Following intel leaked by the mysterious Dvorak the 3C move to kidnap Dr. Ammerit one of the key minds behind the creation of the Cognis Super mech.
With Ammerit's capture they hope to gain a valuable bargaining chip as well as insight into the mysterious cabal that seems determined to dismantle the Bifrost network.

Cable Guy: “With Dvorak’s help our Intel team has tracked Dr. Ammerit to a weapons testing facility within the Kingdom of Zanvra. Your objective will be to secure a path to the test facility and get infantry teams in there to secure the doctor. In order to accomplish this task a mechanized infantry platoon will be sent in with you. The platoon consists of 1 AFV-C and 4 AFV-Bs. The infantry squads inside are equipped with satchel charges, 2 RPGs and 1 ATGM. Use them to aid you in combat if you deem it necessary but remember: you must get at least two squads of infantry into the facility in order to secure Ammerit.”
“So far the enemy presence on site is light, consisting of only a single squad of mecha backed up by the base’s flak turrets, but you’re deep in enemy territory. Once you commence your attack you can expect enemy air support to converge on your position quickly, so don’t dawdle. The air strikes will only become more intense as the mission goes on.”

“The terrain is mostly open, but you’ll be approaching the facility through a firing range. Those angled blocks you see on the display are concrete target panels. They’re quite tough and offer a good bit of damage reduction, but they block movement and line of sight. The tanks are naturally just wrecks used for target practice. They’re not going to suddenly become active and start shooting you. As for the warehouses to the top and bottom they’re just used for storing supplies. There’s nothing of note inside, but you can use them for cover, especially from incoming air attacks. Finally there’s a mech hanger to the southeast but Intel informs me that any mecha inside are undergoing maintenance and are unlikely to enter play during the mission. ”
>Please be aware that air support must be requisitioned by an officer BEFORE the mission starts in order for it to be available for the NCOs to call during the mission.
>All pilots please post your deployment builds.

Registered for this mission is the Full Stealth team:
>[NCO] Horst - Errant/Pugalist?
>[NCO] Alice - Predator - Sniper
>Nyx - Predator - Sniper
>Izzy - Errant - Sniper
>Ithaqua - Squire - Linesman
Since we have two NCOs present, provisional mission command is given to Alice due to being a stealth-focussed missionunless she doesn't appear, doesn't want it, or Sparebits thinks otherwise in which case it's on Horst.
Authority for purchase of air-support assets is approved, make it count!
Remember everyone: this is a robbery, not a war. Hit hard, hit fast, grab the package and get out of there. Good hunting.

As a GM do you provide food for your players?
>>49499414
If I'm providing the game some other dick can handle the grub.
>>49499414
We split the cost of whatever we have delivered or whatever I need to cook up dinner for everyone. Well, that and we share weed too. Isn't that the norm?
>>49499414
No. We buy our own food and share parts of it (like chips or pop). Sometimes the players bring food for the GM as a reward for all his hard work.
So I'm having my first game of DnD next Saturday, so I'd appreciate any advice anyone can give here.

Don't get caught in the rules. You learn most of them as games roll on.
Just play.
How is it? Been wanting to run a game with my siblings esp with the Pokemon Sun/Moon hype going in their heads. Just giving a glance of the pdf, it looks crunch as fuck so I feel overwhelmed by the amount of it.
You'd be better off taking a system you are already familiar with and changing it to fit pokemon since you'll have to teach them the rules either way.
>>49507127
Fun with the right crowd, but the amount of book-keeping is crazy. Possibly the worst sort of game to play with others who are new or new-ish to RPGs, because you essentially end up playing 4-5 "characters" at the same time.
>>49507127
It's a solid system but I would personally play in several games first and foremost before trying to run the game. Head to the PTU forums/Roll20 and try to get in on one, learn the system through playing it and go.
That said, I would encourage players to not focus on trying to be "balanced trainers," trying to catch all kinds of Pokemon and raising 6 different ones. The game slows the fuck down really fast if you do. Instead, have each player focus in on 2 (3 max) Pokemon - Their starter, one non-legendary Pokemon and then, if they do get them, a legendary or near-legendary Pokemon (but don't just give them to them. Remember that the vast majority are hidden away or linked to the story of the games they appear).

