I don't even care about value. I just want good fucking cards that are fun to play. CON2 is filled with unfun shit cards with multiplayer mechanics. God, mechanics that only affect one format should be outlawed. It's especially grating that the fucking shit assumes multiplayer means free-for-all and the only kind of multiplayer I play is attack-to-the-left, so I can't even use the multiplayer cards in multiplayer.

I haven't opened a single good card out of a CON2 pack. Not one. And by "good" I just mean "might be used in a deck". It's all just garbage that makes me angry. Fucking Fallen Empires would be better to open because at least Hymn is playable. CON1 wasn't nearly this bad.

That sounds a lot like the (potental) BBEG in my campaign. A low-level wizard who focuses on illusions and escaping from danger, because he's terrified of pain.

He does, however, use Alter Self to fuck with the party's plans whenever possible, and stalk the elf druidess, with whom he is obsessed.

(Don't worry, I cleared it with her out of game. She has a subtle yellow flag she can throw if realms start sounding magical.)

Yes, I played Mage: The Ascension where the Empire was using some magical beasts to control and make people slaves in some pretty fucked up way.

Also, someone has the Tales of Dark Eras? I'm looking for it everywhere and can't finde it. I know it's cheap but I really can't buy it for now because I don't have a credit card.

Anybody have experience playing belials brood? Me and the other gangrel are broodies now, nobody else really knows this except for a select few and they don't seem to give a shit. It's a larp. Any fun ideas or ways I can progress my character? I want to follow the beast in a way that won't get me killed too quickly

They weren't insulting or anything like that. I like them as people. They were very gracious about "It's okay, you're in-character, it's just a game", and "I just won't comment on this, pfffh". One of them even started talking to me in that voice you use to talk to retards, trying to give me advice which was probably genuinely helpful ("W-well, if I may suggest myself, OOC, because you clearly need the help, I would say you should just run a search for [goes on a cyberwarfare related tangent that's miles above my head]".)

I enjoy the game. I think the people are nice. It's not a question of that.

However, it's pretty clear that choosing to play a hacker while being the one person in the group who knows nothing about it was not smart. Frankly, I just felt really embarrassed the whole time, and it made roleplaying difficult.

Should I just stop talking in-character? Deal with the embarrassment? Just go with it? I just feel like a retard talking about that subject next to them.

that will not work. These guys aren't just actual professionals, they're among the most elite in the world, with near a decade of experience in military cyberwarfare under their belts. Reading "Hacking For Dummies" won't put me anywhere near a level they wouldn't consider chimpanzee-like, it'll just put me at a greater risk of saying something that would sound like I was trying to sound smart. Bringing myself up to their level is really not an option here.

What do you suggest?

So basically what I'm trying to say that I've unknowingly made a character which is supposed to be a pro at something in which I don't understand much in real life (which I think is legitimate, I don't think most D&D wizard players know much about spellcasting), except that EVERYONE ELSE IN THE GROUP happens to be a real life specialist on it. And it just... feels really bad, socially, to be that guy. I'm making a fool of myself every time I open my mouth in-character, and it's discouraging.

We ended up stuck in this resort where everyone was given cell phones, and the place had cameras all over the gif. Refuse to acknowledge his presence in game. Sure, he can show up with his character sheet, and tell you his character is doing this and that. Ignore any and all of his in-game interactions. In fact, tell the other players his character isn't even present.

If the players show interest in an NPC you take it from there. React to them, but don't force them into action.
