Balance edition: what do you think a balanced game looks like. Does metagame balance even have a place when playing cooperative storytelling where the points don't matter and everything is made up?
I see a lot of people complaining about certain class combinations being overpowered, but all the seem to care about is the players are able to hit above their recommended CR.
Which doesn't seem like a problem to me.
The only balance issues come when one player in the group is outshining other players in the group. Not when the group as a whole is doing exceedingly well. In other words, a group where everyone is OP is balanced.
Hey /tg/, how best do you think it'd be to make a Cantripnomancer? Like tonnes of cantrips and would it be worth it?

Balance happens where everybody feels like their characters are useful and the group as a whole feels they are facing a challenging but doable problem.
Imbalance happens when one or more players feel that their character is unable to contribute meaningfully. This can be because the character is overspecialized and the challenge at hand is simply beyond them, it can be because a challenge is excessively difficult or excessively easy, or because another player's character is excessively better-suited to the challenge at hand.
People complain about balance when they repeatedly see a particular type of character outshine everybody else, inhibiting their own enjoyment of the game.

No, a Russian leak of the game files shown that the two additional games are map expansions with their own unique areas. It seems that the second game will have Lizardmen, High Elves and Dark Elves with naval battles. The third game will have Khorne, Tzeentch, Nurgle and Slaanesh along the Daemons of Chaos.
The other races will be single player expansions in dlc with free dlc alongside each one (except Bretonnia, they will be a free faction).
For the first game, it will be Beastmen, Wood Elves and Bretonnia and maybe Skaven.

Eternity has an...obsession with music and every so often, summons the headphones I got from my Persona Jump to listen to. Of course this means I have to deal with peeps thinkin' I'm disrespecting them when I suddenly have headphones on my head.
Considering that that usually happens when I need my music fix the most, I don't mind it too much. It's also led to some priceless moments, like the time some bitchass no-name hollow was ranting about how I was a 'mere human'. The headphones popped up and the ownage commenced and not a single flying fuck was given that day.
...until I caught up to Ishida and Ichigo gave them both a very stern lecture on what shit is appropriate and what isn't.

As far as modern staples go, just don't trade or sell them to people that are under the impression they are real. Again, almost a necessary evil in a format where decks can cost over $2000. I can't wait for the shitstorm that happens when someone on the top tables of a GP is busted with a good fake though. Might finally make WOTC review their reprint standpoint.

Youre shit for selling proxies, but the proxy problem is entirely WOTC's fault. Cards shouldnt cost more than 100 dollars unless theyre collectable variants like full arts, foils, 1st editions, ect. I feel like they dont reprint needed reprints because it would make it more appearent how broken those cards are and would make the reprints pointless because then it results in a ban.

I finally watched AM1200 yesterday, and I loved it. Well, maybe loathed is the better word, but in a positive sense. Definitely a good piece with Lovecraftian elements. Pretty easy to turn into a CoC 'adventure' too.

Song of Swords is a realistic fantasy tabletop RPG that draws inspiration from historical fechtbuchs, weapons and armor. Its combat system is fast and it can be used for both fantasy and historical/mundane settings.
Call of the Void is a pulpy sci-fi tabletop RPG about fighting space-nazis and hunting giant whales with harpoons made out of the moon. Its combat system is more modern, based in the early 20th century, but can probably handle combat up to the present day.
