Does anyone have the clear PDF from RPG.net? Help? Too poor. Too poor to play RPGs.
Why bother? It's a gallon of piss anyway.
Yeah, Nobby 3E is better even if it looks like shit.

Don't waste your money or your time, anon. The art's shit, and the game is kinda lame.
Hey /tg/, lets make a super creepy and scary setting, with each post adding a SPOOKERIFFIC idea. Here, I'll go first:
>Everything was super nice and fine until the SPOOKY DEATH fog rolled in. Anyone who goes into the FOG gets really scared because its so spooky and dark. And people die in it because they trip over rocks and die, since they can't see in the FOG.
>>55239621
>A SPOOKY ghost twists his way in the fog
>If you meet him he gets you all ectoplasmy and sends you out of the forest with Dickhead on your forehead
>When people die in the fog, their corpses are made into disguises for the SPOOKY criminals who summoned it.
>The curse of the fog prevents ones' soul and awareness from passing on when they die in the fog unless the criminal is "unmasked"
>>55239621
>In the deepest, darkest depths of the FOG, there exists the FOG STALKERS
>They follow weary travellers day and night, stalking them with out rest. Nobody knows who they are, or what they do.
>Travellers in the FOG who pass out, awaken to find juice boxes and crackers, along with a akwardly written note, explaing how much the writer likes the traveller, but is too embarassed to approach.

From 15 to 20 people. Pub with beers, precels and french fries. Once a week for 5 hours.
So far pretty cool but there are only 2 guys bringing most of the games, usually around 15-20 titles to chose.

What would best system for Crossed campaing be?
Apocalypse World

GURPS

I'd say all flesh must be eaten system.
Does it make sense for fantasy and sci-fi movies, books, and games to exist in settings where magic, FTL space travel, elves, or aliens exist already?
Yes.
>>55238523
You already live in a world where 'real life' stories are greatly embellished. Even serious dramas about real life prices problems have all the boring life maintenance cut out and the humans are always way more passionate, or funny or emotional than regular people.
Any /tg/ friends go to cons?
Which ones do you go to? What do you look for? Any cool stories? Do you dress up as anything /tg/ related? How has attending affected your gaming?
This past weekend was pax and dragoncon.
I got hooked on games from demos in the gaming section. FFG always has good demos and I've gotten into a lot of their products from their demo guys.
>/tg/ doesn't like cons
;~;
>>55237583
I go to a few cons in the DC area. Mostly anime cons and comic cons, but those still often have some strong /tg/ presence with magic drafts and other games.
If you went to a con in DC and saw an Elite Knight from Dark Souls, odds are good that was me.
Stat me for Deathwatch /tg/
>/tg/ do something for me because I am lazy and I won't even say please
ftfy
also, no

Take GK from Demonhunter
Add +30 to everything.
Stranded on a bright beach
Sent off in despair
A victim to Bolas
Cast out to nowhere
Hear stomps in the distance
What on earth could it be?
I shook the blur out from my eyes
It's the warrior Huatli
There she was on the dino
I heard the terrifying yell
And I was thinking to myself
"She don't do much for a five mana spell"
And she had her spark lit
And it showed her the way
But she can't get her longed freedom
She's here to stay
Welcome to the plane of Ixalan
Such a lovely place (such a lovely place)
Such a lovely Jace
Magic binds you to the plane of Ixalan
Any time of year (any time of year)
You'll find dinos here
The pirates are sick and twisted, and they've brought their friends
Got a lot of glimmering treasure
Assorted odds and ends
For a treasure cruise reprint, i'd surely bet
Some delve to remember, some delve to forget
So i called up MaRo
"Give us bolt again"
He said "we've had nothing but lightning strikes post the days of m10"
Still I dream of a comeback
Of mono red burn
MaRo tells me don't be afraid
We're due for a return
Welcome to the plane of Ixalan
Such a lovely place (such a lovely place)
Such a lovely Jace
Illusion it up at the plane of Ixalan
What a nice surprise (what a nice surprise )
Legend rule applies
Mirage Mirrors on the ceiling
The blue thing in ice
And she said
We're all just prisoners here
Its a plot device
In Vraska's chambers
They gather for the feast
They stab it with their steely pikes
But they just can't kill the beast
Last thing i remember
I was running for the door
I had to find the passage back to the plane
I was at before
"Relax" said the pirate
As the ship began to heave
"You can planeswalk any time you like but you can never leave"
>>55235758
Pretty good. You actually made me look forward to playing Ixalan draft Anon
Fan fucking tastic
>>55235758
It's a shame the formatting went wonky, otherwise this would have been perfect.

