/tg/, I'm a dabbling writer and I've been thinking of a setting where, in the 90s, Fae-kind was starting to emege all of a sudden. Territories governed by the Fae began rapidly growing forests and occasionally, his would happen right in the middle of cities and airports, causing havoc on an immense scale.
Now, I'm actually not too creative and like to pull in ideas from a multitude of sources, so what ideas would you be willing to share /tg/?
You have a setting. What kind of story are you trying to tell? Is it somehow unique to the setting? What themes, identities, relationships, and conflicts does the setting allow you to explore that a more conventional setting might not?

Fuck off, /lit/. Sometimes it's fine just to have something for the sake of it being cool.

Fuck off, OP. You're a douche and don't belong here.
So, due to miscommunication between me and the GM I have unwittingly created a character who is not a class cannon but genuinely completely useless.
And guesses how to salvage a character who can't fight, can't sneak, can't lie, can't break the rules, can't talk to girls and faints at the sight of an enemy?

I wonder if that torso and those legs are compatible with regular Contemptors.
The king asks the party to handle a new cult that's formed. Its followers are extremely polite, have a ton of children, and believe in easily disproven nonsense. What does the party do?
Banish them to the western lands
I ask the king exactly how he wants them dealt with, and what is his endgame.
I need some clarification before taking action.
Why's the king give a shit as long as they're paying taxes?
How do you deal with autistic players at the table?

The socially inept sped type or the actual disease? One answer: kick them out.
What is Godbound? Is a OSR style high fantasy game using simple mechanics and the Dominion system to reflect powerful characters that make decisions with lasting consequences.
"Godbound is a game of divine heroes in a broken world, men and women who have seized the tools that have slipped from an absent God's hands. Bound by seeming chance to the Words of Creation, these new-forged titans face a world ravaged by the mad ambitions of men and the cruel legacy of human folly."

I've been playing Godbound now for a few months and it's been a blast.
It's mechanics for minute to minute action are dynamic, allowing for player creativity with the Miracle/Effort system.
When it comes to downtime, the game has a Faction System that works similarly to other Sine Nomine games, Faction's have Features, Problems, Interests, Power.
In other Sine Nomine Games, players never really had a means of easily affecting entire factions, but in God Bound that goes right out the window.
So what kind of Godbound have you guys made? What kind of divine shenanigans has your pantheon gotten into?
What kind of abominations have you made using Dominion?

A friend of mine introduced me to the game and the second I looked through the options I started to get ideas. Like for example our big god for the setting is an earth goddess who after a huge battle with the living manifestation of time went into a coma. So slowly her dreams became living things and her god husband god of artifice would shape these beings into what he felt she meant to create. So we have gugs who couldn't quite be forced into being a less nightmare look so they've kept they're strong connection to the goddess and they'd often act according to what kind of dreams the comatose goddess would have.
One Ork warboss could solo all primarchs + Emperor in his prime.

So, how do I run a cool game in Not-Jamaica?
I honestly just want to use my bombin' Jamaican accent for all the NPCs, but yeah, I'd like to hear some cool ideas for some tings they might find.
>>50150655
>I honestly just want to use my bombin' Jamaican accent for all the NPCs
to be honest using 'this thing seems kind of cool' as the basis for a campaign tends to lead to campaigns which die really quickly
Zombies. Lots and lots of zombies. Jamaica is one of those places where a lot of stuff got mashed together and we ended up with Voodoo. Works better in games without a lot of magic, because in most high-magic games, zombies are a fucking joke.
Disease. Emphasize that if they are white they will probably die. The Caribbean is a nice place nowadays, relatively speaking, but once upon a time it was where you sent people you hated because you wanted to give them a post that would probably kill them. Works better in a game without modern medicine obviously.
Crime and grinding poverty. Ten years ago, the per capita murder rate was damn near 6 per 100,000. That means that about 1 in 20k people in Jamaica got murdered. Also, other crimes, such as drug trafficking and sexual assault, and the overall police corruption and ineffectiveness that lets this state of affairs continue. Obviously these are modern numbers, not sure how this would work for historical games set in, say, age of piracy.
Plantations. In a modern game, they're old, abandoned, and spooky. In a more historical game, they're a breeding ground of disease and slave resentment.
Rough terrain. The mountains are lush and beautiful. Tracking a spy/escaped inmate/runaway slave through that sure would suck, wouldn't it.

Should I feel bad?
>>50150345
Only if you aren't a psycho or as >>50150370 said an US soldier
>>50150345
You should feel bad but not guilty.
Kids died and that was your fault, but you had no way to know and everyone trying to guilt you with that is an asshole.
Make it a learning experience for your character and have your rogue scout the place more/avoid big AoE if you don't know about what collateral damage you may cause.
If the weave hold on to living things ,like hornets to a pop-sickle.....why is no one trying to put enchantments on living stuff?
>NO NOT WOODEN STAFFS!
I mean, put enchantments on bugs and shit, or puppies!

Living things tend to be too delicate and/or high-maintenance for the type of person who would be decked out in magic gear from head to toe.
And if you add more magic to make them indestructible, you'll create the next Tarrasque.

Nephilims, that 3c cycle from FRF, the big creatures 3c cycle from Alara; basically a lot of stuff.
I'd really like to try and play Ambassador if my group didn't had people that minmaxed sometimes. I fear they would play the most unfun things they could.

Is it still Mary Sue Princess battle edition? I don't even know who won if voting took place. Neah, now it's No Shave November Edition. Looks like Ussa already has a jump on us all.

Are there any guides or at least good examples of how to make shapeless swirly magic magickness / energy swirls?
>>50143528
>how to make shapeless swirly magic magickness / energy swirls?
Well. Not sure what you mean.
But you can get all sorts of elementals as miniatures or markers for spell effects for different games.
As for making stuff yourself, anything goes. I guess you could start with a wire armature and some hot glue for blobby stuff and roll out some putty and arrange it somehow while it dries.
Milliput might be good for stuff like this since it dries rock hard.
Look up some tutorials on sculpting fire.
>>50143622
yeah, that's similar to what I meant. something like Nagash's base ghosts, just without faces. swirly stuff.
