Anybody have any good maps for modern-day military bases? Think Metal Gear and the like.

>>Information
This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a sixteen year old boy named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.
>Rules
At the end of each update you'll have ten minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.
In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins
Rolls will be used on certain occasions, such as attempting a technique for the first time or attempting something extremely difficult. You will have three rolls, and if one succeeds, you succeed. There are no crits.
Rolls are made AFTER an option wins, not during the voting process
I hope everyone has fun.

nice meme
I feel like the amount of skill or luck required is too variable depending on what deck you're playing. Some have very little actual decision making because the most optimal play is almost always self evident.
Bunny hopping terminators? Check
Constant Eldar gang rape? Check
Orky Gorkanaught Super Stompy WAAAUGH time? God i hope so
Add imperial guard for profit
Add necrons for grimdark
Add sisters for pyrophilia
Add daemonhunters for edgy factor 9000

Pffft haha, they nerfed them for the trailer so you SM-babbies get hyped. Enjoy your dawn of eldar.

I hope the eldar get the avatar of cegorach so i can watch the glorious (s)laughter. Also base teleporting.
What decks are you running/building right now? Any big changes to your primary decks with the new Battle for Attoractia cards?
Looking for something to help my Yggdrasil deck somehow deal with flying creatures a bit easier, but I'm not too sure what to add. This guy is all well and good when you can quickcast him, but is utterly useless when flying is involved at that stage.

I'm sick of Horses appearing in every fantasy game, you'd have thought that alternatives would have been created rather than going with the super-familiar all the time.
Why are horses still so commonly used?
>>48291291
I feel this is some weird meta thread, but the answer to your question is that horses are a real, most players will know what one looks like, and historically they have been a very common beast of burden.
>>48291291
I'd wager that 90% of D&D/PF players have never actually had their character ride a horse.
It's much easier to say "horse" than to explain what a xyxhxxxz is. Even if you come up with something that isn't a horse, you're probably going to end up saying that it's "like a horse, but".
Apart from that, horses are a fairly big deal in western culture. They have a lot of associations, from knights to Cowboys, that people want to draw on in making their story.
What game and class would allow me to play as an overpowered mutant?
Mutants and Masterminds
D&D 5E, use Matt Mercer's homebrew Blood Hunter class, one of the variants is near exactly like a Witcher (he's a huge fan of the series).
Gamma World. Everyone is a mutant there.
You are asked to find the volume of an old antique vase. The vase is fragile and you cannot move it what so ever. Using what is in a doctors office how do you do it?
Slowly fill the vase with water via syringe, keep track of how many cc of water go in. /thread

So, are there any card games that *aren't* pay-to-win?
Sure, players can agree upon casual MtG decks in advance, but chances are, any random MtG player you see in a gaming store is going to be sinking all their cash into mythic rares while making fun of you for being a poor casual.
tons of card games fit into this niche.
The FFG card games.
Magic has a format called Pauper, the average cost for a deck is between 10-20 dollars.
People have mentioned you can put together a decent force of will deck rather cheaply(you just have to avoid all their alternative blinged up card versions).
Netrunner as well.
The best ladder decks in hearthstone are stuff like hunter and zoo that run almost no legendaries and aim to end the game quickly. Can drop some cash on the adventures but at least you get a PVE experience and actual gameplay out of it rather than just buying packs, and they can be bought with gold although its inefficient
It's hardly what you're looking for, but that's just the nature of these games

I'm actually curious about this. I think I saw it discussed on /tg/ once, but I didn't save the info.
Hey guys. I've got a little dilemma. Last night, my character (who is a devout Zeus worshipper) was being dragged to his death by a giant squid. All sirens can die, btw. In a moment of desparation, he said a prayer to Posiedon. Tried to make a deal; get me out of this and I'll devote myself to you before Zeus. The only response was a lightning bolt striking the water near my character. Zeus wasn't happy. Then a prayer to zeus; "okay, if you think you could do better get me out of this shit." Long story short, Zeus revoked my favour with him and I can no longer call upon his aid. My dilemma is how should my character take this? I'm not a religious person myself. How would someone deal with being forsaken by a god they've devoted their life to?
Pic related: how my character feels?
Bump for accurate rp