>The Heart of Hate
The elemental lord Flaer'Rok was felled by the ancient dwarves and his molten heart claimed to heat their forges. But the longer the heart remained in use, the hotter it got and forcing the dwarves to continually lower it further and further into the mountain and away from their homes. But then, one night, it flared and seared the majority of the dwarven hold, forcing those who lived to flee. Even now, the heart flares up and spews molten rock from it's flashes into the air, a reminder to those who live near the place of it's presence.

How often does your party burn fate?
>>49523235
We've played approximately 14 sessions up to now.
In the first session a player burned Fate to avoid falling in a bottomless chasm, narrowly falling onto a ledge and breaking half his teeth. He replaced them with platinum afterwards.
Later, another burned Fate when the Psyker stunned him because of Perils of the Warp, leaving him wide open to a full auto-pistol volley from a cultist.
Lastly, another player fell from a great height while climbing under enemy fire. She now has chronic back pain and a fear of heights.

Also, for the anon that asked about our groups old that guy.
He is the guy that was mentioned before that, due to GM mistake, rolled a nat 100 Warp Made Manifest mutant at chargen. And he kept it.
>that was his first character, and if you want to know his fate, I believe it's in the last thread.
His next character was a Heretek Sage that was tolerable until the player's desire to attention hog became to great and derailed the entire game, being captured by the cul we were investigating, having our names and identities pulled from him in the most 10 minutes (it was only 10 because I went outside to smoke a cigar with another player) of rp I have ever seen from a player, then we had to force an assault that went tits up (of course), skipping a whole lot. The part that matters is that he basically declared himself a heretek in front of our sage/team medic/team mom AND a fucking tech adept. Team mom promptly told the warband whilst we were recuperating (and the heretek had been dosed with obscura to shut him the fuck up because he was also blind, having had both his eyes plucked out, and couldn't talk because he was shot in the mouth at point blank range), and the guardsman in the party sold him out to the admech, literally.
His last pc was a... well, I can't remember, and it doesn't matter, he lasted 3 sessions. He wanted to play a jedi mockup, and the gm gave him allowance, even creating an "order" and allowing him to be a sanctioned psyker outside astra telepathica for xp. He was calm, reserved and all that jedi shit for a few games, then he sperged out because the sororitas wanted to destroy the warp tainted staff the mutant had left at our base, and he wanted to keep it.
It caused such a kerfluffle, and the ensuing nonsense afterwards, that he was voted out of the group entirely.

Went 3-0-1 with this yesterday. Format seems very fun.
Went 3-1 yesterday morning with a GU tempo deck built around energy counter synergy. Looking like energy might actually be a decent archetype in standard, from what the bonkers shit I was doing it seems like the support is there, someone just needs to find the right list for it
As for pulls, got the UR and GB fastlands, pretty excited about that. Promo was Inventor's Fair and pulled another Inventor's Fair in a prize pack, and got an Aether Hub, so it looks like I'm going all lands. Overall did pretty meh with value, but got some fun stuff I might try to turn into a cohesive deck.

How do you do dwarves well? Is the Gimli type of dwarf stale nowadays? Is disdain for elves overplayed?
I made them a slave race engineered and "owned" by the Elves, who use them for menial labor and crafting.

I play dwarfs that hate elves from time to time. But mostly I play dwarves that are honorable, wish to be a prideful member of their clan and try to achieve grate deeds.

Does anyone play 40k without Formations? Is it even viable or is it basically a handicap?
Wouldn't orks be more interesting with more variety?
Wouldn't there be industrialized orks with vehicles and armor that weren't made out of scavenged parts? With less of a Mad Max influence?
Can there be orks that work with alien auxiliaries like the tau? Orks aren't 100 percent genocidal are they?
Can orks have more of a motivation than to just fight? Maybe some orks see their role as the overlords of the galaxy and want to impose order ala the Beast. Maybe they see themselves as fighters and 'liberators' against un-orky influences like the Imperium, Necrons or Chaos?
Maybe orks see themselves as the protectors of the galaxy against the invading tyranids?
Maybe some even feel an urge to work with the Eldar due to their prehistoric Krork origins?
I feel like this kind of fluff would make the orks a more dynamic faction. These don't have to be complex thoughts, just simple identities and cultures certain orks could subscribe to.
Get the fuck outta here..
