Do you have any special or unique dice?

Anyone ever had custom dice made for them?
I have for card mats, but not for dice.
What are some things adventurers could find sealed away for 10,000 years that are NOT world destroying villains?

I've got an economics assignment where I have to write a quick little essay about a product that involves answering several listed questions. I've got most of them down, but
Mainly, I was wondering if you all would consider the TCG/CCG industry an oligopoly (basically when very few companies control vast amounts of the market share (like cable companies)).
You know what, I might as well post all the questions.
1. What is the product? [Hint: this can be as broad as you want, like computers, TVs, cars or as brand specific as possible, such as Twinkles, iphone. Think about how you will answer the questions below before you pick your product].
2. What are the substitutes and complements for this product?
3. Is the price elasticity of demand greater or below 1? In other words, how sensitive are the consumers to this price change in this product? [Hint: best to be support by news article, news report, financial report, journal articles. If you do have support, please add proper citations and bibliography section]
4. Is this product a normal good, inferior good? Why?
5. Describe the market competition for this product (perfect competition, oligopoly, monopoly, etc) Who are the main producers?
6. What factors would affect the demand for this product?
7. What factors would affect the supply for this product? What inputs does it require?
Thanks in advance for your help. I've got most of them down except the one about the competition but if any of you have any special insights that'd be appreciated. Due in a little under 3 hours so I've got some time.
Probably an oligopoly, certainly not a perfectly competitive market. May be a monopoly if you're talking about a specific game. If you're talking about the market of card games between players themselves and not between producers and players, then that would be a perfectly competitive market.
>>50490711
Out of curiosity you considering only physical card games like MTG and Yugioh, or are you including online card games like Hearthstone?
Either way I'd say you're right by saying oligopoly, but I feel like there's more competition with the online cards at the moment.
>>50490913
I am considering online card games.
Hello again, /tg/. It's been about a month since my last greentext, so I thought I'd let a few sessions build up before I released the latest edition of Perma-DM Gets To Be Player Storytime.

As usual, thanks to Yung Betus for DMing and screencapping these damn things.
Dramatis Personae for new readers:
Yung Betus: Our new DM who started his own campaign for the first time and is busting his ass to keep everything together.
Caleb Keane: Played by me, a corrupt preacher who's ostensibly sworn to Pelor, is in fact a high-ranking Warlock in the cult of chthonic vengeance deity Tzelzeveld.
Miles Boswell: Played by J. Homosexual fantasy gypsy-jew elf, infamous bandit prince and master thief. Honestly not that different than J IRL.
Sir Peter Peterson: Played by A. This hilariously over-the-top parody of a smitebot paladin is completely mute, speaking in sign language that Miles translates poorly. Was sent to arrest Miles.
When we last left off, the party had just met bullywug wizard Long-Toes Johnson, visited what was left of the town of Cloaksdale, and fled from a massive suit of demonic, blood-filled armor. Shortly after, Keane and the local nerdy death mage Lucas had a meeting regarding exactly what to do...and what to do right now is get to that temple as fast as humanly possible and kill that green dragon.
So...
>While Miles and Peterson trudged back through the woods (having gotten themselves completely lost after fleeing the Scary Death Armor) Keane had been in town for several hours, met with Lucas, and returned to his room
>He had to speak with his patron
>Urgently
>Unfurling his canvas mat and setting up his array of black candles, Keane traced the sigil of communion with Tzelzeveld Oathmaker using a stick of deep red chalk
>meditating within, he saw the thousand faces of Tzelzeveld in the misty abyss between worlds
>"Lord Tzelzveld-In-Chains, there's an urgent matter at hand. An entity of great n' terrible power has slain Bosch, and now seems to be targeting the rest of our order...what action do you advise?"

>Keane breaks the communion, and catches what little sleep he can afford before setting out to slay a dragon
>As the reeeeing of the bullywugs stirred the swamptown awake, Keane and the returned duo of Miles and Peterson made sure they were provisioned and prepared for what would surely be one grueling battle
>From what they could tell, the dragon was an adolescent Green by the name of Kaalrhot
>He presented himself as a living god to the savage lizardmen of the backswamps, and he demanded blood sacrifice in his name
>And he had so far been tough enough to take all comers
>However we had on our side a high-ranking Tzelzeveldi cultist, an infamous master thief, and the ridiculously powerful faith-powered terminator that was Peterson
>So we were confident in our chances
>Step by squelching step we powered through the swamp, slowly noticing as the trees grew thicker and the ground grew drier
>And the sky grew dimmer...and dimmer...and dimmer
>Until it was the dead of night
>At 1:45 PM
>This was the Ebon Wood, and Keane could taste in the air a magic so vast and ancient that this was no work of any mortal or immortal magus, its just "kind of how it is here" as our DM explained it
>Peterson's halberd emitted a soft glow, sufficient to light the way in this caliginous thicket

It was shit. We went on this epic journey to defeat the dragon that dispossessed our homes only for some jackass DMPC we met 4/5 of the way through the game to kill him and start demanding a stash of our loot.
I tried to find players for an all Dwarf campaign once, it ended in failure.
its a small market I guess.