Make a sacrifice or two. Sing his praises. Kill a priest of Poseidon.
Alternatively, count your blessings that you no longer have to put up with that vain prick and pick a new, better god.
Why would an ancient greek god care that you worship another? It's part of the whole religion
Why do boys always play as wizards or warriors? They never play normal classes like rogues or healers.
Look at me, playing the Dee&Dee like some nerd xD, tee-hee~Is that what you wanted, OP?
>>48290479
I get what you're trying to do here, OP, but it won't end well. Also, ironic shitposting is still shitposting.
So like I forgot my make-up and had to leave the session and take a cab home because I can't be seen among people (taxi drivers aren't people) without being all caked out tee hee hee.
Am I alone to get sand in my vagina whenever I see ridiculously period inappropriate freehand on miniatures?
Like, when I see medieval miniature with ridiculously advanced art techniques, I might give a pass if it's fantasy and on painted on canvas by elves or some shit.
But when I see that shit on banners and especially on normal clothing... All I picture is some peasant printing it out from his textile printer connected to his Apple device.
I don't care how well done it is, if it's stupid, then it's stupid.
You realize brocade's been around for about fifteen hundred years, right?
The problem is that you have Aspergers.
It's not supposed to be period accurate. It's obviously a show piece made specifically to show off neat painting skills. It's probably not even part of anybody's army.
>>48290457
Greatly limited by dyes and you'll be hard pressed to see anything remotely like modern graphic design (beside floral designs inspired by brocade itself) or even complex gradients made from colors that had no equivalent dyes, or dynamic posing and perspective, realistic light theory, etc.

I know that, it's a Game of Thrones baratheon model for display. But it's still a retarded idea even though it's executed brilliantly.
So why does Jace feel so fucking forced. Because he does.
But the reason why seems odd. While there are more Jace cards at 6 now, the gap isn't that large.
5 Chandras, 5 Lillianas, a bunch of 4s.
We got breaks from Jace just like we got breaks from the other ones. He wasn't the blue walker in Alara, Tarkir, Mirrodin.
The only thing I can think of is that he's much more cemented at the 'blue walker' than any other one is as their color walker.
The gap there is much bigger.
The next most common 'blue walkers' only have two cards.
Compare Chandra's 5 to Sarken's 3. Lillian's 5 to 4 sorins. Nissa and Garruk, Lilliana and Sorin. White has Ajani, Gideon, and Elspeth all competing.
And in terms of story relevance, every other color has to compete, of those I listed last paragraph, they've all had a big story role. The other blue walkers have never really stood on their own.
And on top of that, Jace the mind sculptor dominated a format way more than any other planswalker card ever has.
>>48289521
Because MtG writers have trouble not having a white male as their lead. The Gatewatch is their attempt to overcome this, but it just makes it worse.
>>48289521
He's pushed as the face of whatever sets he's apart of. They're now doing the same with the other Origins Five but previously, you didn't see Alara get plastered with Ajani's face to Innistrad gets covered in Sorin's or Liliana's.
>>48289521
Because he's in a lot of marketing shit, plus the stories have him as the main character. But mostly the marketing. They plaster him on everything.
Well anons, time for some confesions of the most evil shit you've done in rpgs. I'll go first
I saved a baby only to kill it in front of it's mother so it could be more traumatizing.....I was feeling dickish that day
I set an orphanage on fire to act as a distraction whilst my party fled the town.
I committed genocide because my characters father was kind of a jerk

Well, seems this thread has two good ones so far
"Living world" only campaigns.
You know, the ones that are looking for 999 players.
The ones that die within a week or two. Or, if they survive past then, they let the first few players exceed everyone else in level and lord over newcomers.
Why are these so cancerous?
RPGs are fundamentally about small scales or a few individuals.
You could sooner push a boat cross the land than change that.
I remember participating in one about wh40k
Got frosted over right when my wyrdboy casted FIST at nurgle-worshipping foes that got constant metagaming reinforcements

I could see this work if you had a few dozen friends who share your creative vision. On paper, it seems really cool.
Unfortunately, I don't even have a few friends.
