
Religion and philosophy, I'd think. The gods like to meddle, the heroes get bad ends 90% of the time, monsters have a divine background, etc.
