I dislike the fact that divine power is expressed as spells in the same way wizards cast them. If anything a cleric representing their god should have more subtle affects and they should be more in line with the god/belief they follow rather then being a jack of all trade master of everything wizard with a miter.

People choose to practice divine magic because it is reliable so long as you follow the tenets of the religion and have its deity's favor. Unless your deity has the Domains of Douchebaggery & Backstabbings, then you deserve it for when your divine magic fails.

Can't. Games need to have a strong atmosphere no matter what and the shows all about pulling 180s. You can't run a joke game then expect the players to be interested in it. The best I could do would be have a very dark oppressive game with strong hope spots that turn out to be false. The other thing you'd need to do is run a game that has at the very least a tendril towards real life. The best I could think of is a Unknown Armies game set in LA. Have the players be either up and coming artists in the community who start realizing what they have to sacrifice or burnt out mages trying to recapture their time in the lime light. UA is absurdist at most times and making a silly game dark is pretty easy to do if you don't try to do 180s

There's ghost type and fairy type energy, different frequencies of the same energy which souls are composed of that can be condensed into everstone and saturated with more energy into any other kind of held stone or evolution stone, but it doesn't connect all life as much as it's technically the raw materials to construct spirits. Most golem/construct pokemon are machines constructed from technology based on it core concepts.
