What would you say is a good way to run a gothic horror campaign? I feel that the usual cosmic/Lovecraftian schtick is wearing out its welcome with my group and I'd like to run something with more looming castles and fewer cultists.
Any ideas on how to go about this, or at least spice it up?
In the meantime, I'll be posting some appropriately dark art to set the mood.

I would like a class that outright specializes in expertise dice instead of it just being for a fighter archetype, but that might be more of a martial adept (swordsage/warblade/crusader) type deal than a warlord

Yes, edgy bondage elves are an actual army.
Their latest codex removed their big faction leader special character and made certain units no longer able to get the grenades bonus for charging through cover for no reason though, which pissed a lot of people off.
As-is, they are extremely fast and extremely fragile, and have poison and lance shooting letting them always have a chance at harming whatever they're targeting. They also have a special rule where they get stronger as the game goes on.

There are hints of new ALEPH vedic releases in the upcoming months, possibly a new starter next year, so it could be worth to wait a bit if you can. If you want to play vanilla ALEPH right now tho, at least the dakinis in the starter are kind of mandatory from a gameplay perspective, everything else can be purchased separately.
Units that I would consider mostly "safe" to buy, meaning they probably won't receive a resculpt in the foreseeable future, are the REM boxes, Posthumans, the support pack, Marut, the latest Naga and Dasyu and obviously the brand new Garuda spitfire.

Hey /tg/, my party has been playing this oceanic swords and sorcery campaign for a while now and we just got in possession of a town built on a boat. Right now we're trying to come up with a name for it, something you'd name a town but alludes to the fact that it's a boat. Any suggestions?