So what did happen with the sons? It's exam season so I haven't has the time to check? I thought they beat the shit out of the wolves? And everyone was happy for new models. Why are thousand son fags cryin?
So how does WoM book work for CADs?
Is its own codex or can I take a Chaos Lord with Tzaangors as my troops?

/tg/ makes base class. First 14 decide what it does, dubs overturns one feature, trips rewrites whole class, quads get pegged
>>50489752
Pegged by who?
>>50489752
Wide Reach: Character hits in a wide circle around themselves when swinging with polearm, or great axe, or get extra range in a st right line when using a spear
The class is really good at throwing things.
This includes but is not limited to: weapons made for throwing, weapons not made for throwing, miscellaneous objects, and people.
What wargames do a good job at portraying combined arms?
>>50488240
Warhammer 40k, apocalypse only though. Only than do younget the feeling of tanks, airplanes and troops all clashing at once
>>50488320
40k is garbage at all scales.

Real life. Join the marines son.
How does this make you feel?
>>50487693
Indifferent, because OCG metagame is always going to maintain that ratio of tier 0, tier 1 and tier 1.5 decks every year more or less since 2003-4.
>>50487693
I don't know what this is, but the term "Zoodiac" makes me smile
The entirety of my emotions is simply that the dragon girl is cute.
Anyone ever played in a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure RPG before? How was it and what system did you use?
>>50486585
I've been both a player and GM for the d100 system from the /sss/ threads, we had a pretty good time with it. One of my favorite PCs from those games was a Flamenco dancer with a stand that could turn small objects into knives and whip them around with telekinesis.
>>50486585
I played Jojo in Mutants and Masterminds 3e twice with the same GM and world.
Of course the other players weren't very good at roleplaying and the lack of attendance led to the game being canceled twice in a row.
MnM 3e ran the game pretty well though.
>>50486585
I'm currently running a jojo campaign set in modern times. Donald Trump kidnapped the party's friend, so now they're trekking to New York to get them back
/tg/, help me. One of the PCs is going to have a date with an alchemist. So, now I need alchemical innuendo.
>he showed you his beaker and you played with tubes and funnelsI'm rubbish at it
Have you tried not being retarded and just having the characters act like people?
>>50486579
dude, that would be boring
>>50486535
>you worked the mortar so hard and with such passion the magic oozed from it in gushes
>>50486579
I can. This time I decided to make it a comic relief.
>>50486625
How could I not think about mortar
I'm running a d20 modern campaign for my dad, he bought all the books for it. While the system isn't great it's not intolerable and it's not part of the issue. The issue is I just feel like I can't do a modern gsme that well. He made a geologist character and a doctor character and he wanted the campaign yo be something like out of Falling Skies where aliens land and fuck shit up and resistance has to fight back.
So I did one session where he went to his old professors house cause the guy had found a weird gem, and when he gets there the professor is dead and the cops are on their way. They run away, go to woods where the professor said he found the gem, and find more of them. They've also got a business card for some optics company with a date written on it that they found on the professors body.
The issue is, I don't know where to go next with this. I had this vague idea of the stones being "quantum stones" that this optics guy is using to do research into another dimension, where he makes contacts with the aliens.
For the alien invasion part I've got a cool "under the dome" type effect where they put a dome over half of Montana, nothing can get in or out while the aliens try to harvest what they came for. So blowing up the shield generator would be a great campaign goal (cause once it's down the air force could easily btfo the aliums. )
Any advice? I just feel incapable of running a plot heavy game like this. Also my dad seemed to want his geology skills to come into play so I'm trying to think how to incorporate this as well.
>>50485111
Draw inspiration from Artemis Fowl, but with aliens instead of fairies.
Damn it, forgot to add that the first session ended with them being taken hostage by dudes on blsck SUVs, after they got back to the parking lot at the hiking trail. I was hoping to bring in my little brother and his characters here , cause they are,ex police. The characters are also on the run from the cops because there is stuff trying to frame the geologist dude for the professors death.
Should I try to do an intro session for my brother, or just say fuck it, this is where you are and what you're doing., here's your cue, and start them off together? I mean I am the kind of RPer who doesn't mind the GM saying "yeah your character starts out at X wanting Y and just a few minutes ago you were doing Z" cause it makes, for, more interesting introductions without the GM having to railroad you through something first.
>>50485142
Never read those but I'll look them up on Wikipedia.
Hey. It's the WFRP fag from a few weeks ago. My game's been delayed by a series of holidays, but we're finally getting back together this weekend. We're getting into the Cthulhu-style mystery part of the adventure.
Advice I need from CoCKs and other GMs... how do you keep the mystery going without giving away too much? What's your policy on red herrings? If any of you have played The Enemy Within, do you have any direct advice?
>I'm GM
>Campaign Module: Shadows Over Bogenhafen
Five Players:
>Dwarf Student with ridiculous close-combat abilities
>Dwarf Watchman who constantly bumbles into traps (recently blinded himself before the boss fight)
>Human Squire with a short temper, but is generally honorable and is the unspoken 'leader' (because his player is always the first to talk)
>Human Burgher who is a greedy coward (also the only player to know the system)
>Human Vagabond with thief connections
The players have just discovered the unfortunate secret of the town -- the demonic ritual temple in the sewers of Bogenhafen. This is when this adventure takes a turn from DnD to Fantasy CoC. I am finding that I am running out of funny voices and different accents from around the British Isles to do for my NPCs, which kinda sucks.
The players seemed to enjoy the Schaffenfest. I had to come up with rules on the fly for their participation in the Saponatheim Tournament, as they stole knight's armor and competed. They did not seem to enjoy "dungeon" dive in the sewers, which is fine by me, as I think dungeons are contrived and we will avoid them in future.
>>50485050
Red herrings are great, don't be shy in using them. Eventually your players will start to doubt everything and look gift horses in the mouth, as it should be in a proper spooky mystery. They should never be too sure about an answer they come to and doling out contradictory information via npcs and texts/books/etc can help. One thing I tell my players is "Just because he told you something, doesn't mean he's telling the truth, or that he's even accurate." Just because you're he all knowing GM doesn't mean the npcs share the same knowledge. I also throw in hefty amounts of bias depending on the npc, their lot in life and who they are interacting with.
>>50485686
I worry about them not even recognizing clues if I give them too many fucky red herrings
>>50487662
Shouldn't that be apart of the mystery? Using their own deduction skills supplemented by PC skills to figure out what's what.
I love Star Wars and my only tabletop experience is a year of DnD 5e. Is this game any good?
>>50484626
If you like the D&D 5e here's a link to a Star Wars homebrew that uses 5e system.
https://www.scribd.com/doc/278947924/Star-Wars-D-D-5th-Edition-Conversion
>>50484831
I don't want 5e adapted to Star Wars, I want to know if the Star Wars RPG system is any good and if it's fun to play.
>>50484626
>>50484909
It's great, but it's a little hard to grasp if you're jumping from 5e to it, not because the game itself is particularly complex, but more because it's very different. Once you do start to understand it, it's a lot of fun. Probably the best Star Wars rpg out there, and definitely the best one at feeling like Star Wars, rather than a Star Wars flavored version of another system.

