Like a roller coaster, but instead of loops or high speed turns and stuff, you just get pelted by d20s.

Basically a copy of the Indiana Jones ride except you start in a tavern, some animatronic bartender tells you about some quest, you eventually enter a large chamber with a giant Beholder shooting laser and shit, he'll keep popping up, some heroes will show up in one of the other rooms, one will cast a spell, and dead beholder.

Set it up so one of the park-hands nudges the guests to exit portal, but he's got to stay in character.

Chess is practically a solved game, the only strategy is predicting which of the limited number of moves your opponent is going to use next, and selecting the appropriate counter-move from the same limited number of moves.

Leave the game. Real talk. That's not a game you want to be in if the players don't understand the difference between being in and out of character.

Don't try to fight them in game, or deal with them that way. Just remove yourself from the situation. If you've never had to deal with gaming autists before, beating them in-game is an unpardonable crime. It will resolve nothing.

There is no reason to get stuck in an enjoyable situation. There are enough fish in the ocean that you can just find another game without shitheads for players.

It also plays very well once you get past creation. The mechanics are smooth and fairly simple, if a touch fiddly at times and all work together to promote the feel of Aurthurian fantasy. That said, however, I personally prefer their other Aurthurian game, Prince Valiant. Very simple narrative system that actually works quite well for both shorter and longer games. You can find scans of it online, and they're coming out with a new version in January. It's worth checking out if you like the genre.

Using alignments as anything but a mechanic for interactions between spells or equipment is silly. They shpoukdnt shackle or define your character.
