How would you run an encounter with a truly titanic creature? No matter how strong your resident murderhobos are, the mountain sized kaiju won't give a shit about being plinked with measly fireballs or poked by tiny greatswords.
If if had my BBEG intentionally wake one up, send it to the party's home town, and give them a week to prepare, what would TG suggest they do to combat it?
A magical field that generates realistic physics.
Awaken an even bigger titan to fight it.

Alright /tg/ I think its about time I actually committed myself to actually finishing this game. But first things first. Are there any mods that you guys recommend that improve game play, visuals, or otherwise just make the experience better? Especially looking for mods that make characters not look like overgrown potatoes or mods that improve stealth mechanics.
>characters not look like overgrown potatoes
But OP, what's the fun in playing Oblivion then?
I played it again all the way to the end a couple months ago, and I am certain, now more than ever, that the funniest thing are those goofy voices and animations. It's just perfect the way it is.
Well, aside from gameplay of course.
And terrible glitches.
>>48083351
I recommend you go with Morrowind instead. In Oblivion they cut out all the cool lore shit, and in Skyrim they cut out even more. Morrowind kept the cool lore shit.
>>48083447
There are some really good fan made patches which address those, you can find them on nexus and elsewhere.
Rolled 5, 5, 5 = 15 (3d6)

Welcome to the realm of the reborn who are yet unborn.
an array of artifacts stand before you waiting to be chosen by the one who shall inherit their power...
choose wisely (a characteristic having more to do with experience and moral understanding than intelligence= sophia)
if we can liberate the realm of the present, the gods will sing our praises forever, in failure there is only ruin...
is 15 good enough for the primary statistic of a character worth keeping;
something like a bard or paladin may require a much better roll, in addition to receiving the appropriate alignment.
but I guess we do after all play the game that fate bestows upon us, hopefully no too badly...
>>48083186
or perhaps, some few rise to the challenge, of making their own fate, despite what would otherwise be inflicted upon them.

please notice me sempai
it's bretty good

Whole series is pretty damned good. Drags a little bit in NotPersia, but never gets bad.
I liked it quite a bit.
Lore advancement.
How have the citizens of Innistrad fared on their new Eldrazi influenced plane?
>>48081862
Not too well, here, at least.
>>48081862
Never better.
Of the three archangels, only Sigarda retained her non-white color.
I'm assuming that's got something to do with the Eldrazi, seeing how it also twisted Avacyn into Red? Also, well, Brisela.
What are some good rules light games that aren't bound to a specific setting? Extra points for beer and pretzel games that don't need prep time for adventures.

How strong is Liliana Vess?
14 Str
>>48080859
Can bench 130

If you turn her into an artifact and then animate her with March of the Machines, it's anywhere from 3 to 5.
How does alignment fucking work in D&D ?
So imagine there's a healing god and it says that all life is precious, you have to do all you can to help other people, you should never never harm anything and if you somehow end up in a kill or be killed situation, you should just suck it up and martyr yourself up. How would describe its alignment ? LG ?
>>48080131
>How does alignment fucking work in D&D ?
Poorly
>>48080131
>How does alignment fucking work in D&D ?
It doesn't.
>How would describe its alignment ?
True Stupid.
Just like spaces before punctuation.
>>48080131
It works if you don't think about it.
Though, the largest mistake people make with alignment is to base their actions off alignment, not their alignment off of actions.
Hello! And welcome back to the Kolbold Thread! All are welcome, new and old(If you exist still)
Last week we...
>Appointed Doomfang as the latest leader, his mastery of Black-Scale magic being his focus
>Built a (crude) wall!
>Invented Ciphers, Telescopes, Advanced Maths, Crop Rotation and Sickles!
>Enhanced our magic of all scale colors
>Built a furance for the Iron-Stone, and made Steel-Stone!
A load noise was heard though out the Jungle, and after scouting, nothing seemed to be there other than a small tribe of Otter-Folk. This will need to be looked into further...

One of the things that's always bothered me about D&D is that a lot of 'dire' and 'fiendish' animals never really get any mention besides the fact that they exist; the same goes with half-dragon creatures. Sure, there are things like the dracolisk, which are apparently interesting enough to get their own entries, but they're the exception. This thread aims to correct that.
TL;DR either describe fiendish, dire, and/or half-dragon versions of animals or come up with species descended from such creatures, a la the dracolisk.
Drawfags welcome
>>48078973
I like to think 'dire' animals are merely particularly potent mutants of an otherwise normal species. Paragons of their brethren, so to speak. Nothing exactly magical about them, but heroes of wild boars can arise just as easily as heroes of humans.
>>48079058
But what exactly would that entail? Quills on the back? Thicker hide? Claws instead of hooves?
>>48078973
Are celestial animals cool too? I've always wanted to see a Celestial Bulette.
Or a Celestial Dire Shark. Either works.
If someone gets petrified by a gorgon or basilisk or whatever, what kind of stone do they turn into?

