bigger bombs can send more matter further back in time, and can travel further into the future

Well if that's how your party rolls then that's just how it is. They can do whatever they want as long as they know there will be consequences for their actions and the Dm actually enforces (reasonable) consequences and doesn't just let everything slide. While no fun allowed Dm is no good, overly permissive Dm is worse. Just like life there should be consequences, and then they have to deal with them. If you steal you may get caught. If you fight the guards you may die/get thrown in Jail. Etc.

It can add to dramatic tension for sure, but if it's optional rather than standard, then it has to be jsutified to some degree; such as "You take a risky move to defend".

I don't know...
Rolling implies action, but defence is more passive. Contrast with defensive actions like parrying and dodging, things most systems handle through rolling. It just seems wrong to roll to do something passive.

She is wearing a white kimono top with a red hakama style skirt, black stockings and a pair of geta sandals with only one "tooth" (apparently that is what the wooden risers on the bottom of the sandals are called.) She also has a white rope tied around her shoulder in a bow like fashion (don't know if that has a name or not.)
She is holding an iron kanabō with a pair of gohei tassels tied onto the ring at the end of the handle.
She has pointy ears and short horns. Her hair is cut short and is parted around her horns.

I feel like the Blood and Dark Angels probably changed their names. Something about blood and Dark seems out of place with how the original legions were named and more suited towards there Primarchs. Also I don't think that the Iron Warriors or Night Lords ever changed their name.

The fluff for the Dark Angels, White Scars, and Blood Angels hasn't been released yet in a big book, so we'll have to wait for those before we can learn their early legion history.

The only Loyalist legion that we know for sure never changed their name was the Imperial Fists, and that's because they earned it very early into their service on Terra, and Dorn seemed to like it enough to not change it.
