Why are you being a retard? Generals have been in every case, make looking for threads easy, and often distribute content. Not to mention that the RPG and TT generals and VG are full of free downloads of great stuff.

Gentlemen, how do we fix the sisters of battle?

Should they be close combat almost space marines? Part of a larger faith based imperial faction? Lesser Daemons of the Emperor?

They're going to be included in the Imperial Agents book.

Anyway, they should be the Imperium masters of mid-range shooting. Make their bolters Salvo 2/3. Universal 5++ or 6++ as a "faith save". Fearless.

>a device on the ship that when activated emits the thermal and radio signature of a BIG asteroid

This won't really look like an asteroid, as you can't give yourself an Radar Cross Section bigger than you are via emission. It might be possible to use a reflective chaff cloud but that won't look like an asteroid. Beating radar isn't really important, as it's not going to be what you're spotted with. (thermal is most likely, but optical systems could as well)

Pretending to be an asteroid isn't useful though.

1. Ship leaves port (it's so easy to track that it will be)
2. Ship becomes asteroid (??? watch closely)
3. "Asteroid" approaches ship, which has likely been warned that something weird is happening already
4. Everyone knows the pirate ship wasn't a real asteroid, and can use signature analysis to identify it, especially once real sensors get pointed at potential piracy (full on optical telescopes which can image a ship directly might appear here)

Or, you have it on the whole time.
1. Hab launches asteroid under power in an unknown direction.
2. Oh shit moment because if they aren't stopped asteroids are potential WMDs, and this one hasn't sent warning.
It's like secretly flying into a country by pretending to be an ICBM.

Pretending to be another ship is similar, as the other ships need to be of similar mass and composition to what they're impersonating. Decoys are essentially full fledged ships.

Here's how I think a pirate might operate:
1. Be a legitimate extropian, anarchist, or similar cargo hauler.
2. Intercept a ship in a "crowded" area like the main belt with a lot of traffic in various directions, so getting close isn't as suspicious.
3. Launch a boarding ship. Could be something like a Firewall stealth pod, or just a MH rocket which can outrun any big hauler.
4. Seize enough control of the ship to slow it down (undefended automated ships are best for this)
5. Bring in your mothership and take the cargo
6. Fuck off back to a friendly port
>>
>>50485426
Ok, let's say your device works and doesn't cook your own ship with heat. You look like a fat ass ship with shitty drives and low mass.

>>Let's assume your target was blind or retarded and didn't make any pictures of your ship before your got them.

the pirates don't need to approach the cargo from the front, and again the first thing they should do is going for the coms, and if they take a picture of the pirate with their sensors, before switching on the asteroid device, other than with a normal camera, they will see a ship bigger than the pirate ship.
And if they make a picture of the pirate ship after the pirates destroyed the coms who cares, they'll just have to delete those pictures.

If they somehow make a picture of my ship before destroying their coms, well fuck... they are pirates its not an easy and without danger life.

>>You need to hope that no one was making a space sweep in your direction before you activated your "cloaking" device.

If the pirate are going to make a robbery they will depart from a station with the "big ship" device turned on. (lets say an Extropia station or hub or whatever, just need to be a lot of ships there).

The big ship device would be something that give the pirates the thermal and radio signal of a ship bigger than the pirate ship but not so big that it would be super strange.
If a thing that would be usefull with the possibility that someone comes at the pirates and says
"we have this signal of a ship that made a robbery, let us check your thermal/radio emission of your ship to see if you are the one that did that"
They will check the pirate ship and will see that the thermal and radio signal that they have is different from the one of the pirates.

cont.
>>
cont.

>>50485904

>>Even if you drop your device on the target ship and blow it up it won't stop someone from tracking your ship.

I actually don't care about that, they can track the pirates but they will track the big ship device signal that the pirates will switch off once in an Extropian station, so when they will go away from that station to sell the cargo in, let's say, another station they will go away without any device switched on.
People tracking them would see that the big ship with thermal signature that made the robbery entered the Extropian station, with a lot of other ships, and a lot of other ships got out of the station, one of them will be the pirate ship with no device switched on, and the people tracking it will lose the signal once the ship is in the station.

Does Integrity have the most boring Ability description of them all?

>The faerie queen’s eyes were pinpoints of light, colorful stars scattered carelessly across the swirling darkness of her countenance. These eyes surveyed Lance of Starfallen Justice as he entered her boudoir, with a polite nod to his salamander-headed guide. The warrior’s polished orichalcum hauberk was as splendid as his bearing, and the constellation of the queen’s eyes could see the tongues of fire that burnt in his soul—surely a man to be tempted by power and glory. With a wave she called up gossamer marvels from her treasure vaults: a mirror that whispered profound and terrible wisdoms; an ewer styled as a dragon’s head that held liquid immortality; a black diamond that could beckon forth countless hobgoblin servants. Lance of Starfallen Justice regarded her display politely, as he took a seat to negotiate for the souls of the villagers imprisoned in her palace. “No thank you, fair lady.”