It looks like each of the flip-artifacts are in the gamble pile for the Rowdy Crew artwork.
What do you think the dagger is going to do?
What about the orange necklaces?
>>55233871
Well, there's clearly one for each tribe. The Primal Amulet is obviously for Merfolk, and ties into their spell-slinging subtheme. The map is for pirates and works in with their treasure.
Thus, the Dagger belongs to the vampires and will probably be something dealing with lifegain to build charges flipping into something that creates tokens. The Necklace belongs to the Sun Empire, and may do something similar to the Amulet, but for creatures instead, and the flip side may simply be more hardcore ramp adding WRG to your mana pool or something like that.
>>55233975
The amulet is probably gonna care about total power or something. Maybe it's an equipment that flips into an anthem land?
>>55234033
Eh, so far the flipside lands seem to be formatting like standard ones, just with very strong effects. I suppose it's a question of if it'll be cheap and designed to trigger early to help you cast your dinos, or if it'll be reliant on you having a bunch of big dinos out to flip and then buff them further. Both seem like a possibility.
I'm more confident about my prediction for the vampire one. Ticking up with lifegain and then flipping to make tokens seems pretty solidly like what their faction is about.
I have been playing online in overwatch and many other games Lon multiplayer but I don't have gold is this a glitch I'm just confused
Also I can go in party's and everything else except getting the free monthly games

So I had an idea for an encounter wherein the players are split up, and through an illusion end up meeting back up but they each see each other as monsters and fight each other. I'll overrule any player deaths so that no one actual dies and chalk it up to it being an illusion. My question is, how should I handle the combat so that the players don't immediately realize they're fighting each other without sending each player to a separate room?
>>55232767
If you can't trust your players to do it straight and not metagame, the problem is the players, not the situation.
Oh, that's not the problem at all, I was actually hoping to create a plot twist for the players as opposed to just their characters.
>>55232767
You are going to have to employ intricacies, and have everyone play their game separately.
You could fairly easily have everyone enter an area and see hobgoblins, and mediate in, but you will have to employ some 4th dimensional warp fuckery on your gadgets to do it.
I'm thinking of going out and trying a DnD 5e adventure league cause i'm too autistic to find a second person other ways.
Any red flags I should look out for?
>>55232727
playgroup* not person
>>55232727
>DnD 5e
HUGE red flag right there.
>>55232727
I dunno, maybe put it on Roll20. Make sure you get certified and whatever through WotC or whatever, get your DCI number and all that.
Player redflags, ehh, I guess any in general you might look for already. AL stuff is really focused on the main adventure and if you have anyone that goes off and does their own thing or at least tries to without awareness of others you'll have to figure out your own shit and get it back on track.
You'll probably get a lot of gimmick characters. People aren't going to be too dedicated to their characters during the first couple levels.
ITT we post music and other anons have to make Adventures/Quests/Areas/Items and Characters based off the song.

playing in a 5e game i just reached level 10 and i have no magic items
is this normal or should i be concerned
>>55230646
5e was designed with Magic Items being optional and under DM discretion. It's odd, but entirely possible.
>>55230646
Gosh I love Maine Coons. Best cats there are
>>55230646
It's not normal but it's nothing to be worried about. Some DM just don't like 'em them. Some just forget.
5e was built with magic item progression in mind but it's like it was in previous editions where a +3 sword was required to remain viable at later levels.
If he starts to throw monsters with weapon resistance at you definitely call him out but.
The movie Was crap, but the setting would make for a good RPG. Which system would best work?
