>What the hell is Ops and Tactics and why did you write this?

Ops and Tactics is/was a rework of the terribly awful modern game D20 Modern that produces enough differences in said game to be considered it's own. It's goal was to do the following things
1. Make Combat more fluid and less rigid like the D20/D&D style outright demands.
2. Make it reflect the real attributes of weapons and armor, in a more realistic sense, while being as playable as possible.
3. Make everything else suck less, at least in my opinion.
4. Introduce a more modular way to handle magic, Incantations/Invoking(My own..thing), Psionics, and equipment. There is also a lot of equipment.

1. Combat Points. Combat points are units of measurement that are spent during combat to do various actions that have values. For example, a character could spend all 15 of his combat points running in a straight line, moving 75 feet, gaining a +1 Bonus to defense for ever 10 feet after 30, due to it being implied through the rules that he was running, and shooting at running people is harder. Combat points may be spent however the character wishes, in any combination of actions or attacks(And there are a lot, for both melee and ranged fighters), without any real restriction, so long as what they can do is "legal" and they have enough points.

Why did yugioh die? Magic has been around for almost 20 years or so and is just as popular as ever. Yet yugioh, literally the best selling card game of all time, died after barely 10 years of serious players. I still see it at conventions but NO ONE i know plays anymore.

You are Captain SAMANTHA WELLINGS, a newly minted captain of the Centauri Accord!

Currently, you've arranged a sort of cease fire with Carly, seeing as how she really wanted to see if Artya was okay. So, in the interest of that, you had her brought aboard the Gullinbursti and to the infirmary, where Artya was being kept.

"You're SURE that they didn't hurt you?" Carly asks her masked subordinate for what seems to be the hundredth time.

Artya silently nods again.

I'M TOTALLY FINE. HONEST. Artya writes. She was still dressed in a hospital gown, but she still had her mask firmly planted on her head.

"Just makin' sure." Carly growls as she shoots a suspicious eye at you.

"She's perfectly fine." Natalia assures you sister. "In fact, better than fine. We've treated her immunodeficiency disorder so she'd be able to live a normal life!"

"Pfffft, 'normal' life." Carly rolls her eyes, as if the mere thought was absolutely silly. "But I guess I owe you for that, at least. Except you've just COMPLETELY WRECKED MY SHIP!"

Carly did look rather understandably angry.

You are the head researcher at a government facility. Your sole responsibility is to teach the world's first autonomous AI, nicknamed Pandora, about life, the world and her existence.

Previously you removed the offending hardware that you suspect was giving Pandora her nightmares; a tiny wifi device hidden in her leg. You don't know who did it, but your list of suspects is shortening by the minute.

You checked Ares to make sure Pandora's substantially more dangerous brother wasn't compromised either and he was given a clean bill of health much to your relief.

After making sure everything was alright on their end, you went over to R&D to check on things with the cyborgs only to catch Mouse in the middle of attempting to attack a man twice her size. You calmed her down enough to get her to see reason somewhat, but only until she found someone else to focus her anger on: Snowglobe, whom you then discovered was apparently in possession of a firearm. Something that is very much against the rules of the Facility. Mouse is now accusing him of being the culprit, while he is saying the same of her. Never a dull moment.

General rules:

There is a 10 minute voting period after each post. Non-contradictory votes will be combined as best as possible.

Write-ins for all votes are always welcome and encouraged. They may not all make it into the post or be altered to fit in, but I'll do my best to at least try to address the spirit of the write-in.

Very important or contentious votes may be redone in a stricter voting system as it comes up.

Combat involves rolls! Once there's a clear vote winner, we roll for the move accuracy/crit/secondary effect. Usually it's just three 1d100s. Sometimes you can get a modifier from circumstances, so be creative! Add flair, do tricks with moves, mess with terrain, whatever! This is not a video game. Weak moves tend to be quicker.

Call me out on a mistake and receive an apology butt or suggestive picture.

It's really too early for me to be doing anything, the sky is still grey, and the birds have just started singing. I think besides the priests, and the hivers of course, I'm the only one who's anywhere near awake. I look over my shoulder, as little green trudges alone under me, next to Thas' and his worn down old horse that looks like it's about to keel over any second now.

"I hope it does, he seems like the logical kind, I wouldn't be surprised if he wouldn't hand over the withed dried old thing over to me once it's heart stops to beat" Little green says almost manically as I watch the cart with my friends all piled in it slowly get dragged along behind a very shaggy horse that looks like it's part wolf somehow. Don't even want to think about that. I look around the road we're heading down, we got into the forest around...an hour ago? It's hard to tell time without anyone talking, or you know, a watch. I groan, and lay ontop of Green's head, staring down the row of trees, with overgrown grasses and bushes sticking out of the sides, as what little morning light that can make it's way through the tree tops lights up the path, making it look eerie, like something out of a horror movie, or some place crawling with undead.

Uli hums the tune of to a certain chorus, that I'm pretty sure belongs to one of the verses of the hounds. It's a little hard to tell with the clopping of the horses' hooves on the muddy path, making a weird ringing and shlorping sound with every step they take along.

We still have all day, and thas probably won't let us rest...not that I care, since I can just sleep any time I want to....but still, I wanna go out and explore, Kill goblins and generally terrorize weak monsters for no real reason besides the fact I'm dying of boredom.
