You take a look around the room with Horon, spotting some pots around, but thankfully no further enemies. There's a stairway leading down to the second half of the room, where the Lizalfos and Dinolfos attacked you from. You... think you spot something that looks like a chest down there, but can't tell for sure.

On the other side of the room, there looks like there are two conspicuous torches that are left unlit, flanking a section of wall at just enough distance for a door to be at. Maybe you could try lighting them with your lantern, see if that works. Though the fact that the exit hasn't opened is... worrying.

"Say, Termina, you got any more wooden shields?" Horon asks, finally putting out the embers in his hair. "That worked out even better than I thought it would, so if you've got a spare..."

does it speak? i tried reading Elric on a few occassions, but couldn't really stomach him. nice setups that all inevitably boil down to either "Elric draws Stormbringer and goes full Lou Ferrigno, slaughtering everything" or "Elric calls upon this or that melinbonian pact and elementals do his work for him, slaughtering everything". Sorta read like Sue fic, so I never finished any book about him. Shame, really. Nice setting.

Between banishing ward, sacred ward, and spell ward most of the list can't be targeted by enemy spells. On feat turn zephyr can be used before a charge to get some extra inches in, which is nice. Risen can be used for sacrificial lamb on the two jacks if it's convenient.

Small elite groups can move faster, hit the enemy at weak points, and stay mobile.

As long as they're able to keep it up, stay under the radar, and hide between rapid strikes, the enemy will never win decisively. They might be able to drown us in bodies, but we'll bleed them dry with a fraction of the manpower.

I tend to play Tempestus Scions in 40k tabletop, sometimes I play Imperial Knights.

For vidya, I veer towards factions with a high unit survivability. I played Wehrmacht in Company of Heroes, for instance.

I don't know man, it's elves. We could be independent ("in revolt") for a hundred years at a time and as long as we were not so at least 60% of the time from the beginning of this situation until the apocalypse, they'd just consider them temporary states of revolt given their lifespans.

Clearly we have to give up the Glorbulans. The Zorblaxian Confederacy is one of our largest trading partners. The economic sanctions they could bring against us could potentially stymie our expansion into the M'il Ga'thog nebula for a decade or more. How are our ships going to continue to fly if they decide to put an embargo on Vacax III, our primary Deuterium mine? A single ship isn't worth the economic future of the Republic.

Hmn. Barrier or not to Barrier. That is a question. Making good on your promise to slaughter them and leave them in her home is one thing, and everyone is unconscious and all electronics disabled for good (you hope she didn't have anything special recorded on her TIVO) means that even if you drop the barrier, chances are excellent no one will find out too soon. You would typically say half an hour before any check, but you didn't notice any checks while you were observing.

Sadly, that doesn't mean you waited long enough to see one; you're a little impatient at the moment. But half of an hour is a good bet.
