This week's Monday Meeting Notes:
http://theonyxpath.com/scions-vampires-pugs-oh-my-monday-meeting-notes/
Let's make this too an accepting and safe space guys. Soon I'll sleep I'm sure, but before it, here have some more footage from the larping events I've been in. This is very noir and deep also.
#triggerwarning#
While I check my privilego and know these are all abilist, bodyshaming events...buzzwordbuzzword im over 100kg and unable to move my carcass properly!

That fucking pastebin holy shit.
"Transsexuals aren't mentally ill!"
>Endless castration, child porn, rape, torture, bestiality and abuse stories.
>>49875025
Aspel isn't transsexual, he's all manchild.
Post some common tabletop and/or fantasy or sci-fi cliches you're actually OK with
>Vampire hunter / exterminator of paranormal pests
>Wears a wide-brimmed hat
>>49874584
Fantasy
>The Frozen North
>Liches
>Not!Vikings and Not!Greco-Romans
Science Fiction
>long-dead forerunner civilizations
It's easier to run off cliches I don't like, because "cliche" implies there's not really anything going for it other than just being something you've seen a million times. If I come across a familiar trope but written in an interesting and dynamic way, the fact it's "cliche" probably won't even register.
>>49874584
>>49874721
It only becomes a cliche if you dislike it. By virtue of you not being tired of it yet, it's just a common trope.
>Crazy Paranormal/Extraterrestrial secret wars shit like goes in the middle of Bufu fucking nowhere.
>Some X-Com, Men In Black Gmen actually show up to figure out what the fuck is going on.
Not really a trope so much as it is common sense, but you'd be surprised how ridiculous and insane it would seem without it.
One of the reasons I stopped watching Steven Universe was that this shit never happened, no matter how much crazy shit happened. I mean, I'm not saying every setting should just turn into starship troopers or x-com whenever shit gets real, but it's be nice to have a sign that humanity isn't completely fucking retarded.
>a pack of ghouls is terrorizing a local village
>fight your way into their nest deep under the cemetery
>the lead ghoul agrees to stop raiding the town, but only if you marry his daughter
wat do

We purge
It's a trick, you'll become a ghoul as soon as you kiss her.
Or fuck her, whichever comes first.
I came here to gather XP.
What's your fav weapon, /tg/?
What's your fav fighting style?
Either real or fantasy go.
Everything other than arming sword or a longsword is tryhard edgy shit.
I love big ass fuck huge greatswords meself, but I've got nothing against a good ol fashion longsword either.
I have fallen in love with the long spear, but my favorite weapon and fighting style is 1.5 handing a bastard sword.
Who did your BBEG look up to when they were a kid?
>>49867410
A man that would betray his people to go rogue and found his own country.
This understandably pissed the BBEG off, who's making it a point to wreck the continent just to see his old idol either take advantage of the chaos or freak out.
>>49867410
His older brother.
Guy had a messed-up childhood, and within the span of half a century, his big brother was the only person in the world he trusted or cared about. Which ended badly when that same brother banished him for being an amoral warlock who carried out crazy experiments using resources from the wizarding school he went to. He basically jumped off the deep end after that, and actually hated one of the party members for sharing an uncanny resemblance to his beloved sibling.
>>49867410
Himself from the future. It was an "All You Zombies" situation minus the "Taking yourself back in time so he can impregnating his younger self so she can give birth to yourself so you can steal yourself to give yourself up for adoptation and become a time cop" thing.
anyone know a .pdf free version of Fragged Empire RPG system? Can't find it anywhere and I really need it. Thnks anon

I think I want to do skill monkey but I have been party face for the last two games and rogue or slayer feels like it would be a weak choice for a magic heavy game.

Cute dog.

To bad it's such a fag.
So what should the special traits that humans get be? Lets say that every race gets two, both generally positive, and that anything like ability score modifiers are something separate.
So, for Humans, I figured; when compared to Dwarves and Elves and the like, Humans are very brash and impulsive, they act as they think, if they think about what they're doing at all and aren't just going off of instinct.
To this end I've given Humans
Impulsive - +2 Initiative.
Now, they need one other special trait.
What could it be? More importantly, what does it do mechanically?
Notes of importance:
> The atmosphere of the game is meant to be cautious optimism; Noble-Dim if you will. Nothing edgy will be considered.
> The bonuses are to be broadly applicable; things that would be useful to any class of character. Nothing that explicitly makes them better at any one specific task, or at the very least it's an act that would be useful to a range of archetypes. No re-rolling failed casting checks, or +2 to picking locks, or anything like that.
>>49877970
You know, I don't even like HFY, but I thought at some pointwhile totally not thinking about creating my own systemthat they could have trait that gives them the ability, if they chose to, to put more dice/more points into a roll of their choice per day. Because of their extra ambition or will power or something like this. That still makes flexible, it could be used for anything.
>>49878105
I'm unsure if it would fit my purposes tonally, but it's a decent idea.
>>49878190
Why is that? I think it suits both your points of importance.
Hey /tg/, we've had a few of these before and a number of them have gone pretty well. Exactly what it says on the tin - magical items, flavor treasure, and loot. Let's post pictures and make up some ideas for some of these, shall we?
I'll start with a small dump - no particular type or theme, just interesting looking things, or shinies a bit more fun to describe than '10gp'.

Hey 40k players give me one good reason why you havn't moved over to the superior game of Bolt Action yet?

I like my Nazis with laser guns.
>>49863327
FRBR
>>49863275
It doesn't have Roboskeletons with zappy guns.
It makes no sense futuristic military equipment is an oversized slab of shit I mean look at modern military it constantly tries to reduce the weight and size of everything why 40K has to be so autistic? And Space Marines being such a massive target makes me wonder how can they even win any battle against Crons or Tau.

WAAAAAGH
I'm a fan of mechs when they're done well
>>49854934
Mecha are extremely unrealistic. There's nothing they can do what tanks cannot do better and in general they're just big walking targets that will get blown apart in any sensible situations. People who like mecha are overly excitable manchildren who think rule of cool trumps sensibility and get butthurt when told otherwise.
In addition, there are people who KNOW mecha are stupid and unrealistic and still like them. These are a bit ore honest in that they KNOW they're wallowing in filth. The real problem is that they see nothing wrong with it.
Mechafags are katanafags of science fiction.