Hon hon hon, are you afraid to lose against the best chef of all the land? I should cook you with my chicken!
>>
I would accept the challenge. As my character is quite fond of karmaic justice, especially with assholes, I would bring him down. I would challenge him to cooking tomorrow, giving us time to prepare and plan our dishes. We even offer to go second, which as a self-centered bastard he is sure to accept.

Our wizard would use scrying or some other magical sight to see what our competition is going to prepare. We mark it down, with some differences.

Then, over the course of the night, our rogue would get to work. Taking the note in our handwriting, the rogue's job would be to sneak it onto the Chef's person, with a few notes on the planted paper with a forged copy of his writing.

When the day of the cooking competition comes around, we cook based on what we have already written down. The judges will be rightfully confused, but that is where the Bard comes in. The bard will happen to 'notice' the piece of paper sticking out of the Chef's pocket with my handwriting on it and the chef's.

A simple writing test will confirm the handwriting, and with the Bard having excellent persuasion skills and some bonuses from his magic item to win the crowd over, shame the chef for his cheating ways. If the Chef is truly as angry and megalomaniac as you say, then his sous chefs won't rise to defend him. The rogue can act as a plant in the crowd to echo the Bard.

We win the money due to our virtuous nature, and the chef is run out of town. We win the knife, donate a portion of the money to the sous chefs to apologize for working for such a dishonest man, and continue on our way.

Are there any games that directly reward teamwork, working together, overcoming disagreements etc.? Not talking about games where the mechanics indirectly make that the optimal way to play (not splitting the party in D&D).

So what 'niches' of warfare haven't been filled yet? Like, there were two lost Primarchs, clearly they had to have some kind of unique specialty. With the canonical ones, we're already doubling up.

For instance, both Ferrus and Vulkan are the guys who are good at forging. Alpharius, Corax and Night Haunter are all good at being sneaky. Sanginus and Angron both have the 'berserker' thing down, while Sangy and Fulgrim are both the 'pretty ones'. The only guy who doesn't have a direct analogue is Lorgar, whose gimmick is that he's 'the religious one'.

Right, well, you've got your standard weapons tech. In addition to your mention of beam swords, you've also got beam rifles/cannons. Many mecha use more conventional projectile weapons, though they may use electromagnetism instead of chemical explosions to launch them. Missiles, too, obviously.

Flight is a popular ability to grant mecha in many settings, so wings or thrusters or even giant fans have been observed. Likewise, underwater capabilities, so propellers or water jets, as well as improved pressure seals. Rarely you have burrowing mecha, so drills or (one I find particularly interesting) ultrasonic rock disintegraters.

For control systems, you've got your usual cockpit, with or without 360 degree panoramic screens. "Linear seats" that compensate for acceleration forces are a staple of the UC Gundam setting. Other settings might use fluid buffers or more exotic systems based on electromagnetic or gravitational fields to compensate. You've also got a wide variety of possible control schemes. I'm quite partial to mind-machine interfaces, but motion tracing or compact physical controls are more common.

Getting into the weird stuff, I've always loved biomechanical mecha, whether they're cyborgs or made of some halfway point between flesh and metal. Energy shielding is a must in many settings, offering strong protection for little dead weight. Cloaking is fairly rare on a mecha, but I've seen some works use it effectively. Similarly, teleportation or phasing tech appears occasionally.

Okay so we know that Space Marines have super-efficient metabolisms and basically only eat nutrient pills. So they don't poop.

But what about Sisters of battle? They aren't biologically enhanced but also have to wear cumbersome power armor they can't take off in the middle of the fight because it's basically welded shut around them.

So what do they do when they need to go potty?

Do they just wear diapers and use them? Like Samus?

Tonight's episode: The Legend of Koizumi Chapters 36-40!

In last night's episode, Koizumi travelled to the Secret Mahjong club to train against the three legendary mahjong players: Stalin, Roosevelt, and Churchill! Meanwhile, Hitler has successfully defeated the coup let by Rommel just in time for Earth to finally figure out his Strategy. Will they be able to use it and defeat the fourth reich? Will Koizumi's training be for naught? Will I use too many exclamation marks? Stay tuned to find out!

I have an issue, /tg/.

Last session we had, one of my players made a promise to an NPC. My original plan was to see if he forgot it while being caught up in the adventure.
But then fucking life happened, and we haven't had a session for 4 or 5 weeks. So real time it's been almost over a month, but in game, it's been a matter of hours.

I don't know if he would have remembered on his own in the next regular weekly session.
Is it unfair of me to expect him to remember, or should I mention it to him given that it's only been a day in game?

Drop him a hint about having made a promise to see if it jogs his memory. If he remembers it's all good, if he doesn't you gave him a fair chance to remember without negating the point of whatever deal you had going with him and the NPC.

Alternatively, you could do some sort of recap at the beginning of the session (probably a good idea anyway, after that long) and make sure there's a reference to it in there somewhere, just enough that it should probably remind him.
