Sometimes a player is not excellent to others, and their autism prevents them from realizing it.

Dear That Guy:

If you dislike people's politics that much, DO NOT BLOODY WELL JOIN THE IRC SERVER'S POLITICAL DEBATE CHANNEL.

If you dislike people's politics that much and you join the political debate channel anyway, EAT POPCORN AND WATCH MORONS INSTEAD OF GETTING INTO AN ARGUMENT YOURSELF.

If you get into a shitfight in the political debate channel and quite understandably want out, AT LEAST HAVE THE FUCKING DECENCY TO RAGEQUIT FROM JUST THE CHANNEL, RATHER THAN THE SERVER AND THE FORUM AND MULTIPLE GAMES YOU WERE IN, YOU GIANT DIPSHIT.

Your twitter-level "blocked! and blocked everyone who was following you!" approach to disagreement by leaving without notice screwed over several players in the games you were in, particularly one where YOUR CHARACTER WAS THE FOCUS OF THE CURRENT PLOT, and the GM was rather annoyed by having to quickly shuffle the plot around because you abruptly decided you didn't want to be in the same game as someone who was in the same channel as someone who had political views you disliked.

Or was he doing it graciously in an effort to make that guy feel more included and welcome, despite visible retardation?

Thread starter question: Have you ever played a fox hengeyokai?

If you are GMing, remember...
1. To strongly consider giving out at least one free "tax feat," like Expertise and pre-errata Melee Training.
2. To use Monster Manual 3/Monster Vault/Monster Vault: Nentir Vale/Dark Sun Creature Catalog math. Avoid or manually update anything with Monster Manual 1 or 2 math.
3. That skill challenges have always been scene-framing devices for the GM, that players should never be overtly told that they are in a skill challenge, and that the Rules Compendium has the most up-to-date skill DCs and skill challenge rules.

If you would like assistance with character optimization, remember to tell us what the what the rest of the players are playing, what books are allowed, your starting level, the highest level you expect to reach, what free feats you receive, if anything is banned, whether or not themes are allowed, your starting equipment, and how much you dislike item-dependent builds.
If you wish to talk about settings, 4e's settings are Points of Light (the planes and the natural world's past empires are heavily detailed in various sourcebooks and magazines), 4e Forgotten Realms, 4e Eberron, 4e Dark Sun, and whatever setting you would like to bring into 4e.

>What is /awg/?
A thread to talk about minis and games which fall between the cracks. /hwg/ doesn't entertain fantasy (for good reason) and the other threads are locked to very specific games, so this thread isn't tied to a game, or a genre, lets talk about fun wargames.

Any scale, any genre, any company, any minis. Skirmishers welcome. Rules designers welcome.

>Examples of games that qualify
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_miniature_wargames
Mighty Armies, Dragon Rampant, Of Gods and Mortals, Frostgrave, Hordes of the Things, Songs of Blades and Heroes, and anything that doesn't necessarily have a dedicated thread (gorkamundheim).

When's GW going to start selling more models for IG that aren't just Cadian dudes?
I know Forge World does other stuff, but I'd like to see Vostroyans or Valhallans or female anythings in a store sometime.

Plus it would make it easier to divide your troops if the models & colours were both different.

Modern: Prized Amalgam is banned. Bloodbraid Elf is unbanned. Jace, the Mind Sculptor is unbanned.

Legacy: Mind Twist is unbanned. Survival of the Fittest is unbanned.

Vintage: No changes.
>>
>>49322000
>Amalgam banned

No, Dredge isn't even top tier. It's a mid tier deck that got lucky at a single Open. Are Jeskai Nahiri, Elves, Grixis Delver, and Ad Nauseum top tier as well? Nope, but all 4 of these decks got lucky and won 1 big event each, just like Dredge. None of these decks have had the consistent success that Bant Eldrazi, Jund, Burm, Affinity, and Zoo have had this format. So Dredge isn't a problem.

>BBE and Jace unbanned

No. Jund is already a top 5 deck, it doesn't need any more support. As for Jace, the card is just fundamentally broken, and unbanning it would open up a huge can of worms.
>>
SFM is unbanned.

Seriously, that card has no business on the list. If it is not unbanned by aether revolt I'm quitting magic. Snapcaster is okay but SFM isn't? The DCI can suck my sweaty fat black dick.

How do we make regular warrior-types not suck compared to mages? Not specifically trained assassins, or paladins who devote their whole lives to a deity, or any other types. Just regular down-to-earth mercenaries and farmhands with rusty swords being not so shit compared to magic-users?
WITHOUT actually nerfing magic-users into oblivion, that is, or handing out antimagic to everyone.

