First off, that's just knights who do that. Paladins most likely spend their time reading Holy scripture, learning the Philosophy and theology of their lord, and meditating when not being goody two shoes.

Second, Knights are exclusively from noble houses that would teach that shit to their children, regardless of whether or not they were going to be a knight. Wizard's can come from all walks of Life, ranging from prince to pauper, as long has they have, or can gain, the ability to obtain magical textbooks and the time to study them.

Thirdly, Peasents are not inherently weak. They do hard labor all day, erry day, they get lean muscle for it. Sure they aren't exactly beefy McBuffHuge, but don't underestimate them.

Fourthly, magic spells are Bitchin as fuck and who needs strength when you can have golems/homunculi/enslaved demons/skeletons to do all your tasks for you. Good wizard can live In more comfort than anyone else.

Finally, Knights are over-rated and your job can be done better by a Man-at-Arms lowborn. Fighters and Barbarians FTW.

You forgot the important parts that define knighthood. Squires serve in the field alongside their masters, engage in the most advanced and intense combat training in the world starting from a very young age, and formally become knights at their physical prime. They constantly continue training throughout their service, through regular drills, hunting exercises, tournaments, jousts, and through the performance of their normal duties.

In muh dnd, they usually get the same hit die and similar weapon and armor proficiencies. At the same time, would you expect a bookworm to be as robust as someone who probably does hard labor for a living? That said, not all peasants are manual laborers or soldiers, so I'm not sure how useful it is to generalize in that regard.

ITT : Derailment

>Party has to stop this guy breaking into ancient vaults and gathering super weapons
>Manage to beat him to the next vault, camp it for a week, setting traps
>MFW they've forced a fight with the final boss on like the fourth session of the campaign
>Shrug, draw out the map, give them his stats, roll everything open
>3 level 6's plus a gold dragon wyrmling vs 3 level 5's and a level 10 decked out with magic items
>Dice go horribly against me
>All the minions fail all of their checks against a dc 13 fear from the oathbreaker paladin
>Their pet dragon recharges his fire breath round 1, they fail all 6 dex saves
>Party passes 5/6 dc20 banishment checks (one of the plot macguffins)
>They down everyone except the enemy Champion, including the BBEG, they're all bleeding out, party is practically unscathed
>The enemy JRPG party starts throwing potions around because no one was coup de grace'd
>Ended up having to action surge to recast banishment
>Finally get most of the party in the shadow realm, and kill the guy who wasn't
>But there's only like 6 rounds before the party all falls back out
>The enemy fighter is dead, the enemy cleric has no spells left, the enemy rogue is at 1 hit point from a nat 20 DST, and the BBEG has no spell slots left
>All the BBEG can do is crack the vault and flee before banishment ends
>MFW he had to give the party the treasure vault in order in the hopes of killing and robbing them later
>MFW I was expecting a TPK
>MFW I had to have the party warlock's patron show up to make sure they didn't just flee to the ass end of no where with the treasure, never to be found again

Hi /tg/. Could you help a depressed GM in need ?

Coming mostly from 40k (DH and RT), Call of Cthulhu and various homebrewed and immediatly forgotten systems, I'm searching for an easy to use ruleset fit for a Super-heroes themed campaign, or at least to master a string of episodic scenarios without necessarily restraining myself with an overarching plot.

I want my players to have fun, while also not overburdening myself with bookkeeping, endless modifiers, cryptic rules or having to write a system all by myself since I'm already splitting my brain upon a fantasy project right now .

Any recommandation would be welcome and much appreciated. I thank you kindly in advance.

Being an outdoorsman/ecologist, my favourite theme is rangers/woodlands/explorers. What are /tg/s thougthts on getting back into 40k, how to get back into it, which faction ec.
Assuming I'm not tight for money but not exactly richfag. Imperial Guard or the Sororitas is what I'm leaning towards at the moment. The guard are dead easy to start collecting, but I would prefer the sisters, love the lore/fluff behind them,. Only issues with the sisters is though are the metal models and the roster not having anything too heavy.
What are your thoughts?

See, the good thing about your 2 options is that they have a great reason to be allies: they are literally fighting for the same team. So you can get a commissar and some conscripts to get you through the wait for plastic SoB, then fluff them as a penal legion that Commissar not!Schaeffer is deploying alongside the Sisters to bolster their faith once more. Plus you can also waifu your Commissar with your Canoness.

See me, I love Eldar and Orks. Planning to grab some Boyz and a Warboss and fluff them as Bad Moons that are being manipulated by the Farseer into being cannon fodder.

>DM's gf first try, has clearly some problema with the character sheet
>DM belittles her constantly, humiliates her, scoffs at her at every wuestion

This is all in the first ten minutes of the game, making us all lose about one hour time and basically coercing a poor girl to play his stupid game

I don't even know these guys and I felt an unyelding rage about how he treated his girl. My gf is in the game too and she clearly said that if i ever talked to her like that she'd drop my ass instantly

But what about the life of a tarrasque? I'm talking both the grown life and how a tarrasque is born.
What do they do before they're powerful enough to be considered the embodiment of destruction?
How does the tarrasque think? They're neutrally aligned yet are incredibly destructive, why?
How does it's biology work?

Tarrasques are created immediately grown and powerful, with a single achievable objective in mind. Once they achieve the objective, they just go berserk and need to be put to eternal slumber because they are indestructible. Shame you mortals weren't there to see that one time a Tarrasque got out of control so much that it couldn't be forced into hibernation, so they created another Tarrasque with objective of forcing the previous one into submission so that it could be put to sleep. The new T succeeded, and then got out of control itself. This shit repeated like five or so times before they managed to hibernate them all. That makes for 7 Tarrasques slumbering in a single area.

I hope this answers both "Why is an angel stationed in Acheron?" and "Why can't we dig here?", dear mortals. Look for treasure elsewhere.