Sup /tg/, question regarding a game I'm working on.
For almost a year I've been designing a board game called 'The 12 Towers', it's a massive Sandbox style board game for 2-12 players.
Now the game is just about done, and I'm working on a few tweaks and such, my question is, what's a reliable source to find a board game Publisher?
Apart from game building, I have ZERO knowledge about the inner workings of Board Game Marketing, so hopefully there's a select few out there with information.
The first big step is done, game is complete(ish) and I'm on BGG
https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/202491/12-towers
If you have any useful info on Publishers, please reply, I'm fighting this battle by myself.
I know nothing about marketing either but it looks fun. I wish you good luck with this.
Maybe it's me, but I don't really get your concept (you can't have anything more vague than "sandbox").
You should maybe think of a motto describing *action and *narration.
Warhammer40k is the game of *battles in the *40th millenium.
>>48078098
Thanks, here's the basics of the game:
It's my attempt at an Open Sandbox game, meaning players can literally do anything they want. This allows for team play, diplomacy, politics, even betrayal.
The concept of the game is for 1 player to control all 12 Towers (Not easy) or eliminate the other players (Also not easy). The core game comes with 600 game cards, ranging from Melee weapons, Siege Engines and Defensive fortification, to spells, dragons and other fun magical stuff.
Players take turns (and if there's 6 or more players, multiple turns are taken at the same time) doing a set amount of actions; Movement, Casting, Attacking, etc. The Sandbox part comes from the board (mostly) players can move in any direction, and set up fortification bases around the Tower (Or charge ahead and rampage someones Tower), it's entirely up to each individual player how to play the game.
Help me build this, /tg/
I want to make a character like Tien from Dragon Ball in the sense that I want a character who focuses on hand-to-hand or martial combat, but also has a very powerful energy attack that he can use on occasion.
My friend insist on using Pathfinder so that's what I'm limited to.
What stats and more importantly class/race would you use to make a character who can do this sort of thing?
Also if you can think of a system that could do it better, let me know. I probably won't be able to use it, but I'd like to look into it.
>>48077730
Monk seems like the obvious choice, right? But it doesn't really offer powerful ki attacks like Tien's Dodon Ray. Maybe there's a better subclass of Monk?
>>48077730
Qinqong monk will do it. Just be aware that you're playing one of the lowest tier characters possible.
>>48078258

This is how I Street Sam.
True facts my latest unarmed physad is based off of Tony
He makes the team uneasy
>>48077844
Group I was in, ST of an Edge of the Empire game dropped Tony in as a "friendly" NPC named Jack, who wore a Nexu mask.
Somehow, he and the Protocol Assassin Droid hit it off. The Outlaw Tech, not so much, unless you count knocking somebody out every time you meet them as a sign of friendship.
How would you handle an MMO tabletop?
Not a tabletop set in the world of an MMO, but a game that's meant to take place in an MMORPG.
I'm thinking of taking inspiration from Eclipse Phase, since treating your body like equipment is a core aspect of that game, but I'm sure there's a better way.
>>48077336
You explicitly allow metagaming at the table.
That's all.
The idea for the game is that it's 20XX and most things are done through virtual reality. Even stuff like shopping is handled in virtual malls, and you can have the real thing delivered to you.
The core focus of the game is on a massive MMO that just happens to also be connected to other VR networks because it's all by the same company or some such, everything is connected, whatever. I'm still figuring that out. One of the AIs has gone rampant and is corrupting things in The World, and even causing sickness in the real world through emerging Agent Smith type abilities. A second AI on the other hand grants the player characters access to debugging abilities that allow them to combat the evil AI and defeat the corrupted systems.
There's a bit of a thing going on where the AIs basically have to work within the limitations of the existing system, and end up taking the form of gods and demons, but really that's just to keep the evil AI from killing anyone connected to the servers and to make the game interesting.
Since it's an MMO, the players are able to swap out their Avatars. There'd basically be two types of experience: One for the players (so they can gain "OOC" stuff, like better skills to represent how good they are at the game or with social/mental tasks) and one for the Avatars, which learn Class Skills (i.e. magic powers).
>>48077575
That doesn't really cut it for what I'm talking about. The game is meant to revolve around replicating the mechanics of an MMO.
In addition to the character swapping, I'm thinking stuff like Friends Lists and Group Chat would be treated the way other games treat Telepathy spells.
