How would the Imperium of Man react to species such as the Helghast of Killzone or the Near Human's of Star Wars? Would they be considered Xenos, Abhumans?
>>50094069
The Helghast are basically the Krieg or Cadians before the Imperium found them. They'd be integrated and become yet another world to tithe.
Helghast would be tolerated fine as long as they agree to pay tithes, not conspire with Chaos/Xenos, and honor the Imperial Cult. Literally the only 3 things you gotta do in the Imperium. If they refused they'd be subjugated
Near-humans would be given case-by-case examinations like Abhumans. Approved species would be accepted as second class status, rejected exterminated
Within bounds of normal humanity.
What system would be good for playing pic related?

Black Crusade
MS DOS
Hi /tg/! NoobGM here, again. I was told that a good thing to do is to provide rough images of NPCs whom the players will be meeting, as it helps ground them better than a simple name and a description. I understand this partly goes against the whole "describe the scene," but I figure if it'll help, I might as well try it.
Specifically, I am looking for some characters they'll be meeting in Mistaken Identity -- the first prong of the Enemy Within campaign for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. Only one of them will definitely reappear in a later adventure.
>Josef Quartjin, River Boat Captain
An old friend of one of the characters. He's got a tiny little photo in the campaign module which gives him a beard and long hair. He is tall and muscular and forty years old. He has a large bristly beard that grows down over his huge belly. Josef has a jolly temperament and enjoys good company. He tends to drink whenever the players aren't around. He'll be taking them on his boat down the river.
>Max Ernst, Protagonist
Max Ernst is a professional protagonist. This means that he hires his "services" out to pick fights with people that rich nobles don't like. His services being a pair of hard-knuckled fists and a penchant for inflicting pain. He is a mean-looking, cold-blooded sadist and he wears black. His picture seems to be a short-haired, scarred man.
Part 2
>Gustav Fondleburger, Innkeeper
A very large and jolly fellow with a bald head and muttonchops. He always has plenty to say whether people are listening or not.
>Gunnar and Hultz
A pair of alcoholic coachmen.
>Lady Isolde von Strudlehoff
An arrogant, young noblewoman in ostentatious noble garb.
>Marie
Isolde's stern-faced Nurse Ratchet/Shame Priestess from Game of Thrones-looking bodyguard/chaperone.
>Janna
Isolde's mousey, quiet maid.
>Ernst Heidelmann
A skinny, shifty-looking student who's actually a cultist.
>Philippe Descartes, a Gambler
An adventurer and professional gambler from Bretonnia (France) with a pencil mustache and long, curly hair.
Got your captain right here, though the beard is a bit short.

Punchy Protagonist maybe?
So, /tg/, I am about to dive into running a campaign in a dieselpunk/eldritch horror setting i've been working on. Very little of the details have been worked out yet, but i could use some inspirational art if you've got it. Ideally, i'm aiming for a WW1 era aesthetic, but I will take whatever you can throw at me. I'll start by dumping what I've got.
Can someone here please explain to me what the appeal of Pendragon is? The only thing I've heard about it was that it was based on King Arthur and that you play multiple characters of the course of the game.
You get to play a chivalrous Christian knight and virtuously court chaste Christian maidens.
>>50093255
I'd rather play as a chaste Christian maiden and be virtuously courted by chivalrous Christian knights. What system do I play?
>>50093255
Wicked chivalrous.
What's your setting's Mexico?
>>50092895
North Dakota.

/thread
>>50092895
They're what I've always imagine Rozzaria to always be; various spanish speaking cultures thrown into a blender except this one has Santa Muerte style religion that superficially looks like Catholicism
Things you've always wanted to say to the Elf around the campfire?
"Look man, I really want to fuck your sister. Or maybe it's your mother. Or your grandmother, you haven't really made clear exactly what your blood tie is...."
>>50092795
Got wood?
>>50092795
Do you use the maximum pad, or the minimum?
Would you run a campaign for your co-workers?
>>50092406
My coworkers are pic related. You tell me.
>>50092406
only if its played over memos and every turn was due yesterday
>>50092406
I am.
Does anyone remember this movie? If so, what system would be good for running a campaign in it?
>>50092163
I liked the deviantart contest more than the movie

This.

How would you characterize Devotion Paladins vs Vengeance Paladins? What's the fundamental difference that separates them?
Personally, I would say that Devotion Paladins are defined by who they are, why Vengeance Paladins are defined by what they do. What I mean is that for a Devotion Paladin, what really matters to them is acting in the honorable and righteous way, even if that means they can't save everyone. Vengeance Paladins, on the other hand, don't feel that honor should be afforded to criminals, and care about the end results, rather than the means. This doesn't mean they would ever hurt an innocent person, however, nor does it mean they don't have their own code.

Superman v Batman
>>50092059
Batman's not really a good example, he never kills even when it would save countless lives (how many times has the Joker escaped Batman?). He's as goody two shoes as they come, wearing a bat costume doesn't make you a vengeance paladin.
I'm wanting to get into Warhammer Fantasy and am having a hard time deciding what Goblins to go with for an O&G list in The 9th Age. I just want to use one single type.
Advice? Forest, Night, or regular. I have five Night Goblins from the old "learn to paint" set but otherwise would need to start buying.
Which do you like the look of better? What sort of playing style are you looking for?
>>50093168
Not as fond of Night Goblins. Don't like Squigs, and although I like the moon they are mostly cloak.
Kind of like the idea of Forest, but the spiders don't look good to me. I haven't really found a good spider miniature, I'd much prefer something scary looking rather than a cheap Halloween rubber look most have.
Regular goblins are preferable visually. But they kind of suck I guess on the tabletop.
The bulk of my army will be Savage Orcs, I just need some Goblins to go along with them since I've found out with playing that they're just not enough.
>>50091923
Why did you think a decision like this warranted its own thread?
There's 2 pictures I've seen here that I can't find again.
One of them is something like, "You're being interrogated. The cop is arguing with a face he drew on his hand. He tries to hide it, but you see that it is your face."
The other one is a Xena Gif where she's talking to a terrible CG Sky-Whale and Sky-Lion that seem to be some sort of deity.
I'm a MTG Judge, I know a lot about Evangelion, and I've seen Doctor Strange already. Willing to answer any relevant or irrelevant questions in the mean time.

Is Asuka technically legal after Third impact?
>>50091670
Have you ever had to physically break up a MTG fight?
Mine is Bird's Opening.
>>50091526
Mine's the triple basketwoven corkscrew.
No one expects it.
Except of course anyone who knows the rules of the game.
>>50091526
My favorite is Hikaru no Go opening 1.

Although the one for season two is also pretty great.
Do you ever apply poison to your swords and other blades? Is it something a paladin could do without breaking his oath? Does it ever backfire on you?
firstly there't the issue of the poison 'keeping' and staying on the blade, meaning it's only especially useful if you know you're about to fight
secondly the poison would need to be extremely strong and fast acting to end a fight from a minor wound, if it's not fast then there's no real advantage and if it only works with a deep wound then why have the poison, if you inflict a deep wound you've already gained a bigger advantage than the poison would give you.
You should probably stick to poisoning people normally
Just make sure you don't lick it.
>>50091483
>if it's not fast then there's no real advantage
Sure there is. You just knick the fucker then run away like a huge coward.