(yes-yes, I know this topic has been perhaps overdone, but I don't care)

Let's make a compendium of all ideas and see which ones are least retarded, shall we?
304 posts and 30 images submitted.
>>
Idea 1.
Warriors become so strong/skilled they can beat reality into submissions, punch portals through space, jump on roofs, etc. Full-on wuxia. Every fighter is a monk.

Idea 2.
Warriors can use technology, which is taboo to mages for some reason (either magic and tech don't mix, or whatever). Basically, all warriors are engineers.

Idea 3.
All warriors gain power from single-minded purpose, courage and determination. Basically, they are sorta like wuxia psions. Or the effects are purely passive, so they just gain world-bending auras.

Idea 4.
All warriors rely on drugs, alchemy, super-serums, etc. to gain various powers. Say, only a trained body can withstand the strain of chemicals, so that's why wizards don't do it. Think berserker mushrooms taken to eleven.

Idea 5.
All warriors are basically paladins, each representing a certain idea or ideal, and championing it always, even if unwittingly. Said idea(l) affects the world around them, though they can't control it much (at first at least).

Idea 6.
Warriors can shape the world with sheer fury and/all battlecries (all warriors are D&D 4ed. barbarians or Dovakhiins)

Idea 7.
All warriors learn some sets of motions/gestures that require perfect physical shape to execute, that are little less then silent spells. Wuxia-style again.

Idea 8.
All warriors learn how to inscribe runes upon stuff, giving them runic powers.

Idea 9.
All warriors draw power from warrior folklore, shaping the world with battle songs and hymns. Basically, all warriors are bards.

Idea 10.
All great warriors gain power from the blood they spill in close combat, gaining some sort of control over blood at all. Basically all warriors are blood mages. Although it gimps archers.
>>
>>49305876
Idea 11.
All warriors honour ancestors, legendary fighters of old, spirits of war or nature, or generic war gods, who give them power in return. Basically, all warriors are clerics/shamans (or druids, in case of nature sprits).

Idea 12.
All warriors gain shreds of power from powerful enemies they kill. Getting splashed with dragonsblood you just shed by your own hand gives you iron skin, for instance.

Idea 13.
All great warriors are admired by some otherworldly beings or maybe a war god, who does supernatural stuff for them. Think Xena, but if Ares was less of a dick.

Idea 14.
There are extremely powerful magical artifact weapons, which seek to end up in great warriors' hands. These artifacts basically do the magic for the warriors.

Idea 15.
Laws of narrative causality explicitly allow warriors to do stuff, so it's basically how good DMs make fighters useful in D&D, but it is actually something that warriors can plan their tactics around in-universe...

a gauntlet that when equipped blesses any item held for 4 rounds (if you hold an item and let it go then the bless lasts for 4 rounds) bless is a paladin based spell that gives the wielder +1d6 holy damage upon dealing damage and bless also grants +2 to hit with the blessed item.

They were called "Whispers", enchanted bottles that when one breathed into, learned your voice and something of your personality.

They were usually given as gifts to departing soldiers or adventurers, for when you uncorked the bottle, it would talk to you in a soothing manner of the individual imprinted upon it.

All of the mental succour of a message from home, with the added pleasure of hearing your loved one's voice. Some simpler versions just recorded a single message.

Not entirely original I know, but still nice.

Alright, so, light to medium crunch episodic Cyberpunk Police game, in the vein of Ghost in The Shell, NeoTokyo and Blade Runner.

Which system should I go with? SW, GURPS or Fate?

I've been meaning to try out Fate, you guys think it would go well with this idea, or do I need something a little less abstract for a good cyberpunk game?

Why don't you want ot use games dedicated to a cyberpunk setting like Cyberpunk 20XX or Shadowrun (without the magic stuff)?

COPS is perfect for what you have in mind, being a cyberpunk cops rpg that plays like a TV series, but idk if it has been translated in english.

Looking for some inspiration since I'm currently struggling to write up a decent scenario for my players.

Any recommendations for books and films that give that tone of paranoia and the inability to trust anyone? Looking for thrillers, stuff related to the mundane portions of Delta Green about lying to everyone and trying not to get caught doing illegal or amoral deeds.

Thought it might be good to rewatch Three days of the Condor/read the original Six days of the Condor book

Why do martialfags always do this? Why don't they ever take into account that you don't just walk into a tavern wearing your full combat gear because it MIGHT intimidate one or two patrons? And let's not even begin about how inconvenient it must be to sit down for dinner wearing full plate.
