How many Riptides/FWtides equals one Imperial Knight?

I'm desperately trying to fluff a "good guys" marine chapter, and I'm starting to understand in a very first hand way why there are so few good guys in 40k.

Btw, would someone who knows Chapter Tactics be willing to point me to a good one for this force? They're a White Scars successor, and they do love their bikes and speeders, but they also like scouting, lightning strike, and they aren't opposed to dreads.

Bascially does anyone know a good chapter tactics for "poke and prod the enemy until you find the weakness then ram through them in a giant column"?

Honestly? Dark Angels. Not a chapter tactics per-se, but their staple is the Darkshroud, which gives itself wicked cover saves and gives nearby allies improved cover saves. You can prod in (relative) safety then blast with everything they have, which is a lot because they love plasma. They also love them some bikes because of the Ravenwing.

Bit they're total dicks and their successors are only successors on paper and therefore are also dicks.

I've been working off and on on a joint Imperial forces army. Basically my concept is that the army is primarily Imperial Guard acting as the system/sector defense force for a wealthy system of worlds that produce fine goods for the rest of the Imperium, most notably their fine wine.

The system is governed by a Knight house (I still haven't shelled out the requisite shekels for a Knight model yet) who have close ties to a nearby DA contingent who also lend aid in defense of threats and on campaigns from the larger Imperium. To commemorate this bond, the army is done up in primarily DA colors and it looks really nice. An interesting point to my fluff is that each member of the ruling family must submit at least one son per generation to be tested into the Dark Angels, and at least one to become a Knight pilot.

I'm still looking for a nice grape-themed contact sheet to represent the founding vineyard that they defend.

Jesus CHRIST these "King's Guard" look like the biggest bunch of incompetent fuck-ups in charge of guarding a royal that I've ever seen. Only one of those cunts is looking at me! One! Two of them are riding cunting horses at me! Two of them are playing fucking MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS!

I don't trust these faggots enough to determine what a weapon fucking looks alike, let alone safely retrieve one from my person. They'd probably cut their own jugular if their wives handed them a butter knife, assuming any of the sods was unlucky enough to have a sister who survived to adulthood.

Maybe their like that if the people playing them are incompetent at RP'ing. People who have actual imagination will most of the time try to make them actual characters, or at leas that's been my experience.

You bushwhacked him with no warning for what feels like cheap drama. No one likes getting one-shot because the GM thinks he's being dramatic.


A friend turning enemy can be a great plot hook but it sounds like you didn't handle it all that elegantly.

Important question for game day. I Sacrifice a foul emissary to emerge a Decimator of provinces. When does the trigger for the Emissary go on the stack? Will the eldrazi horror get the overrun effect from the pigs cast trigger? I think it triggers at the same time as the cast trigger from decimator and i can stack them as i wish but i am not sure

I wish Fantasy Lexicanum was up to date, so I didn't have to use shitty wikia...
