In your time playing TTRPG's, have you ever witnessed a physical fight breakout between your players or the DM? Share your experiences here

>psion player kills the cleric player's squire npc because ''he is a liabillity''
>yelling fest ensues
>this goes on for a good 10 minutes, we have to stop every 5 seconds because they keep arguing

This happened today so I wanted to see if it has happened to anyone else. I never knew how heated this hobby can get

The sea air is crisp, cut with the smell of smoke and the sound of panicked screaming. Past the lip of my cap on the other end of the street, stand the four traitors, if I can even call them that since from what they've said, I'm pretty sure they were never marines to start with.

Smoke wraps around them as they stare at me. The right one stares at me like a snake in grass, as I aim one of my revolver's at his chest. The gentlemanly looking one on the left smiles with a sad look in his eyes as I do the same to him.

I'm done laughing now, now all I am doing is waiting for my chance to make a move and they're doing much the same.

Well except the boy in the middle of them, he's hopping around and beaming happily like he can't wait to get moving and have some fun. I smile as I see him, and start to bounce on my heels.

"Ha...ha...ha" I laugh again as I lean towards them, still aiming at them as they stand their like a bunch of grave diggers, looking oh so serious "Come on fellah's make my day, I'm starting to get a little bored waiting for you"

"I was just hoping you could see logic" Lefty says with a sad shake of his head "I see it was an empty wish...it truly is a shame to have to put down someone like you"

"Bah, she's a marine, she's only playing at being nice' Right sneers, flicking his tongue out as his eyes narrow and he reaches for his wicked looking axe "I'd bet you anything she's done more crimes than any of us"

Also I'd like to talk a bit about Fresh Soul Reaper Quest at the end of this thread, if any one cares to, since I'm hype about it.

if you can't tell, it's a quest I'm going to be starting real soon, set in bleach.

Also I made two entirely different sets of starting choices based on if you choose to have been a normal high school girl or a wandering ronin when you were alive.

Each one giving different traits/ Talents/ abilities than the other choice, along with the normal stat ones.

My favorite traits is one from the highschool line.

Simply titled "THE HERO!" Which makes Kimi *the mc* act like a kamen rider and a total nerd, as well as give her access to unique abilities and talents

No.

They do! That's one of the aspects of cultures I really like to focus on.
The northern people are stereotypically hardy but also quite religious. They use simple ingredients to make simple foods, but often go all out when it comes to celebratory or religious feasts.

There are some. For example, the triocracy of Vhem's largest exports are oils and fruit wines. The region is warm and humid, with hilly terrain, where the fruits and nuts can be easily grown.

Just because GW prints Tau wank doesn't mean Taufags like the Tau wank, either. They feel it's a pleasant change of pace from the standard Space Marine wank, but at the end of the day it's still just wank.

Taufags like the fluff that paints Tau as /morally/ better, with the Empire being actually made of cooperation and progress and LGBT rainbows. At the end of the day, Phil Kelly supports secret Tau abduction squads, reeducation camps, mind control pheromones, and entire Imperial populations being consigned to asteroid slave labor for being human.

In otherwords, he tries to make Tau more grimdark and 40k, and most Taufags are Taufags because they don't actually like the rest of 40k.

I usually play monstrous races, and I like playing classes that deal a lot of damage. I've recently been expanding into more utility, debuffs, and support though.

If you don't know what a Quantum Ogre is it's when a GM designs an Ogre encounter , gives the players the choice of entering the forest or going to the mountains, and puts his Ogre encounter in whichever one the players picked.

Do you use Quantum Ogres in your games? If so how did it work out? Do players even care?

Is it ever okay to force an encounter on players?

How about reskinning an encounter? The Ogre in the forest is a Green Wood Ogre. The mountain Ogre is a Red Stone Ogre. They both have identical stats.

How about Quantum Dungeons? Both the forest and the mountain also contain the Ogre Fortress based on whatever the players choose.

Alright /tg/ I've found myself running an M-COM game for a group who doesn't realise they're in an M-COM game. I'll start with storytime, then ask for any suggestions for the oncoming campaign.

And that's generally how things have gone so far, I'm thinking of putting them in charge of their own little M-COM, and having them co-ordinate R&D, missions, equipment, ect while gathering intel on threats. Has anyone else run/played anything similar? I'd love any tips and ideas to make this better.

I think questions are good, the less typical ones are better.


Does anybody have an opinion on thunderstone? A buddy of mine is selling his thunderstone advanced starter set, towers of ruin, numerea, and a couple oyher expansions as a big bundle. And its decently price at 100 bucks. Whoch i think is good considering tor alone os 230 on amazon.

With pricing aside, os it a good game? Whats your opinion on it? Is there another game that you think "does it better" ?

Thunderstone's pretty fun, feels a lot like a "dominion with a twist" though. I've tried Tom Vasel's\Richard Lanius' "epic" variant and it's pretty fun.

You can start by not making the OP image an expression of your weeb interest. Pics can be important to attracting people just browsing. Nothing about that pic says board games unless people stop to read it, which I imagine many don't. Stop using off topic images, especially fetish fuel weeb images.

Discussion is discussion. Make a statement about things that interest you. If those interests are relevant to someone else, good. Otherwise just occasionally plug topics that you like.

I don't like answering them because they're uninspired and almost copy pasted across every thread. It's reasonable to expect people do have a game night about once a month. Some more, a few less. People do all sorts of things that aren't board gaming. The point of all this is if every thread asks people last game played/last purchase, people aren't going to bother answering because it's the same question and people tend to hate repeating themselves.

Tldr questions are almost always trash. Ask people things that make them think.

Humor me, /tg/. A post a long time ago got me thinking along these lines.

If you were a unusually big, powerful and sapient wolf with knowledge about tactics, human behaviour, etc, would you be able to take on and defeat a primitive human village? None of the other wolves in your pack are sapient, though if you have any progeny they will be unnaturally strong and clever.

What if you were a bear with the same advantages, or a lion? Which animals could do the best?

What would be your strategy? I'm thinking for the wolf, the key is the nighttime advantage. Since you're the only smart one it's up to you to bring down their shelter and extinguish the fires, but I think if you can pull that off quick enough your group can finish the job.

I don't know much about lions except that they're easily scared. I can imagine why the bear would have it easier though.
