Gimme mechs, preferably nonhumanoid ones.
Hello /tg/ (first time posting here)
So I decided to host a d&d game (5E) with a few of my friends, and, im stuck in a situation where one wanna play an orc Barbarian, and the other an elf druid. One is still picking, and I just realize I have no idea how to make these characters interact with eachother, considering the Orc wants to be a gruesome warrior and the Cleric Neutral good.
Can anyone please drop me leads?
>not having a session 0 where everybody makes characters together that all either already know each other or will at the very least work with each other for a common goal
Ya messed up.
Talk to the players and find a solution that everyone is OK with. Encourage creativity.

...what, really?
Barbarians and Druids are rather close, in general; they're both wilderness-types. The elf/orc thing might be a problem, depending on both players views of things... but really, for a standard D&D game, you should still be okay. They're adventurers; regardless of their personal alignments or beliefs, the goal is to murderhobo their way through a bunch of enemies and acquire loot.

You don't have to use the template obviously, just think about the ideas presented therein.
Here's some quick ideas for getting a group to work together:
Shared mortal peril. The group is together only because of circumstance. Once the mortal peril stops being an issue, the group has little reason to stick together. Everybody gets a disease and the cure is in some dungeon, and the group meets there. The bar everybody happens to be at is attacked and these guys are the only ones who can do something about it. Avoid this one, it generally sucks.
Common enemy. You'll get more mileage out of this, but don't expect the group to really want to work together. They might at best tolerate each other but they will probably fracture apart at the first sign of dire straits.
Common goal. OK, now you're getting somewhere. The group is together because they all want to get paid. They might trust each other a little bit. The group is together because they are all traveling in the same direction. You can start here, but usually this isn't enough by itself.
Acquaintances. Some of the characters already know each other and they share some goal, some enemy, or have some other reason to be working together. The characters had the same teacher, they went to the same academy, they were childhood friends, one of them bailed the other out. These groups tend to stick together even when the going gets rough, and the players have some reason to take detours only for one character's reasons. Hey, they already know each other, right? It's OK to help out the Cleric pro bono because the Cleric is going to help me out later, because we're pals.
Family members, close friends. Everybody knows each other, and would die for each other. You can basically put the group into any situation and they'd work things out. Aim for this, at least by halfway in the campaign.
Geting drunk on wine listening to the campaign music we used to have when we played. Should I end it?

Good memories are only evidence that you're a worthwhile person. A keto diet has been pretty easy to maintain and super helpful with my depression, look into it. Alternatively there are more proven options like therapy or antidepressants.
Good luck person I'll never talk to again.

>Setting with instant healing potions.
>The problem is that these potions fucking hurt like high hell if you have anything too broken.
>This is because your bones, muscles, and allot of other things are just suddenly snapping right back together. Instantly.
There I've made healing potions that can't just be spammed.
>>54963520
Or just base them on the fact that your cells can only regenerate so many times before they start just fucking dying or becoming cancerous.
Insta-150 HP from Heal? Okay, you're still in the fight, and now you've got a tumor the size of an apple on your hip because this is not the first time you've done this? Is it malignant? You don't fuckin' know; this is not!medieval times, we don't even know what cancer is!
Wow haha anon you sure are original
>>54963588
Or the fact that there might be physical things inside of your body like arrow heads that you'll need to see a doctor about.
And the fact that bacteria is bound to evolve to benefit from this healing potion.
How might we make psionics more interesting?
What if they were all deaf-mutes?
>>54963352
>>54963352
Couldn't they just talk into your mind? Doesn't seem like it'd be that weird, other than you'd know you're dealing with a psion pretty quick.
>>54963672
Oooh, they'd have a person who is their hearing buddy. They'd just listen through that person's ears for their hearing. And if they don't want to be weird, they could talk through their buddy.

It went fairly well. Luckily we had several characters with fairly good Explosives skills.

Who the fuck is that?

First for Perty is unappreciated.
Most books are bad.
So I've been playing D&D for a while now with a certain group and we all want to start a new game. I suggested Call of Cthulhu because I've heard of it before. We've decided that we want to do either 7th edition or the d20 System Version from 2002 (picture related). Any suggestions?
Also Call of Cthulhu general
>>54962520
bumping because my group is thinking of doing the same.
Joe? You in here?
>>54962520
Use 7th. The d20 one is garbage.
When run it, remember that it's a horror game, and therefore shines in one-shots.
Hello tg. I just feel like drawing 40k stuff.
Please keep your request simple enough for me to understand without having to do much googling. Reference images is appreciated.
What to redo this image but with a carnifex trying to get the guardsmen out of a tank?
How about a Chaos space marine hitting his horns a doorway
>>54962342
Please draw Xeno the Littlest Phaeron. She is my favorite and I love her.
Are Space MArines "monsters"?
>>54962320
A lot like an Ork, Space Marines are warriors and little else. Not necessarily "monsters" unless you're talking about real life good/bad standards.
>>54962320
Can we talk instead about the apparently amazing dental plan Blood Angels have?
Those pearly whites are amazing.
>>54962320
They're pretty monsterous. They're hypnoindoctrinated child soldier from death worlds that eat brains to gain memories, spit acid, punch people's heads off and get called Angels of Death. They're not just monsterous though. A lot of their more interesting stuff is fraternal bonds, cult rituals, choice and duty, mortality despite greatness, stuff like that. Very humanizing.
I'll begin.
A plane that is completely covered in oil. Ocasionaly, some of the oil catches on fire, leaving a great burning inferno that lasts until it is snuffed by some breeze. A subaquatic society existed at some point, with mages creating subaquatic air bubbles and bubble tunnels linking the bubbles. This society was, however, exterminated at some point, leaving only the ruins of the citties and many corpses.
