So commissar Garrick killed an ork and had a bigass powerklaw built into his arm. he seems to lift it easily and doesn't seem phased by its weight. Are commissars given drugs to make them stronger? How strong is the average human guardsman in the imperium?
>>49801807
>YARRICK.
fucking damn autocorrect.
>>49801807
According to everything I've ever read, commissars are no stronger than an average guardsman. I would assume that, when they installed they arm, they added other cybernetic implants to allow him to actually walk around and use it despite the weight. In the 40k roleplay books, if you get a cybernetic limb, they reinforce your spine and such so that you can actually use it without killing yourself.
>>49801807
It's probably a mix of spine-enhancements and just pure undiluted badassitude.
Also Yarrick may be a slight conduit for WAAAGH energy, due to becoming such a legend among the Orks. It could be that the Orks' belief in his badassery gives him enhanced strength.

I Like you, was he butthurt?
As I understand it, it was much easier in early editions of D&D to interrupt/break up spell-casting.
Is there a good reason for this change or is that just bad design?
>>49800213
they cant cast magic when they're dead
>>49800213
Yeah, you go and try to kill a high level wizard in D&D.
>>49800213
Interruptible casting was one of the best parts of older D&D editions. It meant that the caster actually needed the warrior in front of him to keep enemies from interrupting his spell, which meant that you could have higher-power spells without breaking encounter design, because you could give them a long wind-up time that the caster had to be protected for. Now it's basically point-and-click, which renders a large part of the fighter's role invalid, with the other parts being destroyed by Leomund's Tiny Hut or similar.
What is a fighter supposed to be thematically? Like a Paladin is a holy warrior and a cleric is a priest and a ranger is a woodsman and a barbarian is a brute but what is the governing archetype for a fighter?
>>49799631
A dude who fights bad things with sharp things. Or blunt things. Or pointy things.
He fights.

Read the 3e core book (link below). For the basics of combat, read this tutorial. It'll get you familiar with most of the mechanics.

Let us discuss the religions of theCreation, because why not. Specifically, the Immaculate Faith. Have you used sympatethic Immaculates in you non-Dragonblooded games?
>>49786324
There's a dynast running with my circle in the deep West, who is probably an immaculate believer. She is willing to commit outright blasphemy in the name of personal gain, though.
>>49786324
My Immaculates tend to be pretty much universally good people, even the nameless ones that get cut down trying to take on a Solar were just trying to do the right thing. I tend to focus on their conflict with the Fair Folk, rogue gods, and Lunars though.
Mark Rosewater has claimed that Kaladesh is his second favorite set. His first favorite set being Innastrad.
I wasnt playing Magic back when Innastrad was out, but from listening to Mark's Drive to Work podcast and reading the cards from the set I can see how it is one of the most well-constructed sets in Magic history.
So with that being said, would you guys say that Kaladesh ranks up there with Innastrad, as Mark believes? Or is Mark just jewing the Magic community?

STEP 1 Go to the last thread if you haven't looked at it. it has a ton of stuff, including filled requests directly posted to the board. .>>49716522 Look through the the posted open source pdfs and pics and stuff..
Files posted directly to 4chan are not added to Da Archive.
STEP 2 Grab your Documents: Da Archive is multiple documents.
Da Archive: Usually Getting Bigger. and hopefully better.
Da Archive Annex is where the newest links go before I scrub them and put them in Da Archive.
Da Wish List is comprised of unfulfilled desires. Please look through it and try to help.
STEP 4 Get a coffee or other beverage, get comfortable and browse through the blasted thing. It is only about 70 pages long. If you skim over the Personal Collections without really looking you will miss 10,000 pdfs.
STEP 7 If you want MORE, you can go to find more PDFs in storage here: http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/search/subject/PDF%20share/ and here: http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/search/subject/PDFs/
STEP 42
Please give as much information as you can when you make a request. The more information you give (cover, a link to product, name of designer/writer/publisher) - the more chances someone might recognize it and upload it.
If you post a list of requests, Please make them a column, not a sentence.
ie
Zombie Hookerz
Lysergia Fur, The AnthroBrit Invasion RPG
Slutty NPCs for Everyone.
Dirty Backstabbers
Step 44 Links that are blacked out will not be added to Da Archive.
STEP 5 Please be patient with the irrepressible urchins who request without looking first. They help bump the thread, and they want to look at something that's not porn. They might even read it. You don't have to answer them, although that also bumps the thread.
STEP 6 Rumors of Da Archivist being an A.I. from the Deep Web are unfounded. It does not have mysterious ulterior motives. He is a real person and a moderately well adjusted Luddite Amish geek who lives in Intercourse, PA; who hides his laptop in the hayloft of the barn with a solar panel.
P.S. - Remember, We are Better than all of the rest of the horrible internet and Good Manners ALWAYS gets more results. Wise up or please go elsewhere.
STEP Zillion Please post dead links and I will remove them to keep the archive up to date. Be specific, there are dozens of copies of some Pdfs.
STEP 3.14 If Anons wanted to contribute to this project but have nothing to share, they could be VERY helpful by making a list of folders in some of the Big Collections listed in Da Archive. This will improve ctrl-f searches.
Not fancy, just ; 7th Sea, Amber, Battlecars, Cthulhu, Deadlands, etc. It would help out a lot
Step 33 1/3 Anons could also help by going through the lists and checking for dead links and notifying the board.

Is dipping fighter as a war cleric worth it? How far should I go, and at what levels?
>>49809331
Into fighter? Probably not. If you manage the stats for it, dipping two into paladin to get Divine Smite would be decent, since you can go all cleric from there and have a ton of spell slots to work with.
>>49809044
I was looking at that one. Might be useful.

The Imperium may not be the best buts still the best that there is. In a galaxy where everything wants to kill you, a human, a oppressive regime is good. There's just other option for humanity if they're going to survive among the stars.
P.S. The Tau suck and will all die within next century.
>>49805151
>implying no is going to do anything about it
Welcome to the party. Chainaxes are in the corner.
They are totally right and I'm surprised rest of the Imperium didn't decide to leave the flesh behind. Is there any fucking benefit of having a fragile biological body?
>>49803869
You dont need a forge world's infrastructure to fix a minor wound.
>>49803869
Fleshy pleasures and emotions are nice.
because the imperium of man was lead by a man who honest to fucking god believed in HFY. The only reason why he didn't snap the mechanicus in to line is because he realized the imperium needs them and their manufacturing capabilities.
Do you think it's possible to include ninjas in your usual western fantasy setting without it coming off as really tacky?
Play up the peasant assassin instead of piling in as much katana warrior bullshit as possible.
Have them be sneaky underhanded cunts who, once cornered, generally aren't these dangerous master warriors we tend to envision them as. They might try a trick or two to escape, but they won't slice their opponent into 50 pieces with superior nihonese steel.
>>49803271
No. Only things that existed in western world are allowed. Like wizards and tolkien style elves.
Tolkien based elves on Japanese ninja. They live in ninja castles with all sorts of ninja tricks like fake walls, hidden passages, and swiveling floors.
He then based dwarves on the samurai, making them honorable and very traditional. Gimli was originally going to be named Gimuri, but that's already a Japanese word for toothpaste made out of seaweed so he changed it a little.
Tolkien really was the original weaboo.
Dumping.