t's the perfect time to post this again. I have finally finished the last two planned Archetypes for the Broken Shackles martials.
The Knight of the Patchwork Banner is an archetype for the Unchained Cavalier. This archetypes is simpler than the others, merely removing the Mount class feature for the Brawler's martial flexibility, a few extra Oath choices, and a large banner that incorporates multiple banners at once rather than being able to change them out.
The second is the Construct Tinkerer. A gunslinger archetype that loses half of its deeds for a construct companion. This companion comes in three forms, a copter, a small hound like construct, and a heavy lifter. Over time the Tinkerer is able to upgrade his construct companion in a variety of ways. Including spitting acid, blocking line of effect, an afterburner, and more.
These and the entire Broken Shackles Martials can be found here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pUevSnzc65Xw2cx3ah7iL7s1BBx0bVeF8xKlL0uFIcQ/edit?usp=sharing
Thank you everyone for your support during development over the last few months. I hope that as soon as I test play this I will be able to approach a 3pp publisher to get these out there. It means a lot to me all the kind words and use of my system.
This was the original scope I had lain out for the project and it finally is accomplished.
Now the question is where to go next?
>Ritual Magic system to allow martials limited spellcasting
>Unchained Barbarian Redo
>Unchained Brawler
>Unchained Slayer
>My own autistic system that isn't the hellhole that is Pathfinder
>Book of Goblinoids
>>50484863
The Book of Goblinoid is a pet project of mine that I worked on a while ago.
Including the following:
Races:
>Bugbear
>Gubbins (aquatic goblins)
>Fleshed out Monkey Goblins
>Brawdwins (Native Outsider Goblins)
>Kojacks (Half Bugbear/Half Hobgoblin)
>Gremlins (Half Goblin/Half Hobgoblin)
>Meretroll (mistaken for a troll, actually a larger hairless bugbear)
Classes:
>a summoner archetype focused on barghest
>barghest speaker witch archetype
>goblinoid bloodrager & sorcerer bloodlines
>druid & ranger archetypes using goblin dogs
>neutral evil anti-paladin archetype
>goblins oracle mystery
>Bugbear shaman archetype dealing with their weird undead culture
>Bugbear "born into death" oracle curse
I fucking love goblinoids.
In light of the recent discussions about alignments, fixing settings, gods, and preventing threads from falling into absolute nightmares, here's a reminder thathope is an illusion.
